Also, there is one resident that has been harassing my Mom's CNAs in the dining room and in the parking lot without any intervention by the staff or administration. Today my mother waited one and a half hours for her meal to be served to her table , even though she was one of the 1st people seated in the dining room. They treat her like she is their family member, not just a resident at the property they work at. During COVID, it is especially hard as we are not able to visit on a regular basis and do the things we typically would for her however the staff is always there to assist us in whatever we need. During this disturbing time they have provided my mother and the other residents with a safe and healthy environment and adhere to all the health guidelines. Several occasions they lost our family members medications and spent days trying to locate them while she was left without her diabetic monitors among other crucial medications. And you will be charged a ridiculous amount for a "care plan" and within weeks to months they will do another assessment without any communication and double the monthly care plan, this is how they make their money. Charging lower rent and ridiculous amounts for "care plans" that are bogus and unwarranted. AND, they won't even do the additional items they claim they need assistance with like showering and dressing. and God help your loved one if they push the "panic button" they are given to wear around their neck because they have an emergency, the staff is not coming to help at any type of pace that would be acceptable in a true emergency. I could go on forever about the unscrupulous practices happening in the place. The management team, accounting and care team will not respond to emails and will hide from you in their offices. Absolute incompetence. Stay away, so many other great options in this area of town.

The floor is like fly paper, they do the laundry, but never even turned the clothes right side out and just stuff them in the drawers, and they have one supervisor that they rely on for seven days a week 24 hours a day. That is an impossible job for anyone and they're too cheap to find extra help. There is very little mental stimulation for the people in memory care. I think it's all about the money and they hope the memory care people don't remember any details to report to their family. The staff doesn't even notice a guest walking in at times. All of them are over in the corner, looking at their telephones. I had walked in more than once to find my family member lying on a bed directly on the plastic! No sheets, no blankets no nothing. We also had numerous pieces of jewelry come up missing from the memory care unit. Granted, we shouldn't have had anything expensive there, but still you like to trust the staff.. Say no to their memory if you love the person you're looking to place there!

TCW has met the challenges head on, and has been proactive in all areas where needed to continue to keep the residents safe and healthy. From delivering meals directly to each resident, ensuring to screen residents for infection, monitoring and cleanliness, following state mandated guidelines, coordinating that all residents are vaccinated and working daily to keep each resident engaged in the community during a global pandemic, I applaud the staff. There are so.many outstanding and dedicated staff members that have gone above and beyond to ensure the residents quality of life is the best that it can be. In a pandemic, that is no small feat! TCW is a beautiful facility, filled with caring residents. My mother loves this community, the activities, the staff, her lovely apartment and her friends. This was the best thing I could have done, and the the best place for her. The "feel" at Ivy Hall is like a large family. Staff delivers services with warmth and care. The difference in my mother is striking. My out of state children saw a recent picture and exclaimed "she looks 10 years younger than she looked in April". That's what being in the right place can do for our elderly loved ones.
