This is a cute motel. We stayed in a private cottage, as in addition to the hotel rooms there are several cottages for rent. The cottage was called 'seagull'. It was very relaxing. It back onto the bike trail, and you can hike to the beach. The pool is very big here. It is indoor and heated. There is also table tennis, a mini golf course, playground, basketball and other outdoor games. Staff were lovely and so helpful. I would 100% recommend, especially for families. read more

The perfect place to stay with kids. They have shuffle board, some holes for mini golf, cornhole, a big pirate ship with slides, a hammock, other lawn games. They have lots of outdoor seating and offer gas and coal fire grills if you want to cook. There is a huge, heated indoor pool, as well. We were there 7/8-7/13/13 We choose the Tern cottage. It was clean, well maintained and comfortable. We enjoyed time on the deck and used the hammock. We didn't have time to use the Weber or the picnic table. On Wednesday morning there was no hot water. I reported the problem and when we returned later that day we had hot water. Things go wrong. The problem was fixed! We would defiantly stay there again. read more

I LOVE this place! My friends and I go here every year in fall after the season ends -- it's still warm enough to swim in the Atlantic (if you like it on the cold side), the good restaurants, etc., are still open, and the hotel and A-frames are situated between the main road (6A) and the CC Rail Trail. My friends love the Olympic-sized pool as well. We've stayed in both the hotel (studio w/ mini-kitchen) and the A-frame cottages. Very clean, comfortable, well-maintained. The A-frames are charming as well. The Quail, in particular, is downright luxurious with an upstairs bedroom with a balcony, fully equipped kitchen and two nice sized bedrooms on the first floor. The owners and staff are very responsive when you call with a problem or a concern (and will even lend you something small if you need it.) read more

I can't believe I'm the first to review. Pluses: Modern TV with plenty of channels, Free Wifi, Quiet, Clean, great location in Wellfleet, lots for kids to do at the motel like indoor swimming, ping pong and even a mini golf course in front. They also have available beach permits. Minus: Maybe it was just our room in the back but we couldn't get cell phone service or Wifi in the room. We had to step outside to access this. Thankfully they provide chairs outside. The walk to Marconi was a bit longer than advertised. Maybe we missed the special path but it took over 40 minutes EACH WAY. Price.. I thought it was a lot of money but it's peak season. read more

This was a great motel for a family vacation. The indoor pool was really nice, the playground and mini-golf in the front, while small and a bit aged, were a huge hit with our 3 year old. We stayed in a suite, which was very clean and comfortable. I'd definitely stay there again, next time I'd hope to stay longer and in an efficiency or cottage with a kitchen. The sound-proofing between rooms was great!! I NEVER heard anyone in the rooms next to us and they were occupied every night of our stay, occasionally we'd hear the floor creak in the room above us or water running, but it was surprisingly quiet. I will second the lousy cell service, we were able to get a weak signal at the window of the room. My biggest complaint was that after cleaning housekeeping left our windows wide open every day while we were out... I'm sure they feel the property is safe from break-ins, however I am the type of person who ALWAYS locks my windows when I leave the house so this was a little upsetting for me. Overall I was very pleased with this motel and plan to stay again in the future! read more

Nice location for exploring Cape Cod National Seashore that is very close to Marconi Beach. Rooms were clean. Bedrooms were simple with plenty of counter space. Bathroom was a bit cramped. Though we didn't use the pool, it looked nice- clean and large. Priced right (during the off-season at least). Would stay again. read more

Small quant establishment! Read the reviews and we decided to book a stay. Clean, good air condition. My kids really enjoyed the pool which was huge. Very clean. Had goggles and pool noodles for them to use. A gym in the basement for my husband. Loves the outdoor family activities and playground. Friendly staff. Beds were a little uncomfortable. A great family destination. We enjoyed our first visit to Eventide in June of 2014. We found the management team to be pleasant, courteous and professional. The room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. Wifi was always available. The property is located on off Route 6 but is set back from the road so that we never noticed road noise. A good benefit was that the Cape Cod Rail Trail can be accessed from the property. In addition, there is a nature trail that allows one to walk to Marconi Beach. It is .7 of mile through woods on a narrow path. Pricing was very reasonable making Eventide a great value. read more

