My entire family has been going to Innovative Dental for almost 2 years now, and they are outstanding! Their facility has the latest technologies (digital x-rays, cleaning equipment, crowns made on-site), all their doctors are extremely knowledgeable about the latest dental technologies, and the entire staff always shows how much they care with every interaction. They are even YouTube content producers (check out their channel: InnovativeDentalofSpringfield) where you can see their doctors discuss their philosophy on various dental issues: cleanings, crowns, root canals, dental anxiety, and even how to finance it all, . When I initially moved to the area, I needed to get either a bridge or implant for a couple back molars that had been extracted a year earlier. Dr. Olson went over some different options, gave me the pros/cons of each, and provided a very cost-effective option for me with no pressure to go with one option over the others. Since then, one of my kids needed to get an (orthodontic) expander, and another now has braces. These people only care about selling implants. Since I could not afford implants, I was treated like a second class citizen during the 7 months I was a patient. My dental procedure was a disaster. I was ignored about my panic attacks. I was ignored when I was trying to discuss the medications I am currently taking, and my request for post op medications. I was denied nitrous oxide for my panic as I laid there crying, shaking, and begging for more numbing medication. For hours, I endured cutting, drilling, pulling, crunching while the dentist and the assistant sang Christmas music which was blaring on the speakers. When it over, I was set up in the chair and a hard plastic denture was literally shoved in my upper arch, which flew out immediately because I was bleeding heavily, drooling, and numb. It was the end of the day so the dentist immediately left the clinic and the assistant walked me out while handing me some gauze and told me not to call the on call dentist over the weekend because that line is reserved for VIP implant patients only. My next appointment, I respectfully told the new assistant what happened and my concerns. I showed her pictures of all the blood loss I had, and the fact my healing denture didn't fit at all. She told me all of that is normal. From that day forward, I was treated like a problem patient. Every visit was with a different assistant and they always had to go find out why I was there after I was taken back to a room. It's like no one knew what to do with me. I could see the assistants whispering while I always waited in the exam room. My last appointment, I received my final denture that was supposedly a cosmetic denture made of better material than my healing denture I had been using for 7 months.The lies and misrepresentations told to me or just completely omitted was shocking. I was actually told by several assistants that "they barely do dentures anymore. that would have been nice to know before paying thousands up front for the worst experience imaginable. The healing denture and my "cosmetic" denture are identical. There is no difference. It is not a cosmetic denture. See photo. Please don't let this fancy spa like office fool you. I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through for 7 months. There are many more things I could add to this review but I have a feeling it will be conveniently deleted or buried. Do NOT recommend. Dr. O/staff Inadvertently used permanent glue on temporary tooth. Dr O did not want to cut off, as he felt the match was close enough. Never received permanent tooth and was given no refund, of any sort. Placement was off and led to infection. Dr O provided mouth rinse known to stain teeth. Ended up at periodontist getting deep scale cleanings, every two months. Years later, and I'm still dealing with issues and work has had to be redone. So much money wasted. read more

Attention to detail is Horrible. They messed up my care credit transaction and over charged me beciase i had dual inisrance now the office has a credit owed to me, that was not offered up to pay me back, which is necessary 1 per month to stay complian with state law. The person who processed my payment was for 6 months with no interest, INSTEAD of 12 months, no interest. This office is NOT WORTH IT....the office LOOKS NICE, BUT THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.. They competed two crowns and they constantly pack foo. When I brought it to their attention, they didn't want to fix. I feel like they perforated my sinus and they refused to take a new x-ray after the crow was seated, just so they could make sure everything was okay. I can tell down the road i will need a new crown. So much cement was packed in around the crown and not cleaned out, I had to go back for a second visit, but they Still didnt want to re-di the two crowns I paid for. For being in the dental field for 17 years, and having a certification form care credit, because I work in the dental field, this office is a waist of time and look for every dollar they can get. Been a patient since 2017 and dont believe the good reviews...they have never filed a complaint and I have. Its been in GRANT OLSON, DDS email for almost a month. They do not care about your complaints, nor do they want to hear about them. I had to call almost a month latter to get an update on my complaint and they told me its still in his email box. Their response is silence and he's the owner of the business....very