Our stay was great! We have an older lab and we had a first floor room, 2 beds. It was clean, spacious and convenient for our dog to be taken outside, through a side/back door. We sat in the hot tub/jacuzzi after dinner and the temp was perfect. They include the breakfast and that was good. My favorite part was the shower. Great water pressure and shower head that felt like a massage. On our way out we used the car wash next door to wash off the bugs from the long road trip. Highly recommend. read more

We stayed at the Inn while passing through on our way back to Arizona. We chose this hotel because they accepted cats. The hotel was nice and clean. We stayed at hotels that accept pets in the past that obviously did not use the extra charge for pets to clean the room. Our room was very clean and there was no sign of previous pets. The staff was very friendly, but we did have an issue with the charges, which eventually turned out okay. If we are ever back in this area we will certainly stay here again. read more

A welcome site at the end of a nice long day. There is easy parking all around the building so there's no bad spots. There are no elevators, so if stairs are an issue you'll need to ask for a first floor, However, we were on the second and got to have wonderful views both in the evening as we were coming in and in the morning as we were leaving. The pool is amazing and the hot tub was the perfect end for the night. The rooms were nice, the beds were comfortable and the showers were good and hot with good pressure. We stopped in on our road trip. They were very polite. The room smelled strong of chemicals and the a/c didn't cool (stayed at 74, even when put on 68) were my only two complaints. The beds were clean and cozy. They were family and pet friendly. We would probably have asked for a different room if we stayed another night. Parking was sufficient for pulling a uhaul trailer! The area was peaceful and quiet. There pricing was a little more expensive than our other two stops, but not terrible. If we had to, we would stay here again. read more

From the time we checked in to the time we checked out we were taken care of! The staff working here are wonderful. The property and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. They are pet friendly for well behaved dogs. Our two dogs were very happy. They have a potty area with bags and a disposal area. We will definitely be returning on our next road trip! read more

It was absolutely freezing when we got here but the room heater eventually kicked in . Sooooo noisy all night! The bathroom was freezing as room heater never made it there ! Old but sufficient room . Super cute and comfy little spot. We got stuck in Monticello because of the winter storm. Staff was great! I thought breakfast ended at 10 and we came out of the room at 9:15 when it ends at 9. Came to visit arches national park from NY- Is a little drive from Moab but what isn't a little drive in this area in Utah:) - great and super friendly staff- very clean rooms and extremely helpful with questions- safety is priority for me...Hotel is safe and no noise for a good night rest after a long day is sightseeing. Hotel is perfect if visiting Canyonlands National Park- with a 15 minute drive BUT that's the entrance from the main road "NOT park entrance". Park entrance is another is 34 miles regardless of coming from Moab or Monticello from the main road- I would stay here again. Pool is vet clean also. read more

Great location, wonderfully comfortable rooms! We decided to stay here because it was centrally located in an area where we could do day trips to all directions and visit national parks or monuments on our lists. I did not expect much when I reserved the room, but was wonderfully surprised when we got there. The facilities are well taken care of. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the staff very friendly. During our stay there we visited Mesa Verde, Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, and Hovenweep National Monument. The breakfast was included. Although it was basic breakfast, it did the job for us. On one occasion we went across the street to The Peace Tree Juice Cafe that serve a much more filling breakfast. They also have an indoor pool that will come in very handy during the warmer days of summer. All in all it was a great stay. read more

This was expensive and didn't live up to the expense. My husband said it felt like we were all paying for their Hummer outside. It did feel like that. I like the location a lot though, mostly because it's across from the Peace Tree cafe which is amazing. The lady at the front desk was so chatty and friendly with the guest ahead of us I though she was going to be super personable but she was bitchy and unhelpful for us. It was insane what a difference - apparently the guy in front of us had being in the navy in common with her. I guess we should have made something up about it! I wouldn't want to stay there again but there are not many options in Monticello! All the reviews were so dead on about hearing the maids talk in the halls, and they were waiting by the morning breakfast for people to be done so they could put it all away which gave an unfriendly and rushed feeling. They also weren't friendly anyway and I had to say good morning to them - but they were all speaking Spanish to one another. The walls are all very thing so we could hear everything from surrounding rooms. The pool didn't seem inviting with its signs on the door and glary eyeballs from the front desk women. Ugh. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and they have a really nice pool. The surrounding area is picturesque. I recommend eating at the Peace Tree Cafe which is right across the street. This is tough to review since we checked in at 9pm, fell asleep and then checked out at 9am. Having been in Arches and Canyonlands all day, we just wanted to lay our heads down. This hotel did the job. They advertised a newly remodeled hotel. I can tell you it was clean, well lit, open and safe. The indoor pool looked clean and was busy when we checked in. The lobby is large and well decorated. The issue that I had was it is a two story hotel with no elevator. Not that we cared but we found it odd for those with disabilities who made not have been prepared. read more

