I originally called about a piercing with a specific piercer and was told he was not taking appointments. very disturbing to hear during a pandemic. i did a lot of research before choosing this place and piercer so i saw that at one point they stopped piercing altogether for safety-awesome. they are APP certified . their site does not specify what they do & don't offer-annoying. due to piercing placement i wanted to make sure my clothing would be comfortable and i had everything i would need beforehand. sigh anyway when i arrived there were a few people waiting inside. they were all busy and booked except the piercer taking walk-ins. ppwrk is filled out on an ipad which is cool but germs lol .. never saw it get wiped down. there was a customer inside the front with NO mask and i just knew they were getting a piercing so they removed it for a consult? which still why are you doing that in the common area. then i see they are getting a tattoo on their lower body. so they just didn't have on a mask and it wasn't enforced. the staff i dealt with was nice, reassured me about the piercing, the bed was cleaned before and after my usage. i think like a lot of places people are getting comfortable with sanitation but considering everything here is done to your body eek. i hope their scheduling gets revamped covid or not. it's a bit chaotic even for tattoos. i think the studio does nice work and i would still recommend them as far as that goes.

I love my little flower and I'm so glad I went to Matt at Ink Therapy!!

Matt Vermillion is a very talented piercer and is also an APP member. He takes time with his clients and ensures that you have a great experience. The jewelry is gorgeous and high end, not cheap stainless steel. The metal used is gold or implant grade titanium. I trust him undoubtedly!! I also sent my Aunt to Ink Therapy to get her last tattoo. She loves Dave Matthews and got the Fire Dancer right below her neck. It looked awesome just like I knew it would after seeing the digital look books of AMAZING artists' work on the wall!

I had a great experience at this shop. I walked in looking for my first tattoo and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The receptionist paired me with an artist she thought could help me and we discussed what I was looking for and set an appointment. When I returned for the appointment the artist was ready to go and finished my tattoo up in 40 minutes. I would recommend this studio to anyone!

The shop is very large and clean. The artists have separate rooms them work in. They do quality work.

The service is very slow. They waste a lot of time even if customers are waiting.

I went in for 3 piercings today. I requested the first available piercer and Jamie was who I was…read morebooked with. She did an excellent job! I was nervous but we made easy conversation and she helped me feel so relaxed. I got my second earlobe piercing in each ear and my right helix done. I picked my jewelry at the counter and the receptionist offered some excellent advice in choosing my piercing jewelry as I had a hard time deciding between the many options. The shop is very clean and has a chill vibe. I will be back to get my tragus done, and hopefully a tattoo sometime! Thank you so much, Jamie and EBTN!

I came in to get a year-old helix piercing changed from a flat-backed stud to a hoop and was told…read moreit could be done. The studio where I got it done originally put the stud on very tight. Something was clearly wrong. Instead of stopping, I went through an incredibly painful removal and jewelry change process at Evil By The Needle. I was told constantly by employee they were "sorry this is so uncomfortable," as I was biting back curses and experienced pain much worse than the original piercing. I bled a considerable amount and experienced a lot of discharge that I haven't in months. It is clear now that it has not healed (and was under stress), but that was not the impression given as the employee lightheartedly told me that I could "get away" with a hoop being put on. Original jewelry was given to me uncleaned with blood on it in a bag. I hope I am wrong but I do not trust that this type of piercing will be done properly here in general. In trying to fix it, another studio let me know the way the piercing exited my ear made it so jewelry put too much pressure on it. Serious irritation resulted. I do not blame Evil By The Needle for the mistake of the previous studio, but they should not have moved forward putting in their jewelry, which was also far too large for my ear and the seam where the hoop closed did not meet. It was jagged enough to tear up my ear further. Helix piercings can easily have complications, but my situation was not helped by my experience here. Though it is not infected, I wish I had been told the seriousness of the situation and given advice on how to proceed. I needed to start over and let the area heal. Instead, a needlessly painful situation was furthered... and they let me shop at their studio for new jewelry to put in. I seriously urge anyone getting riskier piercings to look somewhere else for expertise and guidance on their proper handling. If you have concerns get a second opinion! Mistakes like this can be serious!

Editing my review to reflect our full experience. I will…read morenot be returning to this business nor would I recommend it. I had promised my child she could get her second set of ear piercings for her birthday. We made an evening of it and she was so excited. Her first piercings, we went to a place that used gold earrings and single use, spring loaded "guns." It went perfectly and the healing process was quick with no issues. Same experience when I took her little sister there a month later. I regret that I let the opinions of others sway me into thinking I had chosen wrong. I wish I had just taken her back to the first place we used. We were not greeted when we walked in. The woman at the register was extremely rude when approached and clearly annoyed to be taken away from her phone long enough to engage with us or answer questions. I chose to try Rowan because they boast piercings are done by an RN. While the piercer was kind and took care of her with compassion and swiftness, I'm horrified of the after effects we've dealt with from her using the single use guns that are NOT spring loaded. The earrings are essentially just forced thru the ear lobes by the pressure from the piercers hand. My child immediately began crying after the first one and had a hard time committing to going thru with the other ear, because of the pain. All night, she complained about the pain. She wants to ultimately have 3-4 lobe piercings because she likes the look of multiple earrings. Immediately after leaving, she said next year she wants to go back to the first place that used the spring loaded guns. She said the pain with guns that Rowan uses was "too much." In the middle of the night, she woke me, crying and insisting I needed to take one of the earrings out. I was mortified when I took her into the bathroom and saw her ears. The one was so swollen that it was starting to puff out around the earring. It had to be removed. I took her to her pediatrician in the morning, concerned, because the other ear was also quite swollen. I also wanted to be sure there was no infection in the lobe that we had removed the earring from. Thankfully it was fine, and she told me to continue with care and monitor the one remaining piercing and remove the earring if the swelling worsened. She also said she would never recommend anyone get their ears pierced in the manner that Rowan in using. It causes more trauma than the single use spring loaded guns. Her own pediatrician was shocked to learn about Rowans practices and that they're using the guise of RNs to make this seem like a safer alternative. I ended up paying $150 at Rowan for earrings that are not gold, and ended up with only one piercing and a traumatic experience for my child. Versus paying $120 and receiving gold earrings, 2 perfect piercings and an exciting experience. Rowan also asks you to tip your piercer.

Warring though, if you are going on budget, I got 14k gold earring and it was $183 for the whole service, and after taxes and with tip. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone looking to get a piercing! Loved this place and the people!
