Drove over 6 hours to visit the area. Went to go grocery shopping since they were advertised to stay open til 11pm. We were kicked out at 9pm since they were closing at 9 to "clean the floors. " According to management, they only clean the floors one day a year. Gross! read more

Stopped by one time before to use restroom and there was urine in many soap bottles even some for display (think an employee needs fired there for misconduct). However they resolved that issue as I notified them about it. So I'm grateful no one had the misfortune of buying that.. Otherwise love the food selection in the store and it's usually not too busy. Some produce like vegetables were too close to expiration to be able to buy, only got to use about 2 or 3 of the hatch chili peppers I bought since most of those were turning. Most of the time the products are good. I love the selection of coffee and they even have a Starbucks inside too. Lots of options for spices and teas! read more

I was treated very poorly when coming in to purchase balloons, the woman was utterly exasperated that I would even darken her doorstep to purchase them because she "gets off in five minutes". I spoke with a manager whom asked me to wait outside so he could "speak to her without me being around" while they sorted out my order. I just felt completely ignored as to how rude I was treated and couldn't WAIT to get my items (after 45 minutes) and leave. With no apologies or explanation. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Customer service is lacking significantly as well as management. read more

I am standing at the deli case to order some Boarshead. There is one other customer there who just got an order of a deli salad, two workers behind the counter. Second worker takes my order, then tells me if I want to wait, it will be 20 min for my 1/2 pound of turkey. I look around, demonstrating I am the only customer there and ask "why is that", he says. "I have orders ahead of you". I say "I'm the only one here". He says they ordered earlier. I say, "I'm standing right here, this is the last thing I need. How does that make any sense?" I left. Not even the 15th time this has happened. Get more help! Bring back the numbers!!! Something!!! I have peripheral nuerothropy in my feet. I don't want to walk all the way across the store to come back for an order I am now standing right next to. This store does not allow you to pay cash at self check out, any of them, while they seldom have more than two actual check out lines. If you give them a $100 dollar bill they always have to go to their office to break it. Because they only give them a 100 dollar drawer!!! THe answer to that issue from the GM is the bank won't give them enough money!!! Get a new bank!!!! The "GM" (in quotes because of the following) is always, ALWAYS stocking shelves when I see him there. Hey, maybe you could go help out at the deli. I've brought my concerns to the management team here several times. Civilly in the beginning years ago, now, not so much. As soon as, the very instant someone else comes to town with Boarshead, I, and a whole lot of other folks are going there. Last major grocery before you either lose your phone signal or you get into the mountainous areas of Blue Ridge. Nice size store and friendly helpful employees. Average pricing even though they have a lock on the area. If only I could go to Blue Ridge again, I'd be sure to return. read more

Deli needs more training. I like to see what is being sliced so I dont get home disappointed. Otherwise I'm satisfied with the store.

What a wonderful store. After having to endure poor service and products while shopping in Publix, Ingles is a blessing. Tonight I had shrimp and corn soup that was one of the best soups I have ever tasted. The service is great and the store is immaculate. My out of town guests actually take videos of the store to show people back home. I would give Ingles 10 stars if that was an option. read more

I am mixed on the quality of this store. The produce is decent some days but on others I can't find a thing. On most occasions the avocados are mush. But they want full price. If you want pre cut fruit you will pay a huge price. But more times than not it looks very old and slimy. I have resorted to the sale bar but at 6.99 a pound its outrageous. The deli is always, and I mean always understaffed. They will be the first to let you know when and how many have called in. I usually like a tea from the deli but the wait to get someone to come ring you up and hand you a cup is an average of five minutes. I am a frequent deli meat customer and when there is enough help the staff is always nice and very accommodating. Now, my beef is with the cashiers. For the most they are high school and college kids making extra money,no problem. I don't mind the competition of who rings up faster or bags fast. I do have an issue with the ones who don't get any sleep all night and let you know they do not have school or a second job but they just didn't sleep and are very absent from the whole check out! They do not know the produce they are ringing..... they do not bag your groceries and forget a thank you for doing it for them. I don't even require any friendly conversation. If you can't come to work and at least do your job on an accurate level then please stay home! I also always check dates on all packages here. You will find a lot of expired items on the shelves. The seafood dept is usually very nice and helpful and I find the prices very reasonable. okay, Im done. The end. read more