I can appreciate a clean room and freindly staff. We stayed here after a long night of driving and needed a comfy bed to sleep in. Inn at the Canyons provided that. The room is basic with not many ameneties. We paid $79.00 for a double. For the price, I would have likded to see more ameneties. Some of the rooms are getting renovated so the room smelt like paint and there was stuff in the hallway. Nothing to distracting and not enough to complain about. The continental breakfast is standard. They have a nice indoor pool and hottub. Hopefully the renovations will include a microwave, coffee pot, and/or mini fridge. I would stay again. read more

We were planning to visit Natural Bridges the next morning and decided to avoid staying at Moab (hotel s are limited and very pricey). Inn by the Canyons was good enough for our 1 night stay, bed is comfy, room is clean. Breakfast has limited choices. Wonderful. The staff was more than friendly and actually interacted with their guests. The location was perfect considering we were from out of state and didn't know the area. We were venturing through Dead Horse Point, Arches, Canyonlands and heading to Four Corners Monument so it was extremely convenient for us to stay here. You'll regret staying anywhere else. I suggest you book in advanced if you plan on coming spring-fall! The inn provides a full breakfast, complimentary WiFi, and an indoor pool. Our room included a microwave, mini fridge, and a plasma TV. The beds were comfortable, and the room was good sized and cozy at the same time. Stayed here in March 2012 when visiting Canyonlands park. The accommodation are excellent for the price (around $65 for a king sized bed). There is a large indoor pool and sauna and breakfast is included! Julia, one of the nicest hotel receptionists we've ever met, even offered us some of her own pizza when we arrived too late to order food from anywhere else. This place is truly fantastic but gets only 4 stars because we wished it had been pet friendly. read more

This efficient hotel is your best bet in Monticello! We have stayed at a couple of the others in town, and Inn at the Canyon is far superior to the rest of your options. Our most recent stay was on April 9, 2013. We were glad to see that they had recently renovated the indoor swimming pool & spa, as well as all of the rooms! We happened to be checking in to the hotel while the owner Jarod was there, and we had an opportunity to talk with him about his hotel. It is nice to find an owner that is present, and fully committed to making his hotel an enjoyable stay for all! The continental breakfast, along with the renovated rooms (and new beds!) were a plus, but the price and the great staff make this a hidden gem among the stones of the canyon! read more

I try to be positive on yelp but the management team at this hotel is NOT business friendly. We had a small family emergency which caused us to cancel our reservation. We called the night before at 7pm. After several calls they said that they had to charge us anyway. The owner was hardcore on this. I personally thought we called in plenty of time but sometimes bad management gets in the way good business. Besides we have stayed here before and the room was very below average. read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Our room was clean and they are pet friendly which was a huge plus for our pooch. We stayed for one night. The microwave in our room was broken but the mini fridge worked just fine. The complimentary breakfast did not look very appetizing so we ate at the Peace Tree Cafe across the street which was great. We paid $140 (Memorial Day weekend) for the room and for the price I was hoping for a better breakfast and working amenities. The petrified wood log at the front is pretty sweet though. Our beds were very comfortable and the room clean. The indoor swimming pool and hot tub were a nice way for the family to unwind after a day of hiking. This property has recently been purchased by an ambitious young couple who are revamping this former Days Inn considerably. It is one of the closest stays to the famous Indian Creek climbing area and is out of the Moab rush and crowd. Look for Inn at the Canyons to soon be known as the best place to stay in Monticello. read more

June 8, 2018. So maybe I caught the receptionist on an off day. Not the best check in experience after a long day on the road. Those first experiences can make or break the overall impression. The place was essentially empty on arrival. Did not get a chance to use the pool so cannot comment in that regard. Can say the local dining opportunities are slim and none. This is a desert for a decent restaurant. I have also reviewed the restaurant across the street, Peace Tree. The room was absolutely trying to be average and not making it. One of my pet peeves is a shower that won't drain properly. Yea, guess what. No need to stay here if you are expecting any type of a view from the window. That is not the fault of the hotel. This is a pre packaged utilitarian hotel with nothing to offer to set it apart or make it memorial as a place to come back to. Screaming kids running up and down the hall at night was not a plus and not the fault of the hotel. On the single upside, although nothing unique, the complimentary breakfast had good coffee and a few selections to start the day. At least I did not go away hungry. Two stars, because that is what almost average is worth and the cost of the room is way too expensive in relation to what you get. read more

This hotel was excellent after spending a terrible night in Cortez, CO. We had a very nice room that overlooked the mountain and a large field where we had deer as nightly visitors. The room was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was great! After spending three nights here, highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting all the wonderful nights in Southern Utah. read more