unprofessional! I have called multiple time and get forwarded to the patient cordinator and receive nothing back. Also the receptionist knows all this as I told her my complaints and she dissmissed my complaints and is politefully patronizing. Everything is fine untill you complain with a complaint. GRANT OLSON, DDS has time to get on and airplane (go on vacation or business Idk??? This is also what the receptionist told me), but no time to address complaints from customers regarding his business. They do not want to make things right with or by their customers, and eventually you will have problem with something someday! This place, what a joke! The staff is mediocre, at the very best, which they then use their cookies and 'fancy' coffee drinks to distract you from. The biggest issue - when they don't communicate with you for over a year about your bill, which is now obviously past due. They then proceed to randomly mail you a threatening letter to notify you that you bill is being moved into collections... wait, what bill?! Oh wait, they do send you a notification, in the form of a text message which looks like spam. No emails, no phone calls and only one random piece of mail and 2 (!!) text messages. I use text ALL THE TIME and am consistently bombarded with spam texts, and their messages look just like any regular spam message. To top it all off, the person I spoke to in the billing department had the audacity to suggest payment installments with the collections agency they hired. I'm lucky enough to not NEED the payment installments and could've paid the entire thing off at the very beginning HAD THEY CONTACTED ME IN A NORMAL WAY. I had to insist they email me my records and payment records, insane that they don't just start there! All this to say, visit this place if you're interested in flashy dentistry which is worse technically than other dentists and are also interested in the most ass-backwards invoicing system of all time. Update: I have proof they delete poor reviews! This business is an INNOVATIVE SCAM! How does a dental office that contradicts themselves by offering sugary items right after lying about the health of your teeth and doing unnecessary work deserve a "5 star rating"? Perhaps they are deleting their negative reviews or are negotiating positive reviews. They pull you in and brainwash you with attractive and overly friendly staff, a fancy environment, high-end machinery, cookies and coffee, a five star rating with mainly positive reviews, and much more. Here is my personal experience: I originally decided to choose them as my dentist due to the fact of everything I mentioned at the beginning. At my first appointment for my routine cleaning, they told me I had multiple cavities. While I thought I took excellent care of my teeth by brushing well twice a day and flossing daily, I believed them. They said my wisdom teeth had cavities and needed removed and a few others that needed filled. I made an appointment to get my cavities filled and they used an item called an isodry that they put in your entire mouth to keep your tongue from moving around and while I understand the use of this item, it gave me a traumatizing experience because I felt suffocated, have bad gag reflexes, and I get dental anxiety. I kept having a panic attack and asking them to stop to take it out but they would not fill my cavities without it. After the fillings were completed, I had to go back because something did not feel right with my new fillings so they checked and said everything looked fine. At my next routine cleaning, they told me I had like 3-6 new cavities that needed filled. I was shocked! I thought something was wrong with me so, I expressed my concerns and said that my fiancé eats candy and drinks coke all the time and I do not do anything close to that and don't understand how I could get so many cavities but he never gets them. They said I could have extra bacteria in my mouth or maybe have a daily habit that I am not aware of that causes cavities so they prescribed me a special toothpaste to help prevent cavities. Before making an appointment to get all of my cavities filled, I reached out to see if they would fill my cavities without the isodry and explained how I felt about it but they refused. Therefore, I decided to cut ties with them and find a new dentist because I did not want to go through that experience again, especially with multiple cavities this time. It says a lot to me that they care more about their procedures than the comfort of their client. I made appointment with a new dental office that I am keeping confidential that I sent my x-rays to from Innovative Dental and who did new x-rays just to have updated ones. They cleaned my teeth, and then the dentist came in to review my x-rays and check my teeth and said everything looked good. I said, "What? My teeth are all good. I don't have any cavities at all?" In response, they said I did not have any cavities and my teeth looked great. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Literally. I said that my previous dental office stated at my most recent cleaning with them that I have multiple new cavities, plus the cavities on my wisdom teeth that I haven't had removed yet. So then, my new dentist reviewed the x-rays from Innovative Dental and they did not see any cavities on those x-rays either. At this point, I didn't know how I felt about this situation - if I was extremely upset, happy, or both and felt the need to share with my new dentist how I felt about Innovative Dental and they expressed they have heard similar stories and witnessed similar situations, which at that point I wasn't surprised and felt scammed. After the fact, I then wondered if my previous fillings with them that cost me over $1000.00 needed work done or if they worked on my perfectly good teeth for no reason except to gain money. Their INNOVATIVE frauds and brainwashing may be the only reason they are able to afford their fancy new facility. Especially in comparison to their old office. Don't let their ;) fool you! read more

