Unlike the big chain banks, they will NOT alert you if a stranger tries to steal your money directly from your account. I had THOUSANDS withdrawn illegally from my Money Market and checking account. I received withdrawal alerts on my phone and shut down the account IMMEDIATELY once this happened. They let the thief steal my money immediately as I did not receive any alerts asking me if I approved these withdraws. My money was already gone. I filed a police report and even located the I.D. number from the person that stole my money. The owner of the gambling company told me he would not supply the name of the thief unless the judge issued a subpoena. Unfortunately, the police never authorized this action as they receive so many reports daily and simply don't have enough staff to handle these claims. My money was gone! CA Coast fraud department is a joke as after supplying them with this information due to my own research, they told me they wouldn't act on contacting the thief as they are letting the police handle the situation. The money that was stolen from my account was NEVER REFUNDED back to me and I lost thousands. $$$! CA Coast will tell you your money is protected however they do not offer proper protection if your private information is located on the dark web. AVOID THIS BANK AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU HAVE WAY TOO MUCH MONEY AND DON'T MIND GIVING IT AWAY TO THIEFS!
