Be advised, under new ownership, John Tchaboukian retired and is no longer the dentist for this office. I was not made aware of this when scheduling my appointment for a clean cleaning, which I believe should have been communicated over the phone. In any event, I arrived at my confirmed appointment time at 10 AM for my teeth cleaning/check-up, which I specifically scheduled on this day because the office admin. said that I could see both the hygienist and doctor at this time. I was promptly placed into a dental chair at 10, however the office admin. asked why I was here today in a confused tone, which I found odd because I already scheduled my appointment for a teeth cleaning/check-up over the phone. Almost as if she was not sure why I was there. After I reiterated that I was here for a teeth cleaning she said "okay, but if you need a deep cleaning you will need to come back." I said "okay, no problem." After she left the room, approximately 10 minutes later, the new doctor (Dr. Vo - I believe) came in and introduce himself and brought up my x-rays from my previous visit and asked a few questions about my flossing, which I answered, he then left the room without any communication as to when I would be seen (x-rays, hygienist, being short-staff, nothing). Around 10 minutes later, I believe the x-ray technician came in and said we are short today I will be with you "soon". I waited a good 30 minutes in that chair without any communication from the staff as to how much longer it would take before getting x-rays. All I was told was that I would be seen "soon". At 11, one hour later, I decided to leave. This office needs to practice better communication and to be considerate of the customer's time. For example, we are short-staffed today, we apologize for this inconvenience, it might take 1-2 hour before being seen today, would you like to reschedule or come in at a later time? read more

Be aware.....: if all the time you see this doctor, he finds that you have cavities, get a second opinion, don't let him drill your healthy teeth!!! Years ago he told me I had five cavities!! I went to other two doctors for another opinion and, indeed, they confirmed that I did not have any cavities. It's been years and these cavities that he claimed I had, have not materialized, yet!!! MANY YEARS LATER AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR THOSE CAVITIES TO APPEAR!!!. I just got another x-ray, I get one every year since I have a good dental insurance, NO CAVITIES ANYWHERE!!!! People get second opinions before having you teeth drilled, you might or you might not have cavities!!!! read more

