Not to be confused with Insolvency Cookies, which is a business that refuses to go bankrupt despite the fact that nobody buys their cookies. Insomnia Cookies is a pretty excellent franchise and I'm a fan. I support them fully and I think they're nice and cheap and great for college kids - even though they're full of calories and not good for you at all obviously. This is a pretty cool location in Vestal, a burb to the West of Chandler Binghamton, or Carmella Binghamton if you're me and Barbie - in the same plaza where so many other great things are available for college kids and sh**. Putting it in this plaza is good cuz a lot of college kids come here to this Plaza anyway, so it makes perfect sense. It's not the best location I've been to - but the chocolate chip cookies are hot (like my gf) (and me) and it's open late so what more do you need. read more

ABSOLUTELY overpriced. Dry. Stale. Equal to a grocery store "bakery" cookies, but even less fresh. Will NOT order again. You can get the same cookies for MUCH less at Weis or Walmart bakery, or even Wegmans has fresher and cheaper cookies. The cookies tasted like they were 2-3 days old. Cost over $30 for a 12-pack and I'm 100% disappointed. Go to Gabriella's Cakes & Co for MUCH better cookies. read more

I'm not sure what all the hype is about. They are just cookies. I ordered for a 12:15 PM delivery, however, I did not receive my cookies until nearly 7:00 PM. The cookies were warm, but it was obvious they had been sitting in the box for a while. They were all wilted. The sugar cookies were good. I didn't like the snickerdoodle. The chocolate chip cookies were OK as well. Although I enjoyed the cookies, I won't be spending any more money there. I can make the exact same cookies at home for a lot less. read more

Ordered Chocolate Chip, Walnut Oatmeal Cookie. It was crumbly, salty sweet and not in a good way. I thought this would be a hit out of ball park w/ a warm cookie and cup of coffee. Probably won't revisit this shop. Visualized a decadent pop of flavor that turned out to be a bust. read more

So despite my best efforts at changing my mindset to "no dessert" , I caved. Many times when I lived in SF Bay Area, I would have same hankering and every time there was no option - no real baked goods delivery for the late evening. So now, relocated back to Binghamton, I got the urge - couldn't control it, was aghast at paying $3.99 delivery fee, and ordered 6 cookies to be delivered to my house. And honestly,... I expected mediocre cookies and a later delivery than estimated - expectations were low and I was mad at myself for spending $18 on 6 cookies... Oh boy, was I wrong. Delivery was on time. Cookies were dense and delicious (but not cakey bricks). And they were - I kid you not - perfectly warm and wonderful. I ate 3 - and loved every different flavor - and think for the quality and freshness - $9 is really not that bad for an exceptional dessert delivered to my door. I said, in my first post, that I acknowledged the low review Insomia's received overall. It wasn't just to post a review showing support for them based on my experience but also to hint that I wouldn't have a problem hopping back on yelp to support those who gave the near-mediocre at best rating (I just didn't want to be all "...., but I'm happy to leave this up here...for now" with some snarky hashtag like, #EyesOnYouBoo, 'cause that's mean, right? Right.). Our order - which was placed with an irreversible tip about an hour before we wanted them - should've been delivered about 12 minutes ago. We called 5 minutes before they were due to arrive to learn why the online tracker status was still on "baking" and were placed on hold while the call rep contacted to local store. We were told in all "transparency" that Insomnia Vestal was waiting on a driver to pick up and deliver our cookies and that the online tracking tool was "unreliable". This place needs to train its employees ordered the "monster sundae" and the girl told us she never made one before and then come to find out we never got toppings that we paid for. $7 for a tiny amount of ice cream and was nothing special. Probably won't be returning. read more

Ordered online which was fairly easy. Had them delivered. Delivery fee was very reasonable. Cookies arrived much quicker than I thought they would! Delivery person was nice and very courteous. Ordered the new vegan cookies. There were larger than I thought they would be. Cold they were alittle stiffer than a reg cookie but I'm sure if I microwaved them they would soften. There reg cookies were warm and smelled delicious! I would highly recommend them ! I'm so glad they delivered as I couldn't go get them. I will order again. read more

The worker was eating food in front of the store and when I asked for cookies they were out of certain kinds this is what I call lazy. Ordered maybe 15 minutes ago with friends. We got a box of 12 cookies. Split the price and for two high quality cookies $4.83 wasn't bad. They arrived warm and super quick (then again were right in Binghamton not very far from the shop itself.) all in all I'd say this was a good delivery late night experience. 10/10 recommend if you're having a night in with a group of people read more

First time we ordered we spent $50.00, tried the various cookie flavors and 3 ice cream flavors. Everyone hated the chocolate, chocolate chunk cookies. A couple people, myself excluded, liked the snickerdoodle ones. Everyone liked the white choco macadamia cookies. The ice cream was really good. It goes without saying this place is WAY overpriced.The cookies are not large, and the amount of ice cream you get for the price is actually shameful. Why only one star? The second time we ordered we went for 3 macadamia cookie ala mode desserts. When the delivery man left we realized they only gave us one ice cream and no spoons. I called the number on the box and they sent the other ice creams over. They arrived quite a bit later. This time the ice cream was soupy, and not very flavorful. We were not impressed. I was told l'd receive a discount coupon for their errors with our order, with the delivery of our missing ice creams, to make up for their shorting us, and making us wait. However I never received one. That does not bode well for them. Customer service is clearly not a priority. The cookies this time were so under baked, they were gross. In a nutshell, Insomnia Cookies will keep you up at night wondering why you pissed your money away on crap. read more

this place is just alright... ok... average... nothing special but still pretty good (shout out to Ron M!). I haven't had delivery from them and I haven't had them late at night because I'm an adult who can drive and I like to sleep at reasonable hours. I got 3 cookies and the total was a little under $5. the cookies are basic, the only thing they really have going from them is that they're served warm. They're on the thinner side and they're a little crisp, they not thick and chewy like some cookies. I think I actually like the cookies at Subway better. I got a chocolate chunk cookie, a peanut butter one, and a white chip macadamia nut one. I think the white chip one was my favorite. I'd like to see a better selection. the white chip macadamia cookie was the only one I saw with nuts in it, they should have a chocolate chip walnut one! I went in expecting gourmet but that's not what I got, so my first impression was a letdown. the box they came in was kinda cute though. read more

When I ordered my cookies, the website said that there was a 60-75 minute wait, which I was ok with. At the 75 minute mark, the store called me to inform me that it would take up to 25 more minutes for my cookies to be delievered and offered me a coupon, which, again, I was ok with. But that 25 minutes passed and my cookies still weren't delievered. I had to wait a total of 3 hours (an hour longer than the extra 45 minutes the store called me about) for 5 cookies. I was glad that the cookies were stil warm when I recieved them but they were definitely not worth a three hour wait. I will probably not order their normal cookies again since they are small and nothing special. Their deluxe cookies, however, might be worth it if they weren't so overpriced.
