More improvements are needed on customer service. Simple training would greatly improve service. When using the kiosk for ordering is fine. However if you're wanting a receipt you're out of luck. Now I personally know the manager can print you one. For whatever reason they instructed the cashier to say we can't. Simple little things can go a long way. read more

Actually stopped in this grocery store because we needed a bathroom break halfway on our road trip from Atlanta to North Carolina. We were super impressed with the size, selection, and specialty items....so we walked around and ended up buying a few items to use at the location we were headed to. (Beer, water, coffee, coffee filters) Like I said, it's a big store with nice, big, wide aisles. There were a lot of shoppers in the store; but checkout was a breeze. On our way to the bathroom, which was way in the back corner, we passed cool features like: a sushi station, fresh pizza counter, an olive bar, and even a gelato counter! (I've never seen a gelato counter in a grocery store before, and the only grocery store I know with fresh pizza is Costco.). There was also a huge floral department, a nice attractive corner for wine & beer, and even a little Starbucks. The Starbucks was more than just a counter too! It had 6-8 little bistro style tables and was a WiFi hotspot. I upped my review from 4 to 5 stars because even the bathrooms were nice & clean with raspberry scented foam soap & fresh flowers by the sink! (Nice touch Ingles I have seen other stores from this chain before; but never really paid attention to them. Now I'll definitely pop in the next time I see one; and I'm looking forward to the day they may eventually arrive in South Florida where I live. read more

This Ingles Markets location on Scenic Plaza Drive is a well managed Ingles that has everything that you need from an Ingles and more. I really like the bakery and deli sections here the most. My husband and I shop here frequently when we are visiting in the area. This is a clean and well organized super market. Upon entry you find yourself in a farm of fresh produce. Prices are reasonable if you consider the quality you are receiving. There is a seafood section and meat section, both of which are immaculately clean. The butcher is more than willing to accommodate your requests, if possible. The Deli department has all your usual cold cuts and salads, as well as some prepared foods for convenience. The bakery section is huge and is full of marvelous desserts if you choose to try. They will custom make birthday, anniversary, graduation, and all types of assorted cakes for your function. The grocery section is well organized and always has been well stocked. The frozen food and dairy sections are as clean, well kept and stocked as the other departments are. We didn't have the opportunity to use the Pharmacy Department, but I would not hesitate. Bottom line, this is a beautiful, clean and well stocked store, with helpful staff who will do what they can to assist you to find anything. The cashiers are polite and friendly. I have never had any issues with this store for the past few years coming to this area. We will continue to shop here until we die, which hopefully will be a long, long time. read more

I wonder why Ingles even has a deli. The staff do not want you there. They are rude and will down right ignore you because they do not want to use the meat slicers. The deli supervisor walked right by me 3 times while a just waIted... for no one. Then a lady came up and said she was about to clock out. No one was replacing her. It was 6pm. Weird place. Tons of prepared foods, bakery items but produce, seafood, and especially meat is only meh at best and pretty pricey at that. Does have a broad but expensive aisle of international foods. But stocking is erratic. Good luck. read more

We just moved here from the Columbia, SC area, so I had never heard of Ingles before. The store is huge for being in such a small town; I do like that there's a Starbucks oh, and the Olive bar! My overall experience was excellent; prices are higher than a Walmart, but you also get what you pay for, right? read more

I am not sure why there have been negative reviews but everyone has an opinion. This is my local grocery store I shop here probably every other day. It is always clean and organized. Every time I walk in the store someone says hello and if I have any questions at all someone is always willing to help! Their produce and meat selections are always fresh! read more

American owned? Guess employees at this Ingles location only want to treat the local "Americans" well. Visiting this store 2 days ago gave us a real lesson in rudeness and poor customer service that we haven't experienced in quite awhile. From the service in the meat department: no friendly smile of greeting and a real attitude while selecting our meat choice, to the employee working the deli counter who would not take no for an answer when we said we did - not - want a sample of the sliced sandwich meat that was cut. This store astounded us on the lack of their employees customer service skills. Unfortunately, the rudeness didn't end there. When advised that we wanted the cheese sliced thinner, the employee glared at us and said; "You're not from around here are you?". WHAT?! When the answer was, no we're from Northern Virginia, the response was: "Oh, you're up there with 'them'." WHAT?! This conversation continued downhill when we were asked who we were going to vote for etc. There's more, but you get the point. Not sure what kind of customer service training these folks get, but not everyone who walks thru the doors are your neighbors. We don't all look like you or talk like you, but we are Americans. Americans just traveling these United States trying to appreciate the beauty this great country of ours has to offer. read more