I really do enjoy found here. I was referred to by a friend after a not so great experience at a prior dentist. Walking in I felt like a rockstar. The staff care about you and want to know a little about you. Dr. Olson was super nice and wanted to know about me before he even began assessing me. One: If you are a new patient like I was, be prepared for a hard sell on Invisalign. They will continue to harass you and avoid the initial reason why you went in until you either walk out or agree to try Invisalign. I should have walked out. Two: I had two gumline fillings done at Innovative. One fell out after a month and I almost swallowed it. Found another dentist to repair it. The other filling was crumbling inside allowing bacteria to create an infection under the filling causing foul odor and sensitivity. Went to my new dentist for repair and they were surprised at how poorly done the filling was and that it was crumbling inside. Looked as if someone didn't know what they were doing. Dr O did this filling. Three: Prior to my fillings falling out, I went back to Innovative with tooth sensitivity and some mild pain. Dentist told me to use flouride toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Guess he didn't know how to diagnose a root infection? Which is what I had. Went to my new dentist, the one who correctly repaired the faulty fillings Innovative did, and was diagnosed with a root infection. At this time, I was in severe pain. Had a root canal done. I guess Dr. O didn't know how to diagnose a root infection...or didn't care. Four: If you think their new, state of the art facility is any representation of the quality of work they do inside, think again. They took me for several thousand dollars! I got suckered into Invisalign, which they couldn't even do that right. I had to have a whole set of new trays ordered at the end of treatment because the first set wasn't computed correctly. Made my front teeth more crooked! The second set want much better, but I gave up after that. I had fairly straight teeth going into Innovative, but thought I could use some light straightening to make my teeth look even better, which is what they were pushing. Dr O couldn't deny his mess up after he reviewed my tray, even though he wanted to prior to reviewing it. Nice try, O. And way to go on not putting forth any effort to look into my complaint on my tooth, which you missed diagnosed. Either you didn't know any better or didn't care. Send me out the door with a suggestion using toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Five: They must buy reviews. No way, with the poor job done on my teeth, and the other low star reviews posted, can they have that many positive reviews. 5000+...really? That is what I saw when I was looking for dentists. Now it's almost 2800. What happened? Where did the other reviews go? Did they get turned in for false reviews? No way that many people, considering what they did to my teeth, think they are good dental practitioners. I am now with a competent dentist who had to repair the shoddy work Innovative did. No wonder Innovative makes new patients sign so many legal disclaimers. They can't be sued for their shoddy work. Bottom line is, you don't need a fancy facility with techno music blaring, coffee and donuts while you wait and a male dentist who has surrounded himself with a band of feline worshippers who focus more on how funny his jokes are than adequately performing essential job duties for patients. Best experience at the dentist ever. I drove 8 hours from Iowa to get a crown. I struggled with getting it fixed here in Iowa so I headed down to Innovative Dental to help. They took a digital impression and made my crown in house just 30 minutes later. I walked in with a temporary crown and walked out a couple hours later with my permanent crown. It was quick, painless, and done with excellence. The confidence that Dr. Olson and the staff have in their equipment and in their knowledge gave me peace that i was getting the best treatment and care! Thanks! Got some dental work done a year ago. Wasn't happy with the results. Dr. Grant did a great job fixing it, but not until after 3-4 bad experiences with the assistants and financial person here. They are really on top of their social media profile and will ask you to improve your score and/or take it down, so if you aren't happy, leave a review and you will hear from these folks pretty quick. This review is about the price of dental work at this facility. I had an exam and estimate. The estimate was for $20,000 and, of course, they would arrange financing. So, after much contemplating and research, I went to vacation in Del Rio Texas and cross the bridge to the dentist in Acuna Mexico. The dentist is 2 1/2 blocks into Mexico. Her office is close to the lab so crowns are ready in 2 days. I have one week Monday, Wednesday and Friday then come back in 2 months to finish.Getting ALL of the work done that Innovative would have billed at $20,000 is a total of $4000 in Acuna Mexico. The crowns that have been put in have been pain free and look nice. So, get your passport and take a dental vacation. read more

