I visited for the first time in early July 2023. I choose the hot wax car wash option which is $18. I was originally going to give this car wash a 3/5 star Yelp rating but I bumped it up to 3.5/5 because some workers cleaned the inside of my car for me. I gave a cash tip to those workers. I would rate the outside car wash (hot wax) as a fair experience because the machine cleans the outside of a car but not exceptionally. My car did look shiny after the car wash. The exterior of my car was still left with smudges and dried bird poop was left on my car. I was hoping the hard stains including the bird poop would be taken off but the car wash machines are not strong enough. A friend mentioned that I will need to go to a car detailing place to really have all the hard stains scrubbed and removed off of my car. After going through the automatic car wash, I was able to vacuum and wipe down the inside of my car myself. On the day I visited, there were extra workers who were available to help me wipe down the inside of my car which was nice service. Overall, if you have hard stains on your car, I wouldn't recommend Waterway Express or any machine car wash. However, customer service here in my personal experience is a 5/5 but the actual car wash, at least just the hot wax option, is a 3/5. Never thought I'd find myself writing a glowing review for an automatic car wash but here we are. I drive through Waterway for a basic wash every couple months. This runs me $9 and for the speed and convenience is well worth it to save myself the 30+ minutes it would take me to drag out the hose and vacuum and do a mediocre job washing it myself at home. There are a couple main reasons I'm giving Waterway 5 stars. A) No cheesy themes. No one needs their car wash to look like a jungle. Just be a car wash, and B) The young men who work here are unusually and surprisingly pleasant. They wear nice, neat shirts and, even when standing out in the cold in January, act like it's their pleasure to tap a few buttons on a touchscreen for you. It's like the Trader Joe's of car washes. Plus, facilitating the transaction and not letting people fumble around a screen from their drivers' side seats keeps things moving. Even with cars lined up you can get in and out fast. They have inside and outside vacuum banks that come included with a wash. In the last year they added a second row of outdoor vacuums. Even at this step of the cycle, there are employees available to assist if the tube comes out of the nozzle. That checks all the boxes for a tunnel car wash for me and other friends who go to the same location or their other across town. Glad to have this one down the road. read more

My husband uses this car wash religiously. I recently started taking my truck here because they offer an additional service to clean the interior. Today we weren't doing the interior as we had a a prior commitment we had to get to. We go through and the brush lifts and missed the grill, the hood, the windshield. We paid for a car wash and came out with bugs on the entire front of my truck. We went to go back through and the attendant said that they shut that brush off for trucks because it goes into the bed of trucks. I understand the reasoning but, if I'm paying for a car wash, that should include the front of my vehicle. I asked if we go back through could they turn it on so the bugs get off the front of my vehicle. She called a manager over and he claimed there is a pre treatment for bugs. I asked where and he just kept talking through his speech. I ended up asking for a refund due to me feeling that they were ignoring my questions and weren't hearing my concerns. So if you have a truck I recommend missing this car wash. read more

It's March and I live in Cleveland. You know that means my car was covered with salt and dirt. Even the inside was wrecked. Waterway Express cleaned my car inside and out for an incredibly reasonable price! They even got the salt off the floor mats! And such friendly service. read more

they don't tell you if your auto is 10 years old or more they dont take responsibility for damage . unlike clean express that gives you dash wipes and air fresheners waterway don't even give you a towel when you sign up for subscriptions now. read more

ive beeen a member at this carwash since they opened, my car was recently in a accident. my car has been in the shop for over 2 months and I still paid my $45 membership even though I had no car. I jus got a rental and wanted to get it washed before I turned it in, they told me I have to change my membership to the rental car and then come back in when I get my car back and change it again. Didn't have time to do all that since I was on my way to work. they told me then I would have to pay for it....unacceptable to me, I canceled my membership. I went to another car wash down the street and told them my story and they gave me a complimentary car wash no questions asked. needless to say I will become a member there instead of waterway, because they understand customer service. I would not recommend waterway car wash to anyone again. read more

Big and new car wash. Buy a membership for all the washes you need per car. Or go inside for a one-time wash. With a barcode sticker on your windshield you can drive right thru for a good wash using the plastic and felt-like brushes. Then you can drive around to a large garage to vacuum your car or to dry off your car. Bring your rag cloths. 3 stars: We were surprised to see the self drying and vacuuming because where we live students do those services for you as part of your membership. In February I took my car through Waterway to have a car wash as the salt at that time of year is very corrosive. I followed all instruction given by the associate and the car wash it self. After having a relatively normal experience, I noticed after getting home that there were a multitude of scratches on my car that were not there prior to the wash. I contacted the business and arranged the meet when the GM was there a few days later. I documented the attached pictures immediately after the car wash. I filled out a report with the GM who was unusually skeptical about the damage his car wash did and wanted me explain to him why his car wash damaged my vehicle. He told me he would contact me the next day with a decision and I never was months later. Go to a touch less car wash. Or just take a rock and scratch it yourself, you'll have the same result. read more

I just moved here and was next door shopping when I noticed this place. I was sitting in my car trying to figure out what it was (because it's a huge building) not like car washes I'm used to seeing. Anyway I realized it was a carwash and decided to check it out. The staff was super friendly. The carwash itself was really easy to enter and washed my car pretty well. I did miss the exit area and had to back up to go through the building to exit. I'm sure the employees got a good laugh. There were vacuums inside as well as outside of the carwash. The prices weren't bad. I got the full works type carwash for less than 20 bucks. Since it's close to my house I'm sure I'll be frequently coming here. read more

This car wash does not fix their own mistakes. First car the vehicle emblem fell off. The other two vehicles have clear distinct marks and were washed within minutes of each other in the same line. Both have horizontal and vertical lines. GM says they are not responsible for the vertical ones. There brushes only brush horizontal however he assures me that his car wash did not do the horizontal ones either. Interesting both cars are the same. Not a happy camper here. read more

I went here shortly after they opened and they are great. What I like about this car wash is that they offer different packages that you can choose. Another great thing Waterway does that many car washes don't is that they have 4 lanes that merge into 2 wash lines. Overall, a great place to get your car washed. read more

I just bought my first brand new truck a week ago so proud of myself. I decided to wash it after the salt to get it off. However, all over my vehicle now is deep scratches was told by a body shop. My whole truck has to be repainted. Very difficult to get in contact with someone to pay for the damages. The guy who took the damage report was very arrogant and rude. Says he's been working there for six years. Kind of makes you wonder why he can't do anything else also manager try to say they didn't cause damages. However, this is a brand new truck less than a week old definitely considering a lawsuit if this regional manager does not get in contact with me very soon read more

Terrible customer service with NO personal service. If u have a jeep it won't get a full cleaning. They turn off the overhead brushes, eventhou at ur request and u take full responsibility!! Have to go thru a couple times to get it clean. Just there because of convenience!! read more

I like the service and the price range as well. The only thing I don't like is that they don't even enforce their own rules. It clearly say that you can't smoke and play loud music. However there was two cars playing loud music one was Spanish and the other was English. They told the Spanish person to turn it down but not the other one. As a Spanish speaker myself I felt some type of way. Treat all your customers equally. I seen about 3 workers and not one person said something. read more
