I really wish I could give this place a better rating as the concept of a quick manual hand wash is appealing as so many automated places miss key spots or don't reach parts of my smaller and probably a bit low riding car. Unfortunately, while service was fast and the attendants were friendly, I rate a car wash primarily on the wash itself. While I did appreciate that the guys did clean the inside of my car and did a fairly good job, the outside left quite a bit of even dust I suspect came from some of the towels they used to dry the car. There were also a few areas that needed a bit more attention. I want to try this place again as again being a manual car wash - this could just have been a bad experience but at minimum this place has some advantages as a manual car wash, but also disadvantages as they aren't always consistent in their quality. Bottom line - I can't bring myself to recommend this place because my one data point resulted in an inconsistent clean. However, being a manual wash that cleans outside and in, it might be worth a try if you're in the area. read more

My go to car wash on Pearl and Brook Park had closed, so I was looking for a place that would do both hand wash plus a basic interior vacuum along with window wipe down. I'm very glad that I learned about this place on yelp because the guys working here are amazing. One of them hoses down the car and a couple more do the hand wash while you remain in the vehicle (no tire rail, just standard garage floor). Then you advance the car forward and get out while they vacuum and do the windows. They also cleaned the dash and even some section of the door jams. (I had tipped pretty well ahead of time). They are thorough! My car looked almost as if it had been detailed! And this was 9 for the wash and 4 for the inside and then a tip. It is cash only....highly recommended. read more

Today was my first time here. Very small garage that they wash your vehicle in but they seem to have no problems making it work. I just had the outside washed and tire shine added. $9 for the hand wash and hand dry and $3 for the tire shine. Very reasonable pricing, especially for the hands - on service. There are about 5 guys that work on your car. They seem to have a pretty good system... each one knows what his role is. I like that. I think each of them greeted me at some point or other while I was there. These guys are very friendly and made me feel good to be there and I felt appreciated. Great crew working there! The only draw back is that they don't accept credit cards, so have cash on hand. There IS a convenient store butted up against the car wash that has an ATM machine if you don't have cash with you . The ATM fee was reasonable $2.25. It's hard to find a decent car wash these days and one that doesn't cost a fortune. I'm glad I know of this one now. They need have a board up posting their prices. This was my first time there so I had no clue of what it would cost for my SUV to be washed. I only knew to bring cash from reading the other reviews. I love this place. They do the best hand wash in town for the bargain price of $13! You can't beat it. Sometimes you have a wait but the end result is worth it! I've been coming to my favorite ghetto wash for years and they almost never disappoint. In and out wash, cash only, and the people are nice and friendly. I drove my winter weary car here today coated by salt and dirt with dust and debris inside. I left with my car looking better than it did from a past $100 so called detailing. The charge is now $9 for hand washing and hand drying, and $4 for interior vacuuming, window washing, and dusting. Several polite men work hard for the money but Donna Summer never sang about them. No idea why a previous reviewer found the location scary as it is just one more neighborhood in the rust belt. read more

I'll be honest. I've looked at this spot before for a close car wash. Living downtown there aren't a lot of close options. Unlucky for me, my car was being leaked on by some funky substance from the ceiling. Lucky for me I chose Flash Auto Wash! I drove over and pulled into the tight garage. Everything is done by hand. Upon arriving at this location, a sign in the door notified me that their other location at 2626 w. 41st was open instead of this one. I'm not sure if this is permanent or changes daily/weekly. In any case, these guys made the interior of my car, which was previously covered in dog fur and leaves, look like new for $7. Pretty amazing. Recommended to me by my neighbor. Rare 62 degree day January 31, 2012. Waited in line behind 4 cars for my turn. The guys got my car so clean I should take pictures of it. The best part $9.00 for inside and out. Clean windows, dash, carpet and they scrubbed some Conrail paint drippings off my front bumper. Hand dried whole thing and then opened the hatch and cleaned the back windows. Nice! My future is so bright I'll have to wear shades. Open 7 days a week. read more
