We have been part of the IDI family for more than four years now. We left a previous dance studio due to several owner/instructor/studio issues. We love IDI and truly consider it a family. The owners care about each individual student and their families, making everyone feel like an extension of their own family. The instructors are top notch. They truly care about their students and maintain high and realistic expectations for them. Not only do the students learn about dance techniques, but they also learn to care and respect for other dancers and adults. The students work as a team to support each other in the good and difficult moments. Gossip is not tolerated at this studio, nor is disrespecting dancers or family members. If you are looking for dance drama, you won't find it at IDI. Also, one of my favorite things about the owners is how they take time to get to know the students and parents. They care about how well the kids are doing in school, too, and value their academic success. IDI makes a conscious decision to preserve the art of dance with their students. Ballet technique is the foundation of dancers at IDI. And, parents can rest easy knowing that recital and competition costumes are chosen with conservative taste in mind. They want students to be judged on their talent, not their costume, or lack thereof, like some others studios you might see. All of these things add up to a great family atmosphere where my child is respected and I feel comfortable to stay and hang out to watch my child perform, or leave and run those needed errands knowing she is well taken care of while I'm away. read more

My daughter just started her 4th year at IDI and she loves her dance family. She has spent all 4 years on the Competition Teams. My son also takes hip hop at IDI. I wish we would have found IDI earlier!! From the first time we walked through the doors we were welcomed with open arms. The owners, Mike and Megan, are fabulous and always ready to answer any questions you might have! At IDI they don't just look for 'text book' dancers instead they work with your dancers strengths and teach them how to turn their weaknesses into a strength! We love the teachers! I really appreciate how dedicated the whole staff is to giving kids a solid dance foundation, building confidence, and providing them with a lifelong love of dance! My daughter dances 6 days a week and looks forward to her time at dance EVERY day! One of the many things I like about IDI are their viewing windows. You can casually sit in a chair and see through the clear windows! They welcome parents into the studio to sit and relax while watching their child in class! I love sitting there and watching parents talk to the owners and teachers. Sometimes it's to ask a dance question and sometimes it's just to talk about life! LOVE! When I walked through the doors of Innovative Dance the summer of 2018, I had no idea our lives were about to change. I was just trying to see if my 4 year old would be interested in dance. It turns out, she loved it! She did a Ballet/Jazz Camp and received an invitation to be on the Petite Competition Team! A year later, she is now on the Elite Competition Team! My daughter Jenni has been dancing at IDI for 9 years now and through the encouragement, support and training of the staff, she has not only grown as a dancer but in her personal maturity as well. The owners, Mr. Mike and Mrs. Megan, truly care about the students and work hard to instill a sense of confidence in each and every dancer. This place is great! The instructors and owners are very attentive and incredibly talented at dance as well as teaching. My daughter has been dancing at Innovative Dance for 6 years and I would recommend them to anyone. My kids have attended other dance studios in the past and IDI has truly been a great experience. I was surprised to see a couple of negative reviews but I guess that's just the nature of business these days. There are a lot of kids that attend IDI with different skill levels and goals and I think the owners do a really good job of balancing the competitive teams and the regular dance class students while creating a positive family and team atmosphere. read more

At first I didn't know if we were goIng to like this dance studio for my daughter, but we quickly realized the caliber of the instructors, their tenacity with the students, and of course, their love for what they do. My daughter is now in her 3rd semester at IDI and we could not be happier with her growth and increasing skill set. My daughter has been dancing at Innovative dance for 6 years. 2 of those years were recreational and we are entering our 4th year of competition! I have never experienced a place where there is a sense of family, caring and love! Everyone helps each other! We have been at Innovative Dance for the last year 3 years. They have been so nice and kind and caring to both my girls. They are genuinely invested in their dancers and students. My daughter danced with Megan for less than a year and in that time we saw her technique and training suffered greatly.
