Got two chocolate chunk cookies on 03/19/26 around 9:15 pm, one of two places still open at town center by the strip. Good cookie selection for also focusing on ice cream and their portion sizes are decent for the price. Staff were very friendly! Definitely a place you'd go in and out, but they do have limited seating if you want to sit inside. Most people use the seating area outside in between moe's and the mediterranean place. There's two entrances so you don't have to walk around trying to find where to go, which is super helpful! No public restroom, so plan accordingly! read more

I went in a spent 39 dollars for my wife and 2 daughters. I gave the woman who helped us on our order a 100 dollar bill. The manager or some guy came over and said "we don't take 100 dollar bills in a very nasty tone as if I was doing something wrong. The girl said well we're only giving back 60 and he said in the same nasty tone "we don't take 100 dollar bills". There was no sign saying they did not take 100 dollar bills and he did not give me a reason or explain why he just barked at me as if I was the bad guy. Absolutely outrageous! See you later! When we arrived it was not crowded as usual. The cashier was nice. We ordered and left. Once I got home I realized I was missing a cookie and my son had to go back. The usual cookies were great. Warm and soft. I'm not even sure what that strawberry lemonade cookie was but it is disgusting. It had no real flavor except the tartness of the lemonade. I gave it a two star because they are always messing up my order. I would suggest more workers but I am not sure if that is the solution. The cookies are delicious. Well the s'more one is anyway. The giant gooey marshmallow chunks in the cookie, the soft chewy-ness, and the chocolate-y chunks within...all combine to one yummy treat! I have no complaints on my cookie, and the service was quick and polite. My only issue, which seems to be more personal and superficial than anything else, is that I expected to walk in and see a cookie jar (cabinet) of displaying the cookies available versus having to ask or be told what they have and don't have in stock. I understand there might be a high load of orders from college students BUT I chose to get my cookies and ice cream delivered. I ordered at 9:10pm on a Thursday. It took THREE HOURS and some change to get my cookies and ice cream. This is absolutely ridiculous. There's is no excuse as to why it took 3 hrs for my 6 cookies and a pint of ice cream to be delivered. And when my cookies arrived they were cold and pretty hard. I would rate this place a zero if I was able. Their customer service is terrible. You have a local store with no way to contact it, really? There is a website and 800 number so you can talk tomorrow someone in a different state. It's awesome when trying arrange a cookie delivery for my University of Alabama student to be told over the phone that they do not have a location near there; it's on University Blvd! Then I was told that it probably wasn't showing on their screen because they may be short delivery drivers or already have a full schedule. I can understand not being able to commit to another delivery today, but to tell me you don't have a location near there. Pitiful service. Cookies bought in store were delicious. Ordering online is a money pit because you order and NEVER GET YOUR COOKIES. I called and without even checking my order number, a guy told me that my order was on its way. I asked, and he finally checked the order number, then asked me if I had placed 2 orders...which I hadn't. He stated they would call me back. Still no cookies and no return call. Advertising to deliver cookies until 3 AM, I ordered 6 cookies at 1:45 AM, which also included 3 cookies that come free with delivery. It was not until it passed 3 AM that I got concerned. After calling insomnia cookie's customer service to check on my order status (the local number for insomnia cookies Tuscaloosa is not listed online), they confirmed that my cookies were still scheduled for delivery. Around 3:30 AM my cookies finally arrive and the only way that I can describe them is "wet". The cookies were undercooked and melted on top of each other, forcing me to eat them with a fork. First and last time customer here. Great food, EXTREMELY piss poor customer service. As one who works in service, this place needs lots of work. Management really needs to come in here and make some serious changes. First off, the cashier said absolutely nothing when he approached the register and instead visibly expressed complacency . I had to initiate the greeting and conversation. I initiated it with a polite, "Hey, hows it going?" With it being my first time, though, I had no idea what to order. This brings me to my second point. The signage is very poor. There were no pictures of the food items anywhere so I didn't know what anything was. When I asked for the "cookiewich," the cashier mumbled, "Which one?" Which one what? I mean, obviously I could guess that it involved ice cream and a cookie, but I didn't know the ins and outs of how to go about ordering. He failed to explain to me the differences between a "cookiewich" and a "cookiewich deluxe." Once I had figured out the actual design of the item after searching through my phone for a picture to show to the obviously impatient cashier, I found out they only had 2 choices of cookies available out of what seemed like at least 14, based on the example tray. This all happened at around 11pm and they are "open until 3 am." So if anyone reading this chooses to go there, just know that their product is awesome! Very tasty, and well worth the price! Their employees, however, will ruin the experience with what seems like a lack of proper training on how to interact with customers and walk them through the process, regardless of whether it's their first visit or their 112th! What might seem like common customer service sense isn't common at all. I cannot justify going back and having to learn what to order through trial and error. read more

We placed an order 4 days in advance for cookies to be delivered less than a mile away for my son's birthday and tipped 25% in advance. They were supposed to be delivered between 2:00-2:10. At 2:35, when we hadn't received the delivery, we called Insomnia to check on them. The girl was nice, but said that Grub Hub hadn't even picked them up. Will not be using them next year. read more

Cookies and ice cream are great. The service is absolutely terrible. I have never received an order in less than an hour and a half. When I have tried to check the status of my orders, it always says the cookies are baking, and when I have tried to call the store, I have been directed to a corporate office. Even when I have gone into the store, there were 4 people in line ahead of me, and it took over 30 minutes. The best way I could describe my experience with Insomnia Cookies would be to reference the five stages of grief. Stage 1: Denial As my friend and I started our first girls night in of spring semester one rainy Sunday evening, we decided to order cookies to help us get through the most recent Bachelor episode. Our order was placed at exactly 7:39 pm. With the order tracker site pulled up, we anxiously kept one eye on the laptop screen as the other watched Corinne alternately flash all of America and fall sleep snoring. During commercials we spoke emotionally of how hungry we were, and how amazing the cookies were sure to be. We were so young - so hopeful - so naive. Stage 2: Anger After an hour had passed and the screen still smugly stated that the cookies were "baking", we began to spiral into despair. We prefaced our exclamations of "How could they take THIS long?" and "I'm PMSing right now; this is NOT okay" with low growls. At this point, my friend decided to call the customer help line. Stage 3: Bargaining After 15 minutes on hold, my friend was greeted by an employee in a remote location. He was polite but oddly enough would repeat her information back to her in the form of a whimsical song. Though eccentric, this was nonetheless a pleasant distraction from our hunger. After another 10 minutes, we finally managed to extract the information that our cookies were "on the way and would arrive 'eventually' ". Stage 4: Depression It was now 9:30 pm. With no hope of cookies on the horizon, my friend and I entered a fugue state of deep depression. Stage 5: Acceptance 2 and a half hours after ordering, we had finally accepted that our cookies would never arrive. The rose ceremony was long over, so we decided to drive to the store through the rain and get our cookie fix in person. Just as we reached the back door, the phone rang. It was the delivery driver calling to say he was pulling up in front of the house. Exhausted from the emotional ordeal, we finally were able to enjoy our cookies. If it were solely based on taste, Insomnia would have received 5 stars from us. Unfortunately, as we ate our delicious cookies all we could taste were the memories of distress from the emotional roller coaster of a night. Despite the sugar rush, I immediately went home and fell asleep, tired and disappointed to have spent $12 and waited 2.5 hours for two lukewarm cookies and a spoonful of melty vanilla ice cream. read more
