I love this store in Irvington. The wooden paneled walls are incredible and I'm lusting after them for my own space and the super comfortable rock rug! They have a style of the light, modern, natural, and repurposed look that I love and which is very trendy right now. The store isn't very big but has some great windows to make the lighting very nice and open so it feels much larger than it actually is. If you're looking to design your apartment or home, definitely stop by the store and take a look around. They do have a parking lot and are close to the Coalyard, so you can grab a coffee afterwards. read more

Inhabit is a modern design enthusiast's dream! This large, beautiful space is located in the soon-to-be hopping Coal Yard shopping district of Irvington. Here you will find a sprawling showroom filled with mid-century inspired sofas and credenzas, unique lamps and accent pieces, and locally-made wall flats, lighting and bedding that are produced onsite. This is definitely not a Value City Furniture or Home Goods, so don't come here expecting to spend less than a pretty penny, but the items they offer are stylish and comfy to boot. At the very least, it's a great place to stop in to gain inspiration for your own home; the showroom pieces rotate frequently. So I got new furniture and new house colors... so those old sheets and pillows just weren't going to fly. I searched everywhere looking for some hip, modern linens and wall art that would stand up for years. Inhabit was a wonderful discovery... Environmentally conscious designs for pillows, linens, wall art that were really nice and in the perfect colors. So why not five stars? Two words: customer service. Make SURE you really know what you want before you order from these guys, because once you buy, you're pretty much on your own. They ignored two emails I sent them post-sale. Fortunately I really love the stuff I got, but if/when I buy from them again, I'll do it through a local or online third-party vendor that I know will pick up the phone. read more

Wall flats are poor quality and unusable. Customer service is dismissive and will tell you to bend them back and use a bunch of nails, however they are so far bent if you try to correct them they will crease. They look really cool, but you should expect most of them to arrive defective and for the merchant to not care. read more

Bought their "wood" planks only to find they were made of noxious vinyl. They look decent in pictures, but in person they don't look what I imagine most people expect. Very difficult return process. read more

Bought two pillows and a wall slat from them. I was VERY dissapointed with the quality of the products. The pillows felt cheap and were not true to the color. I guess you do need to order a swatch. The wall slat couldnt be cheaper looking and it was NOT ready to hang. It was torn on the sides and unbalanced. I called to ask about it and they said just fix it on your own its really easy!! [Say what?]. For the price you pay you should be able to hang immediattely no quesitons asked. The return process is a pain in the butt. Very unresponsive people [I honestly think there's only one person who works there] and they are the only online merchant I have dealt with in many years who charge you for the shipping fee and a restocking fee..what a load of crap. Ok so if i had my way i would not even give them any stars but unfortunately that is not an option on here so they get one but def deserve none. My issue with them is their absolute horrible lack of CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased some wall flats from them last month and didn't get what I ordered. The way they had them advertised on the website stated 2 different things so i called the company and explained what had happened...well that's when things got interesting. One would think that they would care about the mix-up and take steps to fix it but it took many phone calls and emails to someone there named Mike we finally got them to give us a refund (Mike stated they don't give refunds usually) but then we had to pay to ship the flats back! So i ended up paying for the product and the return shipping and I thought to myself this is horrible customer service, this company should be helping me out not making it more difficult. I called Mike again this morning and he was rude to me! His exact words were "well you're never satisfied with anything so what do you want me to do?" I was floored! I've only talked to this guy twice since I placed this order and he seems to care so much about his customers that he will be rude and completely unprofessional to them! I asked to speak with a manager because I just wanted to ask if they were going to return my shipping and he said that he was the co-owner and that there was no one else I could speak with, when I asked if I could speak with another owner and he flat-out refused! I have never had to deal with someone so unprofessional! I followed up with the Indianapolis BBB and these guys aren't even registered with them so buyer definitely beware... So in conclusion...do not, I repeat, DO NOT order anything from them and if you have the unfortunate experience of trying to get your money back good luck! I will never be using their website or company again and I will make sure that all of my friends and family are aware of this company. read more
