Terrible! This place is a dump. It's sad, small and is poorly maintained. My room was unsafe due to unsecured fencing, poor lighting, loud noises, an uncomfortable bed, dirty bedlinens and towels, bad water pressure and a lot of wildlife. During my stay I had several flee bites, mosquito bites and bedbug bites and I also developed an eye infection possibly due to the dirty towels. I needed to checkout two days early on. A five night stay. My room also had several safety and building code violations, including unlicensed construction, plumbing and electrical; unfinished tile work in the bathroom has. Whole in the tile and also a lack of safety bars to prevent slip and falls. A big sling in the middle of the room, makes a small room harder to use-it is hard to avoid always bumping into it, creating a fire hazard. In addition - it is poorly attached and may not have the ability to safely support a man with an average weight. Room is in terrible condition- with two lightbulbs missing and a tv that did not work. The remaining light bulbs in the room were fluorescent bulbs, which hurt the eyes. The air conditioner runs cold 24/7, and is installed using electrical tape to keep it in place. The location of the Inn Leather is isolated - and the only food options are unhealthy fast food outlets - within walking distance. Had to wait until evening for my room to be ready- while other rooms sat vacant. Because of the bug bites all over my body - I had to check out early- only staying three of a planned six night stay. Upon checkout, Doug the manager emailed me a fake receipt that does not match the receipt confirmation I had received from Expedia and does not match my credit card statement. There are much better guest houses in the Fort Lauderdale area that are cleaner and in better condition.

Was there last night 1-24-2021.. Well it was interesting a lot of meth users... Had my car parked behind a Ford blue older pick up truck. Ford F-150 ... The spot was designated to the guest I was visiting. Well he hit my car .. He took out the Parking bumper.. He Never left a note (shocker) and he threw plastic cones onto my car .. The place Has No Parking for geust .The area it's located in is not so nice ! No employee on hand at night for issues that might occur.. (especially if the gust are high and is using drugs) I am sure the man that hit my car was high on meth and was not in the right state of mind to be driving .. This place seems to be a place for that .. All I can say is if you like shady places this is ONE . If you go take a Uber ... Disappointed would definitely NOT GO BACK !

I love this place, for what it is. Not for everyone admittedly but it has a charm. Had some wonderful times here.

Needless to say, I had to cancel my trip. I received credit from the airline and car rental for the trip. However, I did not receive anything from the hotel. I lost 50% of my stay, over $500. Keep in mind, May is shoulder season and the hotel was not full. I totally understand having a 50% cancelation policy in the height of the season, but 50% in May? Unreasonable and greedy! Please read the cancellation policies at these small hotels. I will likely book at a Marriott next time!!! To be fair, they did give me 90 days to use the deposit money, but when traveling out of state, it was difficult to plan another trip.

Her description of how nice the place was did it no justice at all. I absolutely loved the cozy feel of the place. The room was extremely immaculate. Floor so clean I could see my reflection!! The room we got had a full kitchen and a dining room table. The pool stayed open at night and because its just a small complex no one else was out on the first night and we were able to enjoy the beautifully lit pool and jacuzzi in the Florida night air alone. Towels were readily available along w/ sunscreen if we needed it. The next night I met Jay and Wayne out at the pool. They own and operate the guesthouse. I LOVE GREAT customer service and usually you can't even have a conversation with the owners. The day we checked out we weren't hounded about the time. It was storming terribly but most places wouldn't have cared they just want you out at check out. LOL. **Oh yeah and I forgot to mention that the property has a gate around it giving it a feel of safety, security and coziness. WE will definitely be back there and you should go too!! :)

Lauderdale in connection with a Panama Canal cruise including our stay at The Blue House. Despite being shut down by the city and state, they kept our full payment, offering a credit to use at a future date. As we can hopefully now see an end to the pandemic, we booked the very first replacement cruise opportunity which departs in January 2022. I then tried to book the new dates at The Blue House but was told my credit expires 28 days before our trip and there was nothing they could do about it. Apparently, the "owners" felt they were being overly generous and burdened in carrying credits during the pandemic and now that travel is opening up again, credits must be used immediately or lost. I imagine this might be a great place to stay under normal circumstances, however, I feel their Covid credit policy to be extremely unreasonable and will have to accept the loss and find other accommodations.

No more happy hour by the pool on Friday and Saturday afternoons. Parking is no longer free. They also added a Resort charge. For a time they had seven day a week nice hot breakfast. Now it's allegedly three days a week but they frequently don't even have eggs because they say they're out. Management doesn't seem to care and doesn't respond to emails or comments. The place is not a good value. The rooms are not even mid priced chain hotel quality, so they need to make up for it in other ways. It's a shame because with some effort it could be a lot better. They have been doing a lot of work on the buildings which is to their credit. and the pools and hot tubs seem much cleaner. But there's more to a hotel than just having a new paint job and key card locks. They need to make the guest feel more appreciated.

This came in handy as it was during spring break and all of the restaurants were packed. There is a grocery store and liqour stores close by as well, not walking distance. *The property and rooms were beautifully maintained ( except a little rust on the refridgerator and a small crack in the table - just my disclaimer) . * The suanas and pools were plentiful and super nice. * The staff were outstanding, everyone of them went out of their way to help us. * Parking on site ( however you have to pay for it ) * Location: close to beach ( walking close) and Uber is easy to get , very safe and clean area * The guests that stayed there were also very friendly and welcoming. * People do cruise Dislikes: * I did not like having to pay for parking when we already paid $1700.00 for a 4 night stay. * The small cafe served Eggs and Bacon on Saturday, but ran out of food by Sunday and did not replenish it until Wednesday ( again paid a lot to stay, could have driven to Publixs and bought food if delivery driver was late 3 days) * They have a small bar set up, but the prices they charge for a drink are very high $11.00 , when at The Gaythering in Miami Beach they are $4 and 8$ depending on happy hour or after. I actually would have bought more drinks at the bar if and not went to the store to stock my room if they were a little cheaper. * It is very busy on the weekends and after noon on Sunday it feels very slow throughout the week. Maybe the prices keep people away. Overall: The Worthington/Grand is a very nice place, most of the people that stay there are mature, polite, and very open minded. That being said it is appeared to be an older crowd for most of the week, except the weekend was a good mix. The staff could not be matched anywhere, the upkeep was on point, and the city is wonderful, yet busy. I would like to see prices come down a little bit as I would come more often, but I will return. Plan on relaxing a lot during the week days as little goes on at the resort.
