I drove by and decided to see what Inside Out Restorative Spa was all about. Within just a few minutes I knew I would be booking some services. My first visit was for the pod. I am incredibly sensory sensitive and had many concerns and questions. Rachel was exceptionally caring, proactive, and knowledgeable. Her care and attention to detail went far beyond the job description. My second visit was with my 14 year old daughter. We were both treated to an ionic foot bath. Sheila and Rachel welcomed myself and my daughter with superior hospitality and kindness. Neither of us have had this service before. While I have heard good things about the actual practitioners (Hilda), this place is completely mismanaged. And I don't even know if I trust the staff here anymore. I was canceled on 3 times. Can you believe it? Everytime I made an appointment- the day before, it got cancelled. This happened 3 weeks in a row. Then Sheila just stopped contacting me altogether, she didn't "make it up to me" like she said she would, and she never tried to reach out to me again to "reschedule." I know things can go wrong, but the fact that she didn't even try to reach out or behave professionally leads me to believe this place is shady and I don't recommend it. There are so many other places in the same area that are SUPER professional and knowledgeable. By the way, I still have all the cancellation texts for references if you care to see them. read more

My sister found this place and mentioned it to me that i should try to book the same day, and within less than 24 hours i was sitting in the lap of luxury being pampered like a freaking queen! The whole experience was awesome. This place is the dreamland you didn't even know you needed. The decor, the ambiance, the music, the quotes on the walls, the gorgeous tufted giant white chairs to the greenery on the walls, makes you feel like you walked into a wonderland of relaxation, harmony, and inner peace. The staff was all phenomenal. This is a woman owned and operated business and you can tell. I feel like this is the Disneyland of spas, they spared no expense when it came to making you feel comfortable and pampered. From the moment i walked in, Shel'la welcomed me and made me feel comfortable, she guided me and explained everything i needed to know about the procedure i was having (lymphatic drainage), as a first timer i had no idea what to expect and she was there to answer any questions i had. She also was so helpful and informed me of the current specials on the other services. I had always wanted to try a colonic and foot ionic soak, I jumped at the chance to get those while i was there. Bonita is the owner and also conducted my lymphatic drainage session. Not only was she amazing at the entire process, but talking to her was effortless, and while i was encouraged to relax and even sleep (yes moms! A nap too!) Conversing with her was so effortless that i feel like i had not only a lymphatic drainage but a therapy session! It felt like i was talking with an old friend i hadn't seen in a while. She also explained EVERYTHING she was doing as she was doing it, which is a huge deal to me, because i get anxiety when i can't see what's happening to my body, so i love when anyone (lash technician, dentist, etc...) explain what's they are doing as it's happening so i can envision in my mind. She was so great at that! Hilda was my colon hydrotherapist and she was AMAZING as well! I'm serious, they put so much thought and effort into finding the best people to be staffed here. Considering this was also my first time doing a colon cleanse, i had no idea what to expect. She patiently walked me through every step and paid super close attention to my body ques to make sure the procedure went smoothly. For a procedure that requires sticking something in Your anus, it can be met with some apprehension. I have had enemas before, so the insertion felt similar. During the hydrotherapy, it requires filling the bowels and lower intestines. This accompanies a brief mild cramping similar to the feel youd get before having diarrhea. She instructed me to breathe and the sensation passed. She was incredibly intune with my body, as your body fills, you are the one to motion when you feel you are at your limit, i felt like each time i was ready to signal, she was one step ahead already. She would massage the outer area (lower stomach) to loosen the fecal matter off the walls, she worked miracles. Not only did SO much get removed during the session, but immediately after the session TONS more came out in the bathroom and i have been flushing out more even today, i can see in my BMs that it's still removing more waste that looks exactly like what i saw yesterday in The machine. I also feel a thousand lbs lighter! My only suggestion is to have the machine higher on the wall cuz I'm a freak and want to see what comes out! I kept trying to peak around hilda and see when it was getting flushed, she even got an extra towel to roll under my neck since i kept lifting my head to look. So disappointed with this place, they turned me away for being 20 minutes late after driving over an hour to get to them in traffic. I made sure to communicate that I was running late and was in traffic, she assured me that it was ok and to drive safe. I have been getting colonics regularly in Chicago and various places in the Valley since the pandemic started due to stress. Bonnie, who took care of me today was the worst I have had yet. She wasted 10 minutes talking and then massaging my legs and my feet and my stomach. The manner in which she massaged my stomach made no sense to me. Then, all she cared about during my session is the amount of water left in the machine. I was not doing well, yet every time she came in, she said I was doing excellent. It felt like she really didn't see me as a client, but just a number. She went through her rote routine and it didn't matter what I said. She then predicted what would happen after I was off the machine, and she was absolutely wrong. I asked at the front desk why I felt like I was being rushed. I was told it takes her 1/2 hour to clean the room. I am a registered nurse. Unless she scrubbed the floors and the ceiling, I can not imagine how it took 1/2 hour to clean that area, especially since I wore covers over my shoes. Their attitude was very arrogant when I went up to complain. I have had about 5 other colonics there and did not have any issues. Then, later, I noticed I was charged for another session when I had another one left on a package I bought. I had to be insistent that I did not have 3 sessions between May 20 and May 25. So, watch out for that. I was going over my bank statement for another reason and I found this "mistake". I was told it was the computer's fault. Until today, I have not had a problem. But at $110 a pop, I deserve to be treated in a professional manner. One other thing is that sometimes I have to wait at the desk 10 minutes or more to check out because the receptionist is somewhere else. read more