Love this grocery store. Salad bar has everyhing, fruit salad is fresh, olive bar and chicken wings by the pound. Deli is Boar's Head. Cheeses of all sorts as well as butcher cuts of meat. Wine selection and every beer you can think of is here. Clean and great customer service. read more

Although the produce displays are nice, the produce is more often than not, anything but fresh. The produce at Food Lion or Walmart is fresher. We drive 40 miles to Publix for fresh produce or get it from the local farmers' markets. read more

They have the highest prices of all stores in the area. The deli might have some good food but when you wait more than a 1/2 hour to get served there's some thing wrong. Coming out of Covid 19 lock down, they advertised buy one get one free ice cream. (Tillomock) It was on a weekly sale. My wife went in yesterday to get some and they were out, I went back today and they were out. I was willing to forgive the ice cream but they were out of several items according to an elderly couple I met at the ice cream. I had to go to the managers office & I requested a Rain Check. They said they don't issue them. I asked for them to restock the ice cream & they are out. They would not give a rain check to cover an item advertised and they said I could buy other ice cream. It would cost an additional $5.00 to match the add's BOGO. Then I asked about the other items the couple found missing while on sale. This is as dishonest as it gets. There have been enough stores found behaving this way. It is not the way I want to do business and will only go there as a last resort from now on. Stay away. They lack integrity. Tom read more

This review is solely based on the new Chinese food (Chopsticks Asian Express) that Ingles has added inside the store. You should never use linguine noodles and call it Lo Mein. It was so terrible that I threw it away after one bite. Horrible! Make authentic Lo Mein! read more

Ingles has just added Chinese food, pizza making and Gelato stations. That's great but you need more than two people working behind the counter. I went in yesterday. What a disaster...two people behind with a new girl who didn't know what she was doing. I was third in line waiting to order dinner to take home. The poor elderly woman was doing everything while the new girl was putting Ragoons one at a time in the basket. She then went over and checking people out when she should of waited on the people in line. They can go up front and pay. Two people came to the end of the line and she preceded to take care of them instead of taking the next people in line. They wanted subs to which she relied I don"t know how to make them but I'll give it a try.. I don't know who manages this department but he is not doing his job. This girl needs training and you need more help there if adding all these new stations. I could tell you a few more stories that has happen in that department in the last few months but I'll hold my tongue....GET SOME MUCH NEEDED HELP.. oh yes after 22 minutes of waiting for help the lady in front of me left and I followed.. read more

I tried to call Ingles, both in Blue Ridge and in Ellijay to order a cake for my husbands birthday. They didn't bother to answer the call! I've tried to call more than once and all times the call switched over to the service desk. And they tried to call the bakery to no avail. They need more help obviously. Visited Ingles today, and as usual there was only one person working in the Deli Meat/Cheese department. When I asked if the Deli Manager was available, the girl nodded to a lady and said "the one with the white cap is the manager". Of course that lady totally ignored me, but as I had waited so long that she was leaving, pushing a cart with a gallon of liquid on it, and I stopped her and asked if she was the Deli manager she said she was the assistant manager. I told her she need help in the Deli Meat Department............she said "yes, there is only one girl"!" I asked if the Manager was available and was told he was off today..............Moving on to the fresh meat department, I was looking for a half ham and saw their sign "Smithfield Smokied Butt portion ham $1.28 per lb. Of course I could not find that product, so I took the sign to someone behind the fresh meat counter. He went with me to the Hams and couldn't find one either, so he went to see if there was one in the back....nope! Was I frustrated when I left the store? You bet I was. Ingle's has just spent hundreds of thousands of dollars renovating and "improving" their store to what avail if there is no-one to help when you shop there. read more

I liked the Ingles in Ellijay as long as Tony was there, but when management sent him to Gainesville, I decided to shop elsewhere. Tony should not have to drive that far everyday when he did a wonderful job at the store here. read more

Worst grocery store ever. Shelves rarely stocked well. Items suddenly discontinued. Staff very unfriendly. Would rate less than one star if that were available. Sadly the competition is either Food Lion or Walmart. Makes me wish I could move from Ellijay. read more

A clean bright store with very friendly service with a great selection of fresh produce, foods, meat and groceries! I used to shop at the Jasper Ingles on my way to the mountains but the staff and yes, even management will ignore customers. I prefer the Ellijay Ingles where every staff person is willing to be friendly and helpful. read more
