Unfortunately, what I got was not an elevated experience. We chose this hotel because it was newer, had amenities, and seemed elevated. At check in, we were told we are required to pay $30/day for an amenity fee. Okay got it, this place maybe has some elevated amenities. The key amenity we were looking forward to enjoying was the sauna. After changing and going down to the sauna the next day, we learned it was out of order, and was not going to be working for the rest of our stay. We spoke to the front desk to see what the hotel could do (cover the cost of using an off-site sauna, offer a partial refund, etc), but the front desk said all they could do was take a note for the manager. After not hearing from the manager the next day, we went back to the front desk to a different worker, and got the same response. "We can't do anything, all we can do is let the manager know". Days have gone by and I still have not heard from the manager, despite follow ups. The whole stay wasn't bad, but we were paying $110 per night over an equivalent Marriot property for amenities that were out of order, and in one case "out of stock".

Bridal party had to balance on the stairs for the ceremony. Truly a shame that about half the guests had to stand, had a limited or no view of the ceremony. The bathroom is also weird. Same bathroom for men and woman. Woman's stall had a full door but the men's had a salon style door that did not close and had no privacy. Not everyone is comfortable with that. I'd love to attend an outdoor ceremony, but the weather is unpredictable. It may be beneficial if there was a large white event tent that can be used for the rain and other outdoor events.

Also, there was no sign of a full bar on the premises, nor fountain soda or beer on tap. Bottles only. But, considering that Henry Hill Farm is new on the wedding scene, maybe they plan on making these upgrades at a later date. Apparently, they have multiple campgrounds with the same and/or very similar names. Best to use Wells address or find the Alpine Inn which is a few miles down the road. Otherwise, a very nice and clean campground. Staff has always been kind with giving directions and helping out. Kids and dogs have fun in the river! A bit far for me to travel from Westchester, but worth it when other campgrounds are booked.
