My sister had been there for years!! Service and care were wonderful. Then they were bought by a different facility!! The care went down hill. Staff was leaving, front management left. Care went down hill fast!! All of the original residents were pulled and went somewhere else!! Now I know why!!! My sister started to deteriorate rapidly!! I pulled her out on an Emergency basis and moved her. She is now much better and getting the care she needs! I would NOT recommend his place at all read more

The quality of care has gone down hill in the last year under new Mgmt Darlene Sanders. caretakers being fired or left cause she was screaming at them to get them to work. this took its toll on the residents there. Many have moved out or passed. workers there just don't care. Now new company has bought five star living out. and it's gotten even worse, which i didn't think was possible. place has bedbugs and they are not calling in a professional company to get rid of them. washers are not hot enough to kill them and the dryers are on their way out. new Director was fired from The Landings a mth ago and they hired her here. why would you hire Dr Glory when she was fired from another assisted living place. They are hiring all the old staff who was fired under Darlene, I mean they were fired for a reason. Do not bring your love ones here if you care about their well being. They are a total mess here from mgmt to the lazzzyy and uncaring staff!!! read more

From the moment you enter the doors, you are always welcomed with a smile and feeling of being home sweet home. The staff are all very friendly and truly have a passion in providing excellent care for their residents. It's evident their residents aren't just someone living there but instead are an extension of their family. As you walk through the community, you will see residents socializing, staff interacting with residents and lots of activities planned each day! They have numerous outings as well which is so important for socialization. In BTR (memory care), the residents are always doing crafts, activities and spending time together in the common area. We recently visited my distance relative last week and it was such a delight. Everyone from the residents to the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were invited to stay for lunch from the manager but we had to politely decline due to time. My love one absolutely adores everyone and its very reassuring that she's taken care of. So thankful I found this community so close to my home. My mom is 94 and has dementia. It was a tough decision to trust a facility with her care. Cameron Hall of Canton has a superior medical and support staff. They truly work together as a team to help the residents have a great experience. They have given my mom a better life than I thought possible at this stage of illness. Very blessed to have found them. read more

It has taken me months to be able to sit and write this review as I am dreading reliving the horrors I experienced after moving my grandmother into Cameron Hall of Canton. I apologize if it could have helped someone sooner. After losing her only 2 sons, and caregivers, within a year I had to move my sweet 92 yo grandmother into an assisted living. I spent a lot of time researching homes in the area as I wanted her close by. Cameron Hall seemed like a great place and very close to me. She moved in the beginning of February, mobile and in pretty good spirits. Our biggest issue was getting her to eat sufficiently. The first 3 weeks seemed to go OK. There were issues with her getting her meds on time and such but nothing serious and nothing I couldn't handle by just running up there. Towards the end of February, she hurt her back trying to help a wheelchair bound woman get her wheelchair unstuck. Everything went downhill quickly from here. Now she bed ridden and in constant pain. At this point I had never received a call from Cameron Hall telling me that she hurt her back. My grandmother and the members of her hospice were the only one contacting me to let me know what was going on. Even though Cameron Hall is being PAID for this service. She was eating much less than before and I counted on the staff to try to entice her to eat. At the very minimum to let me know that she wasn't. But I still had never heard from Cameron Hall. Come March, corona-virus has set in and the facility is locking down. On March 9 she called to tell me that she had horrible back pain and wasn't getting any relief. The med staff told me that they couldn't give her her morphine due to policies but, due to Covid, I wasn't supposed to go in the building. After raising cane, they let me get in to give her her morphine. I blew her a kiss and told her how much I loved her. I couldn't hug or kiss her and this would be the last time I saw her alive. I contacted the Manager of Resident care and expressed my concerns. At first I was given all sorts of excuses and eventually was told they COULD in fact give her the morphine and I was promised that she would be taken care of and that this would not happen again. On March 14th she called at 11:30am to tell me that she hadn't gotten ANY of her morning meds, much less pain meds. 11:30!!!!!!! This should have happened around 8am. She was in tears and obviously bad pain. I spoke with a med tech who told me that she was the only med-tech on staff at the time and she was trying to take care of other residents who had fallen and had to go to the hospital. Yes, I am serious... she said that. After this I was ready to bring her to my house or move her but due to Covid, my options were not many. I contacted the Resident Care Manager again. She apologized and told me that the med-tech shouldn't have told me that and she would get this resolved. I didn't have any faith at this point and was counting on her hospice, who I was NOT paying thousands a month to help me ensure she was taken care of. There were a handful of other incidents over the next 10 days. Keep in mind I still have NEVER received a call from Cameron Hall to tell me anything. On March 24th she called me about 11am, still bed ridden with severe back pain and now sick to her stomach. She said she couldn't stop throwing up. Imagine the pain for a 90lb 92 yo woman with back pain... She said the nurse had told her over an hour ago that she would be back with meds but never came back. She was crying and sounded so very weak. (This is so hard to write) I called and asked AGAIN why and was told they were going to investigate and get her taken care of. I tried calling my grandmother back many times between that call and 5pm. I also thought I would hear from Cameron Hall to let me know what was going on. I tried calling them back but couldn't get anyone to answer there either. At 5pm, her hospice team, NOT Cameron Hall called to tell me that she had passed. I NEVER received a call from Cameron Hall about her care read more

I wish their employee turnover was less. It feels as soon as you get to know the staff, they move on to another opportunity. I think they need to take better care of them by paying them a bit more, so they can hang on to them. Food is very good. The rolls are great! read more

Cameron Hall is one of the original Assisted Living communities in the Canton area; they have a very good reputation in the community. They are corporately owned now as of 2013, which seems not to have effected their small-town, homey feel when you visit. The staff is amazing, everyone is willing to assist and/or help. Cameron Hall is a bit older but with new ownership, decor upgrades are expected; for the age of the community, it seems to have been well taken care of. The staff and feel of the community can compete with any brand new community out there because you just get a "special" feeling when you visit Cameron Hall. You get the feeling that they really care for your loved one as they would their own. read more

I toured several facilities in Canton, GA and decided to go with Cameron Hall of Canton and the "memory" unit they have there. Irene Mullin, the business director of Cameron Hall was very kind, supportive and knowledgeable while leading my wife and I through the process of finding a new facility. The staff members at Cameron Hall are genuinely kind and caring not only to your loved one who needs the care but also to the rest of the family during a very trying and emotional time. read more

The time finally arrived when both my parents needed to be in assisted living. A family friend recommended Cameron Hall, which made Cameron Hall first on our list. After visiting several other facilities and reviewing the cost and service, it just confirmed our choice. Since moving into Cameron Hall, both of my parents have made wonderful improvements. The consistency in medication, proper meals, and amazing care, just confirms that our family made the right decision. My Mom tells everyone, "It is like being on vacation all the time." My Mother is approaching her first year anniversary as a resident at Cameron Hall. I believe she is receiving outstanding care at this facility. All of her physical, social, and emotional needs are being met in a clean, well-maintained, and nurturing environment. She has services 24/7 by an exceptional team of knowledgeable, friendly, and caring individuals who show her love and respect. Every employee in the facility knows Mother by name and has spent individual time with her! Our mother has been a resident of Cameron Hall since Sept. Our family chose Cameron over all of the other options because of the family atmosphere. Everyone was so very kind and helpful to us, and this has continued since Mom arrived. We found other facilities to have a "corporate atmosphere" that was not what we wanted. Although Mom is somewhat shy, they have her joining in on activities and outings, and even manicures and beauty shop visits! I have yet to encounter an employee who is not kind and friendly.
