After an amazing at-home massage, why would I go into a facility again? I wanted a massage that would be safe during the pandemic for my birthday, and InnerPeace Mobile Massage more than delivered. I spoke with Bryant, the owner, about my concerns, and he assured me that he and any of his therapists would work with my requests. After I had scheduled the appointment, I found out that one of my dear friends had been scheduling at-home massages with InnerPeace for nearly a year, with Bryant, so I felt pretty great about my decision. For their needs, they require a 5' x 8' area to be able to set-up their massage table along with a few plugs for the table warmer and relaxation music. They also bring fresh linens and their own oils, lotions, and creams. For my home set-up, I opted for my living room where I could have plenty of windows open for fresh air, a ceiling fan and an oscillating tower fan to circulate the air, and an air purifier near the area where I would position my head. During the massage, we both remained masked, and Bryant throughly washed his arms and hands before and after the massage. It was a great experience, and I know my future plans will include InnerPeace. Since they are mobile, there is an add-on charge depending on how far you are based on the home location of each individual therapist. Appointments can be made quickly online for 60 or 90 minutes, and since you pay in advance, that awkward moment where you have to calculate tip has already passed because you did it in advance from the comfort of your computer screen. My spouse and I were supposed to have a B2B massage today from Nicole at 10am. Around 0935 she text she'd be "a few minutes late". 25 mins later I text her to ask when she'd be here. No response. She later text my husband she'd be there by 11am. We had to cancel our appt bc we could not accommodate an extra hour of waiting around. The massage therapist actually listen to you when ask where would you like me to focus on and actually focusing on said area for quite a bit unlike some other massage therapy. First of all...I was on vacation in San Antonio when I called for a massage. I didn't tell the therapist that I am a massage therapist, because when I tell other therapists they do one of two things...ask alot of questions about where I work and I can't enjoy the massage or they go wayyy to hard on me. I am more of a swedish kind of girl. Stacey showed up looking very unprofessional. When I asked him if that noise was my back cracking? ....his response was.."Don't worry about it. If your not in pain." What????! Then specifically stated I DID NOT want my glutes done and I felt a definite breeze on my behind. I am not stupid and know when my butt crack is open to the air. Then I have NEVER, EVER had anyone massage the back of my knee that hard ever...my leg came up off the table completely, and then his next stroke was all the way up to my hip bone and I am very ticklish. I told him...your killing me down there and tickling me up here. His response was...Well their YOUR problems. (WTF). Then when I turned over he massaged my pecs and I told him I didn't realize they were that sore. His response: Well you are kind of top heavy. REALLY!! I was completely blown away by his responses and unprofessionalism. I saved the best for last.......not really sure how we got on the subject of Vegas..but, I told him I used to live there and he went on to tell me about being approached by a prostitute and stated to the prostitute...Do I look like I pay for pussy???? OMG. I have been a therapist for going on 13 years and nationally certified and work for a major hotel and I can see why he works as a "mobile" massage therapist. No one in there right mind would hire someone who looked and acted that way. I was appalled. I tipped him only because, I am a therapist and know that it is a hard job and wanted to get him the hell out of my room a.s.a.p. I would NOT recommend this company and if the owner Bryant is letting this guy work for him, he's crazy. read more
