Notes: Bring your own hair dryer and bath toiletries. They are not provided. If you're a light sleeper or late sleeper, you'll hear the early morning prep from the coffee shop downstairs. The building is circa late 19th or early 20th century - - not sound proof. Consider part of the historic charm. We did. Sundays aren't an issue the coffee shop is closed.

Tecumseh absolutely charmed us, and part of the charm lay in this very nice little place (and I mean little, one apt. only available, while we were there) above the local coffee shop, owned by the same people as the coffee shop. So, locally owned, and getting in touch to book rooms has you calling the coffee shop, so don't be confused! Anyway, the price was very reasonable, and the loft was quaint, an efficiency apt with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Clean and comfortable, located on the main street and up a flight of stairs (they have one other place, a larger apt. with several bedrooms). We walked to dinner at Evans Street Station, and to the little shops up and down the strip during the afternoon. Tecumseh's quiet--if you want clubs, bars and a roulette wheel, this is not the spot for you--but if you're into the small town, quiet-getaway- experience, I highly recommend this inn. The breakfast is a $10 gift card for the full service coffee shop downstairs, which for two people can be tight, but you can use it the day before, and put your bagels and coffee in the apt. fridge, which is what we did (see caveat), or you can use the morning of, if they're open (Caveat: the coffee shop wasn't open on the Sunday we were there, and may not be open on Sundays period. Pick out breakfast foods in advance for Saturday night stays).

We had the most beautiful June 2026 wedding at The Stacy Mansion. We rented the entire property &…read moreall the rooms from June 19 -June 21. Everything was absolutely perfect. From our initial contact & consultations to the day after the Stacy Sisters listened & implemented our vision with love & kindness throughout. It was seamless. Our guests couldn't stop gushing over the gorgeous grounds, the beautiful mansion tours & all the special details that Kim, Serena and Danielle helped to implement. We wouldn't get married anywhere else! Oh, & it was their first large outdoor wedding! Now, here are all the details: We toured the Stacy Mansion & we knew right then that we want to be married in this beautiful space. The Stacy Sisters (Kim, Serena & Danielle) will tell you that the house itself brings all the magic, but we know differently. Each one of these beautiful ladies brings so much thoughtfulness, joy & love into the space that you can't help but feel like you're at home. The gardens are stunning, the wedding arch, beautiful & the mansion itself is truly breathtaking. We had about 10 months to create our vision. Serena listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions & took notes. We met up a few times, & she had taken such care & good notes that by the Friday before the wedding she pretty much knew everything that needed to be done & what our esthetic was. I had complete trust in her, Kim & Danielle to bring it to life. I was so thankful that I didn't need to answer tons of questions of Friday or Saturday. They literally just put everything into place. My mother & father-in-law needed a place for Thursday night and they happily accommodated them. As returning guests, they were welcomed with hugs, love, inside jokes & of course not even having to touch their luggage. The rest of our wedding party arrived throughout Friday & again, the Sisters welcomed them with open arms. Grabbing luggage, escorting everyone to their rooms & highlighting the mansion's interior. When wedding guests arrived Saturday, they were greeted warmly with care. Danielle just so happens to be an officiant in the state of Michigan! The Sisters lead the rehearsal in a quick and efficient manner just as I wanted. Afterwards, we grilled outside & enjoyed a lovely picnic dinner. We used the firepit, chatted & caught up with our closest friends & family. A beautiful night to remember. Then it was cookie service time, a Stacy Mansion tradition that can't be beat right before bed. Wedding Day - Saturday I had asked for a simple breakfast bar rather than the traditional sit-down formal breakfasts they are known for because I knew we had lots of moving parts happening with getting ready & picking up last minute items. Well, it was far from simple! A homemade buffet style breakfast bar was waiting for us with muffins & breakfast casseroles that were so delicious. Before & after breakfast the Stacy Sisters were already setting up chairs for the ceremony, tablecloths, placing centerpieces, arranging flowers & the welcome table & every other little thing that a wedding needs done. Again, I wasn't bombarded with a ton of questions, they already knew & had all my trust. They had already coordinated with our cater, musician & everything was in place for a seamless day. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful; we trusted Danielle to write it & chose to hear her words for the first time with everyone else. The guests laughed & cried tears of joy alongside of us and the magic had just begun. They brought out & set up our appetizers for cocktail hour; they ran mansion tours for our guests. I literally worried about nothing. Our perfect day felt like it just came together naturally, but the truth is Serena, Kim & Danielle worked their tails off for us & made it look effortless. They are the magic makers! Many of our guests complimented us that this was the best wedding that they had been too! Effortless & fun with yard games, strolling dinner & dessert & music & laughter throughout the property. Sunday Morning: Clean-up & Departures Sunday morning, we started with a planned late breakfast at 10am. This one was the full sit-down, home cooked 2 course meal. Coffee, juice, tea and mimosas alongside fruit bakes and parfaits, and delightful egg creations and breakfast meats and potatoes. I was so stuffed. The sisters then started cleaning up and helping us move all our things up to the parking area to stage our exit. With our friends and family, we had all checked out and had everything cleaned and home by noonish. It was incredible. If you are looking for truly wonderful humans, magic, thoughtfulness and beauty at a really affordable price, get married at The Stacy Mansion. Rent the entire place for the whole weekend and relax while the magic happens before your eyes. The magic makers again, are Danielle, Serena and Kim. It was the best day and weekend of my life. I can't thank them enough.

This place has true character that you can tell they have put their heart and soul into with taste and class saving this building from dereliction and destruction. This is definitely NOT a bored housewife weekend warrior type of B&B who has filled this place with a mismatch of unfitting antiques and Pier One chotchke. Having had to travel for a good part of my career I have stayed in many B& B's. This place will stay in my top 10 for sure and definitely hope to make the pilgrimage at least once a year. The hostess and her husband are amazing people and in the conversations had you can tell they are very genuine and have a love for the place. I can only hope that their children take up the same affection and continue on. It would be a definite loss for Jonesville and anyone who is not experienced it.