NO personal attention in this office, no matter how many tens of thousands of dollars you have already spent with them per year, the $225 New Year's pass includes a "surprise" and a $2,100 fee a deep cleaning for that no one wants to think, why? P.S. all dentists in LA, CA go through the same courses and years of qualification, so why is it that most LA dental offices deep cleaning cost $150-300 to do this job and your office thinks to charge people more than $2,100 for it this is OK? Read to the end, please. After going to their office for two years, I had to reschedule the last appointment. I receive a reminder the day before, as usual, and I either confirm or reschedule. In the last one, I needed to reschedule because I was just diagnosed with cancer and have a lot going n. I knew I wouldn't make it to the dentist that day, so I asked to reschedule. They sent another reminder the same day, and when I called to clarify why they didn't receive the cancellation message, they said, ohh that was a courtesy reminder, and I would have called them two days ahead. So, they ask you to contact us 48 hours on, but they send you a reminder ONLY 18 hours before your appointment. SHE (Jessica) SAID, "IT IS NOT MY PROBLEM THAT YOU HAVE CANCER." Came across Inland Dental, I live very close by, soon as I spoke to Jessica I was sold to try them. Very polite, friendly, down to earth staff. THE WORSE OFFICE STAFF EVER. Do not go to this dental office. The office staff (specifically, Jessica) treat patients with awful attitudes. They pretend to be cheerful at first but when you question their fees and request to have the services reviewed by your insurance (which all patients have every right to do so) they turn around and give you an attitude and terminate your services without notice! Worse dental office experience ever! Arguing with patients is so very unprofessional and disheartening for those patients that can't speak up for themselves. That entire office staff needs to stop working with the public. There's a saying, there isn't bad employees just bad managers. Don't waste your time or money at this location. Update - in response to Dr John: Dr John, I didn't go into detail of the many issues I had with your office but since you brought it up let me give you my side of the story of that one day ....since your office staff didn't return my phone calls and emails that I had sent prior to receiving your termination letter advising me that I should look for another dentist. The day mentioned was a Friday evening and yes it was an emergency and yes I had to think about the out of pocket cost Jessica your office support quoted me of $1,300. That was a large amount of money I didn't have funds for. But, Jessica took it upon herself and reviewed my file to inform me that I have Care credit insurance which is basically a credit card. She also stated that if I were to use this credit card specifically that it would be "lower" amount fee equally to what you would charge patients if they were to pay cash up front and she added that she would basically be giving me a discount because your office had already worked on that said tooth previously and that is why my insurance would not pay for additional services on it within a certain amount of years. This is what Jessica relayed to me in a somewhat of an attitude because I asked her to submit a claim to my insurance verifying what she had just told me. But she refused to do so and coughed up an attitude with me because I questioned her. It was late in the day, the weekend, I was in pain and although of the uncertainty of the insurance claims I had no choice but to get service right there and then for my health. If you personally would have called me to discuss your concerns of why I submitted a grievance we wouldn't be here but because of your actions or lack of I am writing my review of my personal experience. Office Staff (Michelle and Jessica) are horrible to deal with I have been going to inland dental for 21 years, used to be the best, not the case anymore My work changed insurance companies which inland dental doesn't take, I tried to get my teeth cleaned and a crown done before the end of the year and my insurance would change Jessica informed me that they can't clean my teeth until the crown is done? Hmm shouldn't it be the other way around? Let my gums settle before the crown is put on? I asked to speak to John (the dentist) and Jessica told me he doesn't talk to patients unless they are in an appointment. And she knows for a fact the tooth must be fixed before my teeth can be cleaned (Now she's the dentist) So I went to my new dentist and they called and asked the Inland dentist group for my dental records (Just had Xrays in Dec) Michelle said I needed to sign a release, SO I did Called to see if I could pick up. Jessica told me it takes UP TO 10-days or a copy 10 days LATER and $15 payment (Which Xrays are already paid from the insurance company) they gave me a colored picture of my teeth NOT Xrays, the new dentist called and inland again and they told them (Jessica) they do not email and that's all they get Stopped by and spoke to Michelle, I said I needed the xrays, she said that's all I get, after going back and forth she finally gave me a full mouth shot of my teeth (REMINDER "it takes 10days" you mean 5 mins) was that so hard done in 5 mins after waiting 15 days They are not professional, it is horrible to get appointments when they feel that you are no longer a customer, who knows in a year I may have came back (NOT ANYMORE) which takes away from the great care of the dentist Lastly, keep on top of the charges, they are out of the guidelines of the insurance,so expect money out of pocket Dr Patel you are truly missed, this would have never happened with you in charge Quick note, new dentist cleaned my teeth then did my crown read more

Many people are afraid of going to the dentist. I, on the other hand, look forward to visiting mine! I love this place in its entirety. Such a wonderful welcoming staff, excellent technicians and a brilliant dentist, Dr. John. I literally drive 40 minutes(or more) to come to this place because I love and trust these people with my dental health. Isn't driving anywhere far a real sign of love when living in LA? I think so, too. Upon arriving, they make you feel at home. There's even coffee and water for you in the waiting room. And everyone is kind. They care about you as a patient, and are excellent at what they do. Dr. John is a straight up wizard when it comes to teeth. He's highly specialized and no problem is too big. He's our family dentist and has helped my mom, dad, my brother and me with so many different dental needs. We started going here before Covid-19 put everyone at holt. Our first experiences were wonderful! Staff, and Dentist were and have been fantastic. They have gotten us in as soon as possible when it has been necessary,& very informative when it came to financials. Worst experience ever. Use a your own risk. The girls that do the cleaning and receptionist are great! But when it comes to dealing with the office Manager "Michelle" who supposedly handles scheduling treatments and dealing with pre-treatment estimates from the Dental Carrier is concerned, good luck, for she does nothing and claims to know nothing. Every other dental office that I have been to in the past have nice, intelligent and knowing Office Managers who can help you in determining the cost and treatments available to the patients after x-rays and exams. After spending years struggling to find a good dentist we came across inland dental group about 5 years ago and our search was over after our first visit. Dr. John's work has been outstanding . His attention to detail is exceptional. The oral hygienists are unbelievably good as well. Jessica (receptionist) is extremely pleasant and does her best to accommodate my work schedule each and every time I have an appointment. Michelle (billing) has worked so hard on taking care of the insurance part for us. The dental assistants are great as well.
