This can be considered "unlawful detainment"- especially without cause. The entire interaction felt discriminatory--especially considering my friends (who look younger) had no issue. As a masculine-presenting woman and someone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, I left feeling targeted rather than "carded." I've never had anyone question this ID at clubs, dispensaries, or any other establishment. Based on this experience, I will not return and I would caution other LGBTQ+ individuals to be aware of how they may be treated here.