My family recently stayed here for one night while visiting family who were vacationing in the area. The owner was kind enough to rent the room for one night even though weekends require a two night minimum. Four people in a suite, Room #8. One person was in a wheelchair and we had no trouble maneuvering around the rooms. The height of the bed was perfect for transitioning from the chair. I only wish the toilet was a handicapped toilet. But when considering how clean the rooms and grounds were and how nice the owner was, I would have no hesitation to stay again. read more

We stayed here for three days, two in a queen room and one in a king room. The rooms seemed to be the same size, but the king room had a flat-panel TV and a nicer, newer refrigerator, whereas the queen had a CRT TV and an older fridge. Overall we were satisfied with the rooms: they were good sized, they had a lot of counter space for our stuff, there were lots of electrical outlets, the WiFi worked well, the beds were decent, and the fridge was very handy. Of course, the best thing about this place is the location. It's maybe 100 feet from the bike path, so you can easily hop on and get just about anywhere on the Cape, and it's very close to a number of great beaches, especially Marconi, which is just a 20-minute walk through the woods (if you go the right way, yes). The Wellfleet drive-in is super close, along with several of the best seafood places on the Cape. We're not fussy, but there were a couple cons: two of the less-important lights in the queen room didn't work, and the design of the rooms doesn't allow for great ventilation on hot days/nights, although many motels have the same issue, which necessitates greater use of the somewhat noisy A/C. Price was more than what we wanted to pay but less than several of the competitors we called. read more

My husband and I stayed in the motel for two nights and were pleasantly surprised. The room was pristine and everyone was very pleasant. No bells and whistles here but a great family friendly vibe. It was also very quiet but it was also early in the season...The rail trail was a minute walk from our room and we also hiked to Marconi. Very pleasant walk. Spotted some turkeys! Stayed here a couple times now. Not high end, but clean, comfy rooms, good WIFI reception, quiet. Took the path to Marconi - get the map at the front office - we forgot to bring it with us and got a bit lost, but the walk was fine. Staff is always friendly. Will be returning. read more

Stayed here for a sorority reunion week-end and found a hidden treasure. Don't get to this area of the cape often but was so pleasantly surprised by how much there is to do in the area. Very clean and accommodations were great. We especially enjoyed gathering for that much needed coffee each morning in the beautiful outdoor sitting area. Great restaurants nearby and the owners were so helpful with recommendations on where to go and what to do. read more

Took a chance on this place last weekend and were very pleased. We stayed in the motel part (they also have cottages). It was your basic motel room, but the cleanest and best maintained one we've ever stayed in. The heated pool is large and clean. The motel is set well back from the highway, and shielded by a bunch of trees, so it is very quiet. Lots of activities on the grounds for kids (see website), access to walking and bike trails at rear. Super friendly and helful staff. About a 10-minute drive to Wellfleet Center. As with other reviewers, WFI signal was awful. Coupling this with the lack of cell service in the area is frustrating for a week long stay. When approached, the front desk staff acted as if it was the first time anyone had mentioned it. Walking to Marconi beach is not an option if you have younger children or anything to carry. The bike ride is fine, and we had no problem parking at Maguire Landing beach with the sticker we purchased. We booked the Kingfisher cottage for a week, which was very clean and roomy. The private deck off the back was disappointing. It was only accessible through bedrooms or through a dark and dirty concrete area off the laundry room, there were only 2 dirty chairs, and although there isn't anything they can do about it, due to the proximity of Route 6 to the deck the traffic noise is pretty bad. So, the only place to sit outside was within the common area - picnic / mini golf / etc, and the chairs there were also weathered and covered in bird droppings. Landscaping is neglected, as are mini golf and amusement/picnic area and equipment in general. Several exterior lights to the cottage were burned out, and the shrubs were over grown around the front entrance to the cottage. This along with burned out lighting made that entry unsafe to use. There is one gas grill for the entire complex. A four bedroom / four bathroom unit should have its own - eating out for 10 people is logistically (and financially) challenging so we planned to prepare most meals at the cottage. We had to wait most times for the grill, once until 10 pm. Pool was nice - food and beverages are not allowed, even on the deck. We'd normally rent a regular cottage at the Cape, but thought this sounded good because of the pool and other activities for the kids. Among these, it turns out the pool was the only thing that was in a reasonable state of repair. Since we spend a good amount of time at the beach and have a pool at home we could've gone without. I can't speak for the regular hotel rooms, but if it's a cottage you're looking for, this wouldn't be something I'd recommend. read more
