Super zen owners and property. Every suite faces the lovely pool and tropical garden. Seriously…read moresame plants as in Jamaica but the geckos have curly tails here! Yummy options for breakfast, something for every gnosher. Property offers very clean accommodations, locked gate, office call, with easy check in and check out. Awesome shower pressure, comfortable high bed, quiet AC, ceiling fan. Lots of shared kindness, little things like bug spray, quiet hours, pleasant chat and quick cleaning. Idk who Chuck is in the other reviews but Russell is direct, efficient and amazing. Definitely recommend.

I live in Ft. Lauderdale but we were just looking for a weekend getaway, a staycation if you will…read more :) I work late so my friend went there early and viewed the property and checked in. Her description of how nice the place was did it no justice at all. I absolutely loved the cozy feel of the place. The room was extremely immaculate. Floor so clean I could see my reflection!! The room we got had a full kitchen and a dining room table. The pool stayed open at night and because its just a small complex no one else was out on the first night and we were able to enjoy the beautifully lit pool and jacuzzi in the Florida night air alone. Towels were readily available along w/ sunscreen if we needed it. The next night I met Jay and Wayne out at the pool. They own and operate the guesthouse. I LOVE GREAT customer service and usually you can't even have a conversation with the owners. The day we checked out we weren't hounded about the time. It was storming terribly but most places wouldn't have cared they just want you out at check out. LOL. **Oh yeah and I forgot to mention that the property has a gate around it giving it a feel of safety, security and coziness. WE will definitely be back there and you should go too!! :)

Shower water only stays hot for 5 minutes 3. Coffee is disgusting 4. Door to room is difficult to open & close 5. Our bathroom door did not close all the way let alone lock 6. No iron in room at arrival and the ironing board was stained. 7. Landscaping needs attention 8. Check out is 11:00 am. Late check outs are an additional $15 an hour....no thank you! 9. Room was never attended to. Towels were never replaced in a four day period. For the prices we were charged we expected much better. We will consider other resorts in the vicinity on our next trip to this area.

Last year I booked a trip to the Fort Lauderdale and was scheduled to go in early May…read more Unfortunately, my elderly Mother landed in the hospital with acute kidney failure. Needless to say, I had to cancel my trip. I received credit from the airline and car rental for the trip. However, I did not receive anything from the hotel. I lost 50% of my stay, over $500. Keep in mind, May is shoulder season and the hotel was not full. I totally understand having a 50% cancelation policy in the height of the season, but 50% in May? Unreasonable and greedy! Please read the cancellation policies at these small hotels. I will likely book at a Marriott next time!!! To be fair, they did give me 90 days to use the deposit money, but when traveling out of state, it was difficult to plan another trip.

Things have somewhat gone downhill under the new management. It seems like they want to take away…read moreeverything that might add to guest enjoyment, while adding all kinds of extra hidden charges. No more happy hour by the pool on Friday and Saturday afternoons. Parking is no longer free. They also added a Resort charge. For a time they had seven day a week nice hot breakfast. Now it's allegedly three days a week but they frequently don't even have eggs because they say they're out. Management doesn't seem to care and doesn't respond to emails or comments. The place is not a good value. The rooms are not even mid priced chain hotel quality, so they need to make up for it in other ways. It's a shame because with some effort it could be a lot better. They have been doing a lot of work on the buildings which is to their credit. and the pools and hot tubs seem much cleaner. But there's more to a hotel than just having a new paint job and key card locks. They need to make the guest feel more appreciated.

I stayed in room V18 from Saturday March 15 to Wednesday March 19th. Went for vacation…read more Likes: *Room has a full kitchen ( less an oven, but does have a convection oven). This came in handy as it was during spring break and all of the restaurants were packed. There is a grocery store and liqour stores close by as well, not walking distance. *The property and rooms were beautifully maintained ( except a little rust on the refridgerator and a small crack in the table - just my disclaimer) . * The suanas and pools were plentiful and super nice. * The staff were outstanding, everyone of them went out of their way to help us. * Parking on site ( however you have to pay for it ) * Location: close to beach ( walking close) and Uber is easy to get , very safe and clean area * The guests that stayed there were also very friendly and welcoming. * People do cruise Dislikes: * I did not like having to pay for parking when we already paid $1700.00 for a 4 night stay. * The small cafe served Eggs and Bacon on Saturday, but ran out of food by Sunday and did not replenish it until Wednesday ( again paid a lot to stay, could have driven to Publixs and bought food if delivery driver was late 3 days) * They have a small bar set up, but the prices they charge for a drink are very high $11.00 , when at The Gaythering in Miami Beach they are $4 and 8$ depending on happy hour or after. I actually would have bought more drinks at the bar if and not went to the store to stock my room if they were a little cheaper. * It is very busy on the weekends and after noon on Sunday it feels very slow throughout the week. Maybe the prices keep people away. Overall: The Worthington/Grand is a very nice place, most of the people that stay there are mature, polite, and very open minded. That being said it is appeared to be an older crowd for most of the week, except the weekend was a good mix. The staff could not be matched anywhere, the upkeep was on point, and the city is wonderful, yet busy. I would like to see prices come down a little bit as I would come more often, but I will return. Plan on relaxing a lot during the week days as little goes on at the resort.

Bed frame collapsed at 2am, removed broken frame and slept on floor. Called at 6am emergency number, said "we will get back to you". Never happened, I called again, the solution was to move me to another room. New room still same towel bars pulled from wall, air conditioning leaked all night and river of water was on floor.