I have a love-hate relationship with this place. They are very good at what they do. But I always feel like they are out for the almighty dollar. They try to pull you in by offering free cookies, speciality drinks, etc. My children love it, but in the old day dentists used to tell you to stay away from this stuff because it destroys your teeth. I brought my 5-year old daughter for her first appointment here because this is where we go. It cost over $200 for her to have her teeth cleaned and for Dr. Megan to look in her mouth. Her whole appointment took 15 minutes and this is with no x-rays! I get it, they went to school for this and they are skilled professionals, but Dr. Megan was in her mouth 15 seconds! We do not have dental insurance and pay cash for all our visits. Thankfully, we are able to afford this, but I felt sickened at the price. It felt like extortion and not righteous. It's harder than you think I hate the dentist, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. It's more like a spa than a dentist office. The have a room called the comfort room. It's a massaging chair. It's super awesome and it's free! They have really good free coffee and cookies. The have all the latest and greatest high fangled stuff. I have gotten veneers on the front four teeth on top. Now, i also had the invisaligns to align my teeth. I was assured it was a good choice. My front teeth failed and was going to require a root canal on both front teeth. These veneers popped off several times in the last five years which they didn't charge me to repair to be honest. However, after the five year mark they told me it would be 1300.00 to repair a veneer next to the front tooth. I spent Thousands with innovative to do the invisaligns and the veneers. Only to have To go and get options elsewhere that will require a bridge of the two small teeth and caps on the front two teeth along with root canal. I was told the Teeth were prepped too small and wouldn't hold caps or veneers well. Or final option full denture top plate. Nice to have options huh? Be careful! innovative is friendly and I like the staff and atmosphere. Would I do veneers if I had the option now? NO A Thousand times over!!!!!! It doesn't pay to get them!!!! We tried this office out for my kids. Huge mistake. For each child, I was berated in the lobby for the condition of their teeth and all but accused of lying about candy consumption. I was berated again when they had me in the room with my children, and again while they were making a treatment plan. I have never been so upset and humiliated at a medical office. By the time it was done, I had been lectured six times by five different people. Of the two hours in the office, a full forty minutes of that had been spent having their staff talk to me like I was a horrible parent. Worst dental experience ever. My kids are older; I cannot sit on them to floss and brush their teeth for them. We hound them multiple times a day to brush. We send them back to do it again when we see visible stuff still on their teeth. And again to floss. It is a huge battle every.single.day. I'm looking to be backed up at a dentist in my efforts to teach my kids. Yet at this office, the staff went after *me* like I had never taught them how to brush or why they should avoid constant sugar exposure. They said nothing to me that I have not repeatedly said to my kids. We do make healthy choices at home, but I have zero control over what they do when they are not at home. Yet the staff went after *me* and talked to me like I had never attended to their mouth hygiene. Anyhow, after they got done telling me my kids should not have treats, i needed to limit eating to one snack between meals, etc, (the assumptions and accusations here made me so upset!) my kids came out with frosted hot chocolate shakes and then had cookies in the lobby. Wtf!? So me telling them the dentist said to avoid treats was completely undermined before I could even talk to them and give the message (because again-the staff chose to lecture *me*) They may be a fancy office, but if you don't like getting publicly berated and lectured, if you want to be treated like the scum of the earth and the worst parent ever, then find somewhere else to go. read more

I get innovative dental has everything to get the job done, but they definitely aren't honest. I had an appointment and they took my xrays and said that I have 7 cavities. They said there was no way around it and I had to do some $400+ surgery to fix my teeth. I was taken back to some office so they can tell me everything that is wrong with my teeth and had 4 other workers sitting in there. There was no privacy. I take very good care of my teeth so I just didn't see it. I scheduled an appointment at Moore Family Dental and after my checkup they said I had no cavities whatsoever. Innovative Dental is very shady and makes me think how many others they tried scamming. All the cookies and coffees they offer that aren't even good for your teeth to start off with, all the super nice workers. Seemed like I was in some black mirror episode. Place is weird as hell and built on lies scamming people out of there money to make their fancy buildings and offer very unnecessary things that have nothing to do with dental work like massages, sugary things, etc. read more
