I've been to many Walmarts in my lifetime and this one isn't bad at all. It's huge and has ample space in the lot outside to find parking. Inside they have EVERYTHING you can think of from groceries, to home goods, clothing and toys for the whole family, a pharmacy and a tire center. I stopped by for some groceries and some corn for the deer. Darren was incredibly kind. I caught him by the bathrooms at the back of the store and he helped me locate the corn. He didn't just direct me to the corn, he actually walked to to it! It was such a kind gesture and brought so much joy to my heart! He even offered to lift it into the cart for me! He's a doll! Grocery wise I was able to find most of what I needed, and am grateful for it! Elaine helped me at the check out area and was kind and helpful with bagging items. The store was clean and things were easy to find! I love this Walmart and will be back. read more

I went to go cheek out and I get to the cashier she scanning my sketches that's in a 3 peace she scans it and It doesn't pop up she scans it some more times and It still do pop up so she calls some one else she scans it make it work as we think and it doesn't work she explains and says what we would have to all of them one by one we got up set and left. read more

They used to be pretty efficient with their grocery delivery, but it's gone to crap. Seriously I think they could screw up the inner workings of a ball bearing. Whenever you get something late afternoon, you can pretty well bet. It won't be delivered until the next morning-- not even then on one occasion. But if you retired no vehicle and you want to eat, it may be the best option ? There has to be a better way, but I'm not sure what it is. But when I find it, I'll let you know. read more

A FIVE STAR Review of a Walmart? I know, I would not have ever believed it myself but after almost a year of stopping at the Walmart located in East Ellijay we have actually enjoyed the experiences and they have all been positive. Before relocating to Dawsonville my wife and I would make the drive every weekend to get out of the craziness that is the urban scene of Nashville. Our trip took us through East Ellijay and we stopped every week on Friday evening to pick up groceries and other items at this store. The biggest difference we found was the attitude, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. WOW, what a change from anything we were used to in the Nashville stores. As we shopped staff working the isles would greet us and ask if we were finding everything we needed instead of the usual Walmart effort to ignore and look right through you. The cashiers were friendly, helpful and actually engaged us in conversation and over time even remembered us. Not only were the staff members great but other customers would engage in conversation and greet you as you shopped. The store is large with wide isles so getting around is not an issue. The store was always clean and very well stocked which is not our usual experience at Walmart. This store created a very comfortable shopping environment. The meat, dairy and produce area we always find all items to be in date and not spoiled which is also a difference from others Walmart's we have shopped at. I cannot find any negatives with all of our experiences shopping at the East Ellijay Walmart and they truly deserve the 5 star rating based upon our experiences. read more

Management tries to close an hour early every night, go to ingles, food lion, or the new aldi instead.

Worst deli service in my life. Not the first time either. The employees completely ignore you. They just keep cleaning and don't even say I'll be there in a minute. One deli girl just threw my ham on the counter and walked away. Dorothy today could t even look up until I asked if she was still open. I thanked her as I left but no response just walks away. Also produce is very sketchy. Always check dates. They leave rotting lettuce and veggies on the shelves. If you say something g they give u a dirty look. Unfortunately for me there's not a lot of choices in Ellijay. I'll keep my business at Ingles. You can only be ignored so many times. read more

Best Walmart I've ever been to. It was so clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean. The store has an optometrist nail salon & hair salon which really comes in handy!! When I'm back in the area I'll definitely go back, it's the perfect one stop shop before getting to the cabin. read more

I give them zero ratings. I walked in with ny service dog and he barked once and a lady whose name I didn't get but she came out of a room by the entrance in the grocery area and rudely told me he wasn't allowed. I've taken my service dog to Walmart a million times and I've seen regular dogs here another million times. She was in the mood to be rude. read more

It is terrible when Walmart 1)doesn't enforce or say anything to people not wearing masks. Less than half the people in the store were wearing masks. 2) don't care that there are only 3 lanes open and the lines are all the way to the doors...CSM was notified and didn't care to say or do anything about it. This exact same thing happened several days ago during rush hour. The CSM at the time, also said there was nothing she could do...and there were a lot of other workers out in the store that could've come check people out! This is atrocious! Walmart obviously doesn't care about customers time! They don't follow the CDC guidelines for masks or for disinfecting between customers either! read more

Don't even bother trying grocery pick up. It's over an hour wait and they don't tell you that until you call them and then they tell you even though you got an email confirming your order is ready for pick up, it's actually not ready and it will be another 20-30 minutes. The best part is the sarcastic apology. read more

Three part review. WalMart, Nintendo, Mojang Purchased Minecraft Dungeons physical for $29.99 after playing with a friend on PS4, the game lags on single player offline, and extremely bad on co-op. Mojang admits it's been an issue for over (1 year).. I can't even play it, it lags so bad that it'll make you sick.. Nintendo should not be selling this game until Mojang fixes it's problems.. Needed an Oil change for an upcoming trip...went to Walmart Auto Center in East Ellijay Ga....Couldn't get waited on...although there was a girl and a Guy...watching and doing nothing...Guy with a chin beard and chain was talking to 2 guys in a pickup supposed to be greeting customers..... did nothing....25 minutes later...i backed out and left...Came back this morning at 9 AM...4/18/2019....2 people in line at the LUBE line...I made 3 phone calls ...25 minutes later...the guy in front of me asked me to back up...he was leaving...the guy in front of him was also leaving...I pulled into the spot...cut my engine and went inside....The beard was talking on the phone and turned his back...fat guy in the office was laying back texting on his phone...doing NADA...I cussed them both out and told them you have customers driving off...because no one can get waited on!..Went inside and complained to Cody...the Auto mgr...and read him the riot act...He said they were in "transition" and it would get better ...asked if I wanted to get my car done...I said heck no...never coming back here...are you kidding me!...RUN from this auto shop...never leave your car to these idiots and imbeciles...The shop is dirty.....the mechanics are dirty...dirty clothes...and zombies...they could care less! Management here doesn't have a clue. Day before start of school went to pick up lunch meat from deli to make lunches for children. To my delay the lady behind counter never acknowledged me after 5 minutes. Then she tells me deli is Closed. It was 6:10 PM store pack with back to school shopper. Tried their inventory app, says this store has three 5-shelf bookcases I want. But I've been to the Ellijay store three times now and none of the bookcases are with the stock on the shelves, and three different employees have been unable to find the bookcases out back. I spent a half hour in the store today just trying to find an employee to look for the bookcases - a clerk paged for help several times, nobody showed up, so I had to stand in the middle of this store shouting "Hey Walmart, we need a clerk in the furniture section" at the top of my lungs several times before an employee finally arrived. But that employee couldn't find the shelves either (thanks for trying, Tim). I bought groceries at this Walmart (Ellijay Ga.) When I got to the register, I noticed that the bacon that I had picked up, was molded. It had actual blue and green spots on it. The cashier called a manager over and he looked at it and took it away. No one apologized, nor did they offer any compensation. They didn't even offer to get me another pack of bacon. I wish I had spoke up, but my daughter was with me and I didn't want to embarrass her. If I was the manager of a big chain that prides itself on it's fresh food, I would have given the customer her groceries for free, or at the very least, and I mean very least, a free pack of unmoldy bacon. They didn't even ask me if I wanted another pack of bacon, to replace the one that was molded. WOW, Walmart! You need to step up your game. I feel it is my responsibility to warn everybody I know to check any food that they buy at Walmart, for rot or not to ever shop at the Walmart Market, because I would hate for anyone to get sick from eating spoiled food. read more
