    Partner workout day!
    Jacob C.

Has yelp come out with the 6th star yet? The problem with most gyms is that you sign up and never get the assistance you really need! You wonder around and try and workout based on something you saw on Facebook or a movie, then the next day in your in pain and agony and never want to go back again. Not here! They teach you how to do everything, they show you the proper form and won't allow you to any workouts if you can't do them correctly. They teach what foods to eat and what to avoid! They are positive and uplifting! They have preset workouts do you don't have to guess what to do next. They tell you that you're going to be sore the next day and then tell you to keep coming back. Classes are one hour long and they have them as early as 5am and as late as 630pm. They have showers available as well. They play music during the workouts. They also have a childcare area. check this place out! They have great deals, located in a safe area and offer weekend workouts as well.

I've done wrestling, boxing, and kickboxing here. I liked the intro to boxing here but to be honest this is definitely a fighter oriented gym. They cater to the fighters before just regular gym goers and that's fine, it just meant I'm not their target clientele. Coach JR and Coach Ermias are really talented and good at what they do, if you do happen to go I'd say train with them or attend their classes. They know their stuff and are serious about their craft but willing to teach you. I only tried the wrestling once or twice but the coach for that is good as well for complete newbies. It's intimidating but not impossible you just have to try it. Definitely don't come here just to socialize like some people use the gym for. People are here to train and often shoot demo reels here. The owner trains across the world so like I said they're very focused on their fighters here. If that's what you're looking for and you have a background in fighting or want to seek it for your career I'd recommend this place, but for the average person who wants to take a boxing class it might be a little intimidating.

I've been doing some form of martial arts/boxing since 1998, and have seen a lot of gyms all over North America. This one is awesome, for so many reasons. First: I'm a girl. That means my gym experience (especially in the testosterone-fueled boxing industry) usually sucks, thanks to creepy guys attempting all kinds of nonsense while I'm trying to work out. Everyone here was super-respectful, and focused on their own business. Two: The owner Steve, who was friendly and accommodating from the first. Also, the place is supervised by an amazing gentleman by the name of Reuben. This guy is old-school polite, and was beyond helpful with my training. Due to some health issues/injuries I'd been out of Muay Thai for a while, and he was super patient in helping me get back into my boxing routine. Three: The gym itself. All the equipment and bags you could need, plus a great ring. (Bonus? Next to Rick's Dessert Diner, if you need to replace some calories. Just saying'.) Looking forward to coming back to Sacramento soon so I can continue training here!

Hasn't claimed his business via yelp or google... to avoid accountability. Doesn't answer or respond once you try and "leave". Very unprofessional and SHADY. gym is small, and overpriced with poor service. I have run into multiple people experiencing the same experience. Don't sign up unless you know for sure you never want to quit. Otherwise you'll have to call your bank to actually stop getting charged.

To start off I must say this is my first time doing this sport and so far, it has been amazing challenges and work all together. The coaches are very knowledgeable when conducting the boxing classes and most definitely kick our butt every single time. They really hone in on the fundamentals and teach you how to improve gradually as you attend more classes. The workouts definitely get your heart rate jumping from start to finish but only 45 minutes which is perfect! They also offer a variety of class times which is great for anyone with a different schedule. All in all, from the coaches, to front desk and ownership they truly care about your wellbeing inside and out of the gym which is a beautiful thing. Being a former college athlete and seeing this type of inclusivity has given me such reminders of what I miss from a collegiate level. Regardless of where you start, your age, or current fitness level everyone including the members are very helpful and kind. You will not regret signing up for this gym!

The classes are well organized, and the workouts are a great combination of circuit-style bodybuilding and learning the fundamentals of boxing. Every member of the gym, no matter their age or experience level, has been fun to train with--it's truly a great community. The coaches are excellent and do a great job keeping you motivated, even when you're working your hardest. I've personally been coached a lot by Coach David since my work schedule lines up with the classes he teaches. My advice to anyone reading this: don't be nervous about trying boxing. I understand it can feel intimidating at first, but the environment and atmosphere here are very welcoming and a whole lot of fun. I have never boxed before, but I've lifted weights for many years now. The instructions in the email told me to arrive 30 minutes prior so they can help me put hand wraps on and show me the boxing basics since I am a first-timer. Ruth was the first one I met and she was so chill and kind and a great teacher when teaching me the 6 basic punches. Then Anne came! She was the instructor for the class and was very hyped and motivated and encouraged everyone. She also gave me tips on how to improve my form and what to avoid doing and why. I really liked how thorough her explanations were. Her class had me SWEATING and i loved every second of it. I love pushing my body and being active and this class does exactly that. I also met Blake the owner of the place too and he was very kind! Overall I really enjoyed how welcoming the boxing club was and i look forward for many more classes with them!!

The family business vibe that kept me for 6 years was minimal. The owner (Patrick) turned into a MAGA keyboard warrior. I avoided Patrick's classes because it was 45 min of stretching and 15 min of workout. Coach Kirby's classes kept me going since my strength gains were worth it (and you don't need to take your shoes off for strength training lol). There was no point in coming here after the last certified personal trainer quit their strength program and more women gradually left. I would rather drive more to train at a different gym (more than one Muay Thai & strength gyms exist in Sacramento) than come here. I don't mind the cost as long as I am in a clean facility and the vibe is worth it. The only reason they have one star left is for Coach P. - he is a good Muay Thai coach and a rockstar. I didn't really go to Coach Rocci's classes until last year, but the few times I did his music was the best for sparring. Pro tip: use a different personal FB account to post political content where gym members can't see them. Regardless of whether people agree/disagree with your views, there is a level of professionalism needed if you want to be a successful business owner.
