Dan had replaced a hard drive that had gone wonky on a laptop a few years ago. When I decided to give my new laptop a tonic water bath, I emailed these guys immediately. I brought my laptop in (however they usually will make house calls) and although my laptop was working when I brought it to them, they ran tests, optimized performance and cleaned the interior. Besides some keyboard stickiness, the computer is back to normal. Yes, I totally lucked out but it was great to get another set of eyeballs on my computer. Dan was absolutely amazing! He came to our business on time and ready to work. We had a damaged laptop with patient files that we did not back up yet. We were panicking about losing all of our files until Dan came in and removed the hard drive, put it into a similar laptop, and recovered our files! Dan used to be much better. Perhaps his business has grown too much. Perhaps he doesn't deal well with stress. In any case, he no longer bothers to behave in a professional manner, to be courteous, or to even keep appointments. He only guarantees results for seven days, which if you are only an occasional user, means you will be paying several times for unanticipated problems which may arise from the initial fix. Geeks--I'm back to you! Now it is a few months since I wrote this review and I have even harsher things to say of him. I recently discovered that he claims he installed a service (and I know I was charged for this services) that was NEVER INSTALLED PROPERLY. After a disheartening experience at BestBuy regarding my non-functional laptop (days and $$$$$ to have my data- then weeks for repair) I took to the internet - on a Thursday evening I reached Dan and explained to him the situation. The next morning by 9 am he was at my place ready to fix my laptop! He recovered my files in an hour and fixed my laptop essentially overnight! This is my first yelp post, but I had such a good experience with InnerPC I felt compelled to post about my experience. My laptop was hit with nasty virus (be careful if you are curious about some of the relatively new music sites) that rendered the computer useless. I couldn't run any programs and it looked like most of my files were deleted. I contacted three computer repair companies. Dan at InnerPC was the easy choice of the three. Of the other two, one didn't even want to see the computer and thought they could repair it remotely over the internet (a ridiculous suggestion since turning on the PC would lead to more file deletions). The other sounded OK and relatively inexpensive, but at second glance the relatively inexpensive quote didn't cover the data recovery of all of my files (pictures, music, etc.), which when looking at their pricing sheet would have exceeded InnerPC's quote. As far as Dan, he's a good guy and seems to care about doing the job properly. Dan explained my issue in easy to understand terms, explained how he would approach the repair, had rates were better than the others, and came to my apartment so I didn't have to arrange to carry my computer to a shop. He recovered ALL of my files. The computer is now virus free and probably runs better now than when it was new. He also recommended and installed a separate operating system that works similar to the Apple operating system (Linux) so it's virtually impossible to get a virus when surfing the web in this mode. I strongly recommend InnerPC and Dan, he did a great job, his pricing is competitive, and his customer service is great. read more

Inner PC was great. They helped me buy a computer because I have no idea what I am doing, they set it up for me (go Colin!!) Now because of new Windows it still mystifies me and they were really good about taking my calls. 4 months in I did a stupid thing and downloaded a virus, a very bad virus. The sad news was that my computer was out for 4-5 days and that was very sad but it's back and working like new! I had another company work on my old computer and I wasn't thrilled. This time I'm very happy. I would recommend Inner PC to my friends. But not to my mother, because I just won't do that to a company I like! read more

Dan is wonderful!! He recovered my hard drive after I got the "warning of death" from my laptop.. And he also transferred my data to another computer so that I can access it with ease. Dan offered to fix the old hard drive for a great price, but since I hardly use my laptop I declined. He wasn't pushy at all and was really willing to work with whatever I was comfortable with. The BEST part is that my dog developed quite an affinity for Dan and he had no problem letting my dog sit on his lap while he worked on my computer :) Will definitely use him again in the future. read more

My desktop HP was really acting up. It would take forever, just to log on a website. I had to endure frozen you tube videos. Everything was just slow. Then to top it off, it would make a loud whirring noise,like it was ready to take flight out of JFK, only to shut down. Instead of pressuring me to spend useless money they acted responsibly (and charged me nothing for a brief diagnostic session at their on-site office; i believe there is a modest charge if they come to your home). I called Inner PC right away because they seemed to have good reviews. Dan came that same day even though it was a weekend. Dan of Innerpc provided outstanding emergency computer repair service to us during a recent weekend trip to New York for the BIG EAST tournament. My daughter's Dell laptop unexpectedly began to upgrade her computer to Windows 10 but this ended up freezing my daughter's computer at a time when she needed access to her files and computer for work during the weekend. I called Dan at Innerpc at 12:30 pm on Saturday. He came to our hotel by 1:30 pm, diagnosed the problem (computer needed to be totally backed-up and the operating system needed to be reinstalled), and promised to have the computer back to us by 10:00 a.m. Sunday. He left me a message at 5:00 p.m. that he had done the work and that he would return the "new" laptop to us by 10:00 a.m. Sunday as promised. True to his word, at 10:00 a.m Sunday, Dan returned the "new" laptop. Dan is very personable and explains things very well in accessible language.
