The opening of Bang Cookies somehow put me into a cookie mood--I want to try all the famous cookies near me, so I made my husband drive me to Insonmia Cookies tonight. The Conshohocken location is not easily accessible--it's either street parking or you may park in the nearby garage if you're lucky enough to find a spot. Cookies are of decent quality--we got one classic and one deluxe, both of which came out warm. Price-wise, Insomnia seems more affordable than both Crumbl and Bang. Size-wise, the classic is quite small while deluxe is comparable to Crumbl and Bang. What makes Insomnia Cookies interesting is its name and super late closing time. Personally, I also give it some nostalgic credits--the name "insomnia" reminds me of the Insomnia coffee shops I frequented in Ireland. read more

Came in at 11:15 to grab icecream. Said hello, no response and was greeted with the employee basically snapping out saying there are limited cookies and he's not scooping icecream since he just cleaned everything. A whole 40 minutes before closing and an attitude. Names Girard and is a terrible employee, won't be coming back here! read more

10/10/19 Update: I'm not changing my rating since this is the first time this has happened. I went in this afternoon to make a purchase. The lady at the counter was completely inattentive. I walked in and she was on the phone. She put it down to ask me what I wanted then phone back to the ear. She didn't ask for my card. She just stuck her hand out. Still on the phone. Put the receipt on my box and quickly turned around to go back to the kitchen still on the phone. I yelled out "THANK YOU"! Didn't hear me so I loudly welcomed myself! Now I see why some reviewers have written that customer service is awful. I guess I've been lucky. I normally would not even bother but it was so rude. read more

Probably worst order experience I have ever had. Somebody sent us a gift of cookies for having a baby. Left it on front step in 105 degrees. Cookies covered in ants and melted. We called to get replacement and asked to knock. They redelivered the cookies with a highlighted note to knock on door. Once again they left it outside to melt and be covered by ants. 24 cookies in the trash. Customer service hung up on us when we showed our frustration. read more

Disclaimer: I 100% recommend visiting Insomnia Cookie and purchasing the products. The cookies are delicious let's face it. However, I would avoid this location, particularly with ordering online. I have attempted to order 2 times. Both times were for work purposes. The first time it was late. I made my second attempt Sunday, where I put in an order to be delivered Monday at 1:00pm. At 1:30, they called and said they couldn't deliver to me. Issues with drivers. I asked if it could be delivered the next day (Tuesday), and they agreed, but now they are saying that once again they are unable to deliver. It was frustrating because the staff at the location weren't very nice about it, rather indifferent and I could see how it would come off as rude. Customer service wasn't too helpful until I was escalated to the supervisor. He was very kind and apologetic and I think he is going to look into the issue in more detail. In conclusion, yikes. Try not to order online, or if you are able to go to a different location, I would. read more

This place is great if you want zero customer service, a confusing app to place your order on, and are willing to wait two hours for delivery. I literally could have preheated my oven, mixed up my own tollhouse cookies and baked them faster than this. Cookies are fine, but overpriced and not worth the hype. I almost fell asleep waiting for delivery. Good thing I was watching Cobra Kai. read more

Ordered dozen cookies at 12:00 noon for delivery at 4:00 pm. Called at 5:00 and they said they were looking for delivery person but should be there within 20 minutes. Called again at 5:30 to see if on way, she said 20 minutes again. Called at 6:15 she said 20 minutes again. Asked if I could come pick them up since 7 blocks away. Went to get them...when I got home discovered 10 cookies instead of 12 then looked at receipt and she gave me someone else's cookies. And then the cookies were NOT even warm! They should take money for their yummie cookies. But they take credit only. Their is one problem with this. People are afraid of identity theft in their numbers being stolen from their credit cards or their debit cards. Why don't they use money I have no idea I should have a little courtesy for people who are afraid of identity theft and it is really big problem at this time of the year. Their services are great. Their food is great letter credit is to be desired. It should be money or credit or people who are afraid of their eternity being stolen. So if I had to give them a score, I would have given them a five score rating but they lost one due to not accepting money to pay for the product. So now this is why they are losing appoint. And she licked her fingers right in front of me while getting the ice cream and threw the excess ice cream off her fingers back into the ice cream!!! Yikes, take a look at this disaster of a cookie cake and decide for yourself if you want to give this place your business. 25 bucks for this thing, and there's probably 8-10% missing. On top of it all, it wasn't even made to our order. Ordered at noon for a 4pm pickup, and waited outside the place for 30 minutes because it wasn't ready. My guess is, from other reviews, that the place is so poorly run that they forgot to make it, and started to make it when we arrived. Sloppily thrown together, wrong ingredients, long wait. Emailed her pictures and she reply with a sorry and they were going to send more. That was on 8/18/19 still never received anything. Had the BEST time today at the Conshohocken location of Insomnia Cookies!!! Got the S'mores Jumbo cookie; my first time here and will not be the last! The cookie was actually warm and ooey and gooey! The only way to eat cookies!!! Had a great time with Ashley, the manager, as well as Theressa and Kevin! Everyone was SO fantastic!!! A lot of hype when this place first opened up, but on first visit it was definitely a disappointment. Not only is the design of the location poor to unnecessarily cause people to have to wait outside (if there are 4-5 people ahead of you), but the staff is rather rude, and the pricing for the quality of cookie is high. I guess it's a nice to have type of place for the locals who don't want to travel far to satisfy a sweet tooth, but definitely not a place to rave about. read more

Seriously way over rated and definitely OVERPRICED! The cookie was mostly over cooked with s small middle that was soft. Waited over 5 min for my $7.35 ice cream sandwich which only had one cookie??? Whatever so annoyed I just wanted to leave. At one point there was 6 people standing around in the kitchen but nobody came to help me since the person in front of me was buying a box full of mediocre cookies that needed to separated into several boxes for different people. My advice just go buy Pepridge Farm cookies at the market they are better and cheaper! read more

My friend was going to order 4 scoops but ended up going with 3 after seeing how much ice cream they packed in. Just a note: as you go up in scoop count, they reduce the size of each one a bit to make it all fit, which is understandable, but good to know ahead of time. Flavor-wise, it's the usual Kilwins lineup, solid, classic options like Toasted Coconut, Salted Caramel, etc. Nothing too unexpected if you're familiar with the brand, but still delicious. The store was very busy when we visited, and while the staff was kind, respectful, and patient, the space itself could've used more attention. Not the cleanest vibe, which took a bit away from the experience. One downside compared to other Kilwins I've been to: they didn't accept the Kilwins loyalty card here. That was a bummer since other franchise locations do honor it, and it's disappointing when you assume it'll be valid across the board. That said, the team here was happy to offer samples (which some Kilwins have stopped doing), and they moved the line efficiently even during a rush. Overall, it was a satisfying stop -- especially if you're in the mood for a big, indulgent scoop -- and I'd come back again when the craving hits.
