This is our third year at Dance Academy of Mansfield and we love it! The first day of class she walked right in and didn't even miss me. I was shocked because she would not stay with anyone besides mom, dad or grandma. She had a blast, the teacher was very kind and welcoming. She has loved all of the teachers she has had throughout the years. They are very professional at dance academy of Mansfield, but also are kind and understanding to the girls as well as the parents. I like that they incorporate different muscle groups in their practices as they do core, balance and stretching as well as dancing. I have notice improvements in my daughters feet and core strength. She has always had flat feet and has had some trouble with balance/coordination and I have noticed since starting dance that has improved. Lastly the production they have at the end of the year is amazing. So cool to watch as a parent. I love that DAOM is not ashamed of their faith and to talk about the Lord and pray; and for that reason is why I drive from Waxahachie to come here. My daughter loves it. For 2 kids, the pricing and timing options were very reasonable. The owners are very sweet and engage the kids well. It's very family oriented and they treat each dancer special. They teach with age appropriate methods and my girls have progressed nicely under their instruction. There are two shows a year which does add some extra cost extra but they are cost conscious when choosing venues and costumes. For a similar experience at other studios costs are much higher. While the website is lacking, don't let that cloud your opinion of what the kids will get out of their classes. I'm very glad we tried out this studio! We will be here until my kids lose interest in dancing (and I don't that expect that to be anytime soon).

And the level of classes and students are varied and you can attend classes that fit your level and needs. They also do a recital for your kids if you are interested for an addition... I think $60. The negative... I don't think the beginning hip hop class is for "serious" dancers. They are there learning basic moves and I think they are more focused on making it fun as opposed to technique. This is actually what we wanted, but if you were wanting it needing your classes to be more technique oriented, this is not the class for you. Maybe the higher levels focus a bit more on that but I wouldn't know. All in all, my daughter likes it very much and we keep going back. The people are great, the place is clean and professional and the "Dance Moms" I've met were all surprisingly wonderful women.

I never worry when she's there because I know she's in loving hands. They also do so many fun activities with the kids, arts and crafts, games, story time, and even themed projects. My daughter comes home excited to show me what she made. She always has paint or glitter somewhere on her, which honestly just proves how hands-on and creative the center is. I truly believe this is the place you come to be the best dancer you can be. But not only that, it's also where children learn hard work, dedication, love for your craft and your instrument, and self discipline. All of which will take them so far in life despite their chosen paths. The teachers treat the children as their own. We always refer to the teachers as our kid's second, third, and fourth (and so on) mom! They absolutely look out for their best interest. The director is amazing. Her knowledge of ballet and her expertise is not something you'd expect to get here, and if so, definitely not at the prices she charges. It's so affordable and there are no costume purchases or crazy fees! You will not find anything like this elsewhere! She also loves and cares for her students so very much. This place is a rare diamond that Arlington is blessed to have. It truly is an honor to be a part of this dance family. I can't imagine our life without Art Ballet Academy, and I know many families and students can agree. Pros: Conveniently located--right off the service road and very close to restaurants, grocery stores, and a dance shop. Affordable--tuition is much less than other studios in the area. Very good technique--teachers are extremely knowledgeable. This is a great place to advance skills and prepare for a career in ballet. This studio is for serious dancers. Cons: Toxic--students are clique-ish, teachers are condescending, and moms are snooty. I can't stress enough the frigidity of this place. They only encourage a career in ballet, not love of dance. If your child isn't serious about ballet, consider going elsewhere. They are very obvious with who their favorite students are. Every time you walk through their door, be prepared to get snubbed by teachers and/or parents. Cheap--tuition may be low, but they will nickel and dime you for every little thing. Those things may be optional, but you will stick out like a sore thumb and be made to feel like an outcast. Also, there are kids who run around acting like they live there, bringing in fast food and stinking up the place. (Contradicting right? How dare you snub people but bring in fast food?)
