I spoke with the owner, Todd, Oct 2016 and set an appt for mid Nov to have my stained concrete…read morefloors cleaned and waxed as this was his recommendation to restore the shine to my very dull floors. He told me that to maintain the shine I'd have to use a certain cleaner and should expect to need them rewaxed within 12-18 months. Todd was great on the phone as well as in person and my floors looked awesome when he finished them. By mid December my floors had a couple of areas where the wax seemed to have chipped off and they looked dull. I contacted Todd and we agreed I'd call him back in January after my holiday company left and we'd set a time for him to come out and fix these spots. From this point forward things seemed to drag out and the floors rapidly got worse. First Todd wasn't sure why my floors were chipping and said he needed to talk with his distributor. I don't know how long it took for him to actually speak with the distributor but he didn't ever call back. I called him a month later and he told me that the distributor wasn't sure why my floors were chipping. On and on this went and the "nice Todd" who came out and did the job initially and who was more than happy to charge me $1,800+ for the work, would now not return any phone calls nor refund my money. The solution he came up with was to do a different type of treatment on the floors that would cost me another $800. I told him that was unacceptable and that as the professional, he should have chosen the right product initially. Once Todd stopped returning my calls and stopped emailing me, I began calling other distributors that used the same product Todd did as well as the Regional Manager for that product for my area. Every one of them told me that the product should have lasted at least a year and that the reason it was chipping was because Todd hadn't cleaned the floors properly prior to applying the wax. I emailed Todd and told him this but he denied that that was the problem and still had no answer as to why the floors were chipping. His only thought was that I had a lot of foot traffic at my house to which I told him that I'm the only one home all day as my daughter is at school and my husband away at work. At this point he refused to return any phone calls and then stopped replying to any emails. I paid him $1800+ for floors that looked great for less than a month. I hope by posting my experience no one else will get roped into believing that Todd Butler of Ultimate Concrete Finishes knows how to effectively clean and shine your floors.
