I've been coming to Dr. Sosinski of IMG since 1983 when I moved to Lawrence. He's served me so well over this time. As a family practitioner he strikes me as an exceptionally intelligent physician that listens well, has few words, but is compassionate and caring for his patients. About ten years ago they moved to a new facility and it's state of the art and includes its own pharmacy plus offices for several other physicians that are part of the group. Most of them have also been with the firm well over 20 years. I haven't always had great experiences with the medical community, but this physician and this organization are an exception.

He tried to opt out of seeing me from the moment he laid eyes on me because supposedly I was out of town. When do doctors not want to see patients simply because they do not live in their city but 20 miles away and this was only one of many excuses. He neglected to give me any meds for an ear infection he diagnosed after comparing both my ears. He did not ask to see my diabetic feet even though I told him about a sore on my toe. He did not want to look at the problems with my back, legs, or neck. And I was diagnosed from the hospital with decaying of the 6th vertebra of which he was informed. Is there anything this doctor does want to treat? I will do him a huge favor and look for a better doctor who will be happy to have my business.

I originally…read morewent to Tallgrass Clinic on Monday and was told it was just a lingering cough and prescribed a cough suppressant guaranteed to "kill my cough" in a few days. Fast-forward to Friday where I'm still coughing, in fact, my cough seems worse again! I'd really been feeling like the NP at Tallgrass was wrong so I sought a second opinion and tried Cotton O'Neill ExpressCare at my husband's recommendation. The MD I got was really personable and listened to me and asked me lots of questions about my symptoms and experiences. She listened to my breathing and felt she could hear something strange, so had me go get chest x-rays in the clinic. The radiologist examined the x-rays which were normal, but her gut was telling her something more was wrong. She treated me as having bronchitis and prescribed an antibiotic (given all the hubbub with antibiotics being over prescribed, this clinic even issued a statement saying they'll only prescribe it if absolutely necessary). She also prescribed an optional cough suppressant since the other one did nothing for me. I can now say a day later, I'm feeling better already! The MD was clearly right and I'm very grateful for her knowledge and expertise! I will definitely go to this place for all my urgent minor medical needs!

She is absolutely phenomenal... she always has time to talk, listens to all of my concerns (whether they are realistic or not), provides me with literature so I can make the best decisions for my personal health, and is just a genuinely warm and funny person. She is also one of the growing number of OBGYNs who will agree to the IUD for single women without children, which is awesome. If a little Emily P. ever comes into the world, Dr. Mercado would be my number one choice for an obstetrician. The facility is really nice, located inside the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Parking is always abundant in the lot outside, and I believe they have valet for expectant mothers. The support staff is wonderful as well.

I kind of took that as a slap in the face. And now it's been almost 2 months later and I still have not heard anything from them I'm still not pregnant.
