My husband and I had a great time staying here. We stayed in one of the little cottages that only adults can stay in and loved it. It's right on a private portion of the beach. The cottage was very clean. It's also close to a Main Street that has little shops and some restaurants but not far from other places in town. Not sure where to even begin. This place was exactly what my husband and I were looking for for our 10 year wedding anniversary get away. We spent the week here in the Beach House and it was paradise. Our own patio, steps onto the beach with a breathtaking view was just what the doctor ordered. We were greeted warmly and brought to our room upon arrival and were on the beach lounging within minutes. The owner, Peter, was always around working on something! It is super clear he loves what he does and cares deeply about his guests. He gave us some great recommendations for eateries (devils purse brewery being my favorite!) and always was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. Each morning from 8-10 they serve a nice continental breakfast. My husband and I were go each morning, eat and then take a nice long walk on the beach with our coffee. The private beach already has chairs and umbrellas so no need to bring your own, they set them up each morning and take them down each evening. The inn is also within walking distance to many great shops/restaurants. We went to many of them! The kite shop was super cool and we were able to grab souvenirs for the littles back home. After dinner, come back to the inn for a fire on the patio! I very much hope to return here. I am so thankful we found this and splurged for the beach house room! This is our third year staying at Inn on the Beach. The owners are so wonderful and accomodating your every need. They are just a text away if you need anything. They greeted us every day and spent time chatting about the Cape and their Inn. We met so many lovely people from all over the US and beyond. The morning Continental Breakfast and the evenings by the firepits made it so easy to make new friends. Each day we looked forward to the great coffee and breakfast items. There was adequate seating indoors and out for just relaxing and enjoying the views of the ocean, sunsets, and waves. They setup chairs and umbrellas on the beach early so everything was ready for us to use. Towels were readily available. The downstairs area provided hot beverages you could make as you desired and we even used the microwave to reheat pizza and sandwiches. The rooms were very clean and spacious and provided a large walk in shower, hair dryer, and plenty of towels. We fit a large number of cold beverages in the mini fridge which was so convenient when you wanted something at the beach area. There was always plenty of ice and easily accessible to us. Parking was close and easy. The Inn is close to downtown Harwich so we took several walks into town to shop, grab pizza, coffees, or just walk the beautiful side streets. There are plenty of great seafood restaurants nearby and we were only 25 minutes from Chatham. Very central to have many things to do. We love this place so much we will definitely return! read more

It's incredibly hard finding a place on Cape Cod. Barely anything is listed and reviews are scarce. Booking an old dirty place is easy to do. I decided to stay at The Inn on the Beach on a whim, and boy did I luck out. The hotel is incredibly clean and modern - two things rare to find on Cape Cod. That enough is a win in my book, but the beautiful facilities and super friendly staff made it a great stay. You needed something, and the Inn on the Beach staff was there wearing masks. They do have a private beach with chairs, but the public beach next door was a nice treat for my young daughter to find kids to play with. They also have a beautiful deck with couches and gas firepits. Harwich is a great spot too with tons of restaurants with outdoor seating and cute stores downtown. Dennis and Chatham are just a few minutes away. We will stay here again! read more

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days in July. The price was great considering the beachfront property. The customer service was also incredible. We did not go without anything. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly including the owner himself. We loved the location. It is right in the middle of the cape so we weren't far from Hyannis to go to a concert at the Cape Cod Melody tent. The Inn is also located really close to the town which has restaurants bars and shops. You can walk into town it's very close but there's not a sidewalk so we didn't feel safe on the Main Street. The one negative is that the town closes very early . You can't get dinner past eight or nine. Most places closed very early which was disappointing to us. We love the outdoor patio and the fire pit tables. It was also a nice touch to have lawn chairs on the beach dedicated to the guests. The room was extremely small. My husband and I could not walk around each other. One of us had to sit on the bed to get around each other. It's that small! However it doesn't matter because the location was incredible and we didn't care about the room size because we were there for the location. The room was clean and we had everything that we needed. The beach is very calm almost more like a lake with no waves. The weather was still pretty chilly even mid-july. Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch but it was very basic. My husband and I ended up going out to breakfast each morning instead of having the mostly continental breakfast there. But again it doesn't matter it was still worth the price the location was incredible the service was great! The place is absolutely beautiful. You can tell that the owners really care about the end and take excellent care of the property. We would stay here again should we find ourselves visiting the cape. read more

What a beautiful and quaint inn right on Harwich Beach in Cape Cod. We came here for a wedding and the manager, Stephanie could not have been more accommodating. She welcomed us with open arms and made sure our whole stay was up to our liking. I'm so glad our friends got room blocks for the whole inn and we got to spend the wedding weekend with friends on a beautiful beach. The weather was a bit chilly, but it did not stop us from sitting on the beach. They have complimentary chairs to sit on and a breakfast that is just superb! They rotated between a homemade frittata and a French toast bake. It was walking distance to the main block and not too far of a drive from the other main beaches and towns. She showed us around the Inn and explained everything to use about the continental breakfast and the fire pits, the deck area and the beach. This is a nice, clean, well kept place, and the staff were particularly helpful and friendly during what we all understand are crazy and very awkward times. The unit we stayed in (#11) was very nice, relatively private, and cozy inside. The private patio in the back is a plus. Full access to typically nice "Cape Cod" beach that is not subject noticeably to the tides makes relaxing in the sun, swimming, and just walking the shoreline very enjoyable. I will look up the Inn On The Beach for a stay next year -- presumably not in Covid-crazy times -- and hope to be able to experience it all at its fullest and most relaxed. As it was, it was a pleasant two-night stay and I highly recommend it. read more

Just completed a 4 night stay which was near the venue for our daughters wedding nearby. Our first time here and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Stephanie and staff were great. The rooms were small but very clean and fit the purpose for a beach vacation. The grounds and location are why you would stay in addition to great staff. Deck with comfy chairs and a few fire pits plus chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Continental breakfast great if you want something lite. Muffins my favorite. This spot has amazing potential with their location but is way over priced! Stayed for 2 nights off season and cost more than staying in downtown LA or Boston! Bed was painfully uncomfortable and linens were cheap and stiff. Shower was rusted and cheap looking. Lock on door didn't work and lights at night were blinding making sleep even more difficult. We love the spot but will stay elsewhere next time! read more

This is our second straight year staying at the Inn on the Beach. Room is comfortable and a hop/skip to the beach. Breakfast room overlooks the beach making a great start to the day. I highly recommend this hotel. It is right on the ocean with your own private patio with each unit. The staff especially Stephanie were incredible and friendly and whatever you needed they took care of. There is a continental breakfast that is in a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean. This Inn is under new management and is now Inn on the Beach. My husband and I have nothing but nice things to say about this inn. The price was reasonable, and the private beach was even nicer than the pictures on their website (www.innonthebeachcapecod.com) suggest. The rooms are modest, but clean (and a great deal for the price). What we most appreciated was how nice everyone was. The owners, Joe and Deb, are lovely. They keep toys for child visitors to the inn to use on the beach, and Deb makes homemade muffins for the continental breakfast each day. We were first placed in a room that abutted the reception desk, and our 8-month-old had difficulty taking her naps. When we mentioned this to Deb, she thanked us for letting them know and moved us immediately to another room. The inn is very child-friendly, but also very quiet. We would recommend this to friends with children and without. read more
