Idk about you but if I'm temporarily living somewhere I don't want it to be where the workers are rude and can't do their job properly and I NEVER complain this is actually the first time I've ever even left a review but with how important it is to get a spot due to my boyfriends job this lady sent me over the edge. Called to put our name on the waiting list by a younger lady she told us to call in 5 days (also a Monday) due to a group of construction workers possibly leaving. Called Monday and an older RUDE lady picked up claiming she couldn't find the name and couldn't talk to the other women that got our info. She said she could put our name on the list now and I asked how many people have been put on the list in the last five days and she said about seven so I said that completely screws us and she said do you want me to put your name on the list or not very rude nonhelpful and she hung up on me. so my boyfriend called right after me and then she was able to find her name on the list Even though I gave my first name and last name his first name and last name and she was just so rude to me. Good thing we found covered wagon a lot cheaper just as nice and the people are very sweet and helpful. read more

This is an absolute gem of an RV spot. The camp hosts were awesome and good people. Downtown Monroe is close and a sweet little town. We were there during rain and cold and we loved being there. The neighbors were nice and there were only a few run-down RVs. The spring and summer would be great and I hope to come back. The owner recently passed so they are doing their best. This place is good for some energy recharging on some water. Someone wrote a review about prejudice back in 2018... This is the least discriminatory place you will find with many ¨God loving and generous folks¨ just waiting to say hi and give you a wave. People also kindly mind their own business yet still acknowledge that you are human. read more

Great park. It's got a lot of potential. It could be better maintained but overall we where very happy and felt safe here. The full timers are friendly and helpful. The overall park is pretty clean with a few run down full timer sites. Great stream through most of the camp sites that kids kayak on daily. Lots of family's and kids at play which brightens the place up. Enough room that you don't feel cramped. About 15min to grocery stores and Walmart/Meijers. 40min from city and 20min from airport. read more

Our short stay was ok from the start, but because of there poor business practices of not allowing paying customers come first rather than kicking us to the curb. We feel this park is not a great one and they lie about talkibg wich us on our prior reservatiobs ob the phone 2-3 months in advance. Fantastic!!!!! It's open year round, which is awesome because no one really is, which is understandable due to the decrease in occupancy, but frustrating because my sister lives up here and we need a place to stay. Upon check in at 9pm, the owner was extremely polite and told us to call day or night if we had any problems! AWESOME customer service! My husband and I both work in the customer service industry, so we know what to look for, this place has it! We found our home away from home when we come to visit my sister. :) They also have AWESOME and totally FREE WiFi. :) We don't have to worry about it being kid-friendly, nut it's VERY pet friendly without extra fees because our kids have 4 legs. :) read more

I have been here a month now. If you are looking for a kid friendly place requiring playgrounds and cement pools... this is not the place...stop reading. Kid friendly, but you provide the activities. There is a really nice swimming hole and a trail around the property to walk in a quiet moment. Management enforces a strict speed limit so there is no golf cart racing going on. If you enjoy quiet areas with ducks, geese, places to row, paddle, walk, and catch-and-release fishing ... Camp Lord Willing is the perfect gateway to Michigan. I find the longer term campers and overnighters friendly, but you do have to reach out and introduce yourself. Otherwise, they (we) will respect your privacy. Not too many scheduled activities so you have to create your own by being friendly to the neighbors. Every night there is some site with the lights on and stories being swapped. VERY close to Walmart, Lowes, Meijer's, Malls, tons of restaurants...and only a few miles to Lake Erie. Close to Toledo and Detroit... rural. If you can't find an activity that attracts your attention you are not looking. Knock on my door. It's the one sporting the University of Michigan Banner. //R read more

I wanted to take my children to River Raisin National Battlefield over the four-day Thanksgiving weekend. We're Jr. Ranger badge-o-holics, and it was a part of the state we'd never explored. And if we camp, we can afford a quickie little adventure trip. November isn't terrible for camping, right? Shouldn't have been. But we had a less than desirable experience with this place, and I would NOT recommend this campground to anyone. Ever. First, we called to make reservations and the woman was distracted (having other conversation at the same time) while not hearing what I was saying to her. I told her that I wanted just a standard, electric-only campsite for two nights Thanksgiving weekend. She said she had no idea if they had any openings (?!? Isn't that her job?) and would call me back "in a little bit". Hours later, she called me back and said they 'had something for us'. Little did we know, her 'something' was a full-hook-up site - they don't tell you, they just say they'll give you what you get when you get there. I thought that meant a site within the parameters you give them for price-range. Apparently not, but I didn't know it at that time. I was trusting that with a name like "Lord Willing" they'd be upright about it. Next problem was that I have five children. The website says two adults, four children, and extra persons are $8/night. I was *hoping* that it being Thanksgiving, they'd show kindness/charity waive my last child, but the woman on the phone didn't. Well... we needed the site, so I agreed, anyhow. We got there at five (they close at six), and the couple there wanted OUT of that office early, and were rushing us through the check-in like it was a marathon. She noticed the extra child on my paperwork, and said, "They didn't waive that for you?" (No.) She considered it for a split second, but then said, 'Well, it's already in the system.' :/ Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. Our total seemed high, but she was shoving the paperwork at us, and pushing us out the door, and we were already across the state, so we took it and went... to a full hook-up site. NOT what we asked for - no wonder it was so much more expensive! We have no need for septic, water, or propane...! I was angry, but the office was now closed. It gets worse. On the campground information sheets? Extra children are $3 (not $8, like the website says, and like they charged me). Isn't that nice, what they did, there? My husband talked me down from going postal and said, "It's still better than a night in a hotel." Ha. Hahaha. No, it wasn't. They don't tell you that it's along a train track, and that there are trains running all night long. The horns are nearly constant - there were 23 blasts, the one time I bothered to count. We got NO sleep the first night, slept thru half of it the second night out of sheer exhaustion. And where the trains leave off? The ducks take up. Did I mention they have man-dug 'rivers' along the campsites, filled with ducks that apparently serenade with incessant honking? Half of the people who camp here *LIVE* here, from what I can tell. Gives new meaning to "trailer park". The other half are seasonals that store their trailers all winter and camp all summer. In case anyone wondered about the four/five-star reviews. If it's winter, go to a hotel. If it's spring/summer, go to Sterling State Park. Just don't go here. Because "Lord Willing" is apparently short for "Lord Willing, we can pull a few over and make a few extra." It wasn't a good experience for us. read more

This is an over rated Good Sam campground. Had to make several phone calls to finalize reservation. Called first time at 9:30 AM - office was not open. Called at 10:45 AM and was told computer wasn't up and couldn't make a reservation. Called back in half an hour and had to wait several minutes while employee took care of walk in customer and put me on hold to take care of someone who called after I did. Was asked for more information than I have ever had to provide a campground from license number, Good Sam membership number to year & make of our coach. Also made copy of husband's driver's license when we checked in. Used laundromat and lost money because didn't understand confusing instructions. When I complained to office, gal laughed and said we have all done that. No refund was offered. Husband called to complain and was told it was my fault and campground was not responsible. Couple of hours later got a phone message that the campground would refund money but again office hours didn't make that possible. Left as an unhappy camper who will not return. read more
