He told me to wait until after the car wash to see if I wanted to sign up. Not a huge fan of the steelyard commons area but I liked the car wash. My car is cleaner than the normal wash I go to. The wheel clean made my wheels super shiny. The dryer works really well. I didn't use the vacuums as I cleaned my car not too long ago. When I pulled into the wash bay I was given an air freshener. I would recommend the car wash and will be getting the membership.

While I did appreciate that the guys did clean the inside of my car and did a fairly good job, the outside left quite a bit of even dust I suspect came from some of the towels they used to dry the car. There were also a few areas that needed a bit more attention. I want to try this place again as again being a manual car wash - this could just have been a bad experience but at minimum this place has some advantages as a manual car wash, but also disadvantages as they aren't always consistent in their quality. Bottom line - I can't bring myself to recommend this place because my one data point resulted in an inconsistent clean. However, being a manual wash that cleans outside and in, it might be worth a try if you're in the area.

I was originally going to give this car wash a 3/5 star Yelp rating but I bumped it up to 3.5/5 because some workers cleaned the inside of my car for me. I gave a cash tip to those workers. I would rate the outside car wash (hot wax) as a fair experience because the machine cleans the outside of a car but not exceptionally. My car did look shiny after the car wash. The exterior of my car was still left with smudges and dried bird poop was left on my car. I was hoping the hard stains including the bird poop would be taken off but the car wash machines are not strong enough. A friend mentioned that I will need to go to a car detailing place to really have all the hard stains scrubbed and removed off of my car. After going through the automatic car wash, I was able to vacuum and wipe down the inside of my car myself. On the day I visited, there were extra workers who were available to help me wipe down the inside of my car which was nice service. Overall, if you have hard stains on your car, I wouldn't recommend Waterway Express or any machine car wash.
