    Dog park

Dog Park had a couple benches to sit at and a drinking fountain but the dog one didn't work. Very minimal shade and no one picks up after their dogs. Lots of holes as well.

Great splash pad for those hot days

Great park to stop at if you're road tripping through Fresno. Huge play area that is fairly shaded. The splash pad is huge hit for those super hot days. Bathrooms are pretty clean and close by to the splash pad for changing clothes. There's a lot of space for bball games, and even a small skate park area.

    The park at night...ghost city!

Summer time in Fresno can be hot and parks can be quite a dangerous place in Fresno due to our high temps. However, I decided to take my young 3 year old niece here to go on the slides because she loves slides. This was our first time here at the park/recreational center. There is one park that is catered to 2 to 5 years olds. Then there is a big kid play area for older youth. This park has several basketball courts, a water play area for all kids to cool off, a recreational center and many more. My niece is three and loved everything the park had to offer. We did not go in the water area because we were not prepared to get her wet. There was a lot of families there, with babies and there is plenty to do with infants! They have infant swings, shaded areas and so much more! This is definitely a family friendly park for any day hot or cold! The day I went one little girl or big had a birthday party and the family treated all the kids to the local ice cream truck. I will be a regular at this park with my nieces when I am babysitting.

basketball courts. rims with nets. square backboard, height adjustable. full court with 3 point baselines.

This park is amazing. It has everything! If there was a high standard and example of a perfect park this might be it. So much going on its great. The city of Fresno did a wonderful job. They placed it somewhat in the center west end of the city so you have a mixed diversity of social classes and cultures. So much for the argument of people saying the city only caters to people north of Shaw. The design and features are so much to talk about, it's best to try to make the most of it by seeing pictures--which still dont do it justice. You really have to just go and check it out. They is a community center right in the middle. There are basketball courts, a skate park, a water play area, a HUGE playground, nice open fields, a separate swing area, an enclosed dog park, a cool looking hill with a telescope to see everything. Walkways and paths. A baseball field. A sensory garden. And a fitness playground. Areas to have a picnic and BBQ. I think that is most of it. The city used a lot of drought resistent lanscaping. Obviously not the actual open areas of grass, but the plant lanscaping and also the baseball field. It's not grass. It's entirely a composite field. It has fences and bleachers too. The basketball courts are nice! The ground surface is smooth, full court with 3 point baselines (some cheap out and dont have that little open section) it's pretty accurate but no NBA 3 point line. Just standard highschool/college 3 point outlined. The boards are square, the rims look reinforced and have nets. AND the hoops are all height adjustable. So if you have young kids this is very cool. I just hope these are heavy duty because I could see teens and adults abusing this and ruining them. The dog park is enclosed and fenced and very nice space for your dogs to run around. The playground itself is massive. So much to do for all ages. The ground in this area is the soft spongy bouncy feel to help with falls. They even have new playground machines I've never ever seen. There is this astroglider where it's a cart and you just use your weight to make it sway back and forth. Great for parents and little ones. Then they have this hydraulic type pole slide. It automatically comes back up, then there is a small platform so when the kid steps on it--slowly does it come down. So even younger kids can experience going down the pole like firefighters. This was very cool and unique. The play area is completely shaded. This still won't help in the summer when it hits 100+ but its nice that they thought of it. For during these hot days they have a water play area. I'm not sure when they decide to turn it on. It was off when I went, but its nice to see they have one. There is even a chalkboard area where kids can doodle. There is a skate park too but I didn't get a chance to see it. Park is very clean, and nicely thought out. Check out the website to see all the features http://www.inspirationpark.org/index.html The only problem though..... This park gets PACKED! So if you get intimidated by big crowds, get their early and leave before the crowd because it does and will get packed. You can see the lack of social media presence in the Fresno area. For how big the city is and how popular this park is, it opened several months ago in 2016 and this is only the 2nd review. I hope the citizens appreciate this park and take good care of it because it's a great thing for the city. YELP TIP.. the hours posted here on yelp is not always true. Hours change by season but yelp wont allow to add those, so as of this posting the hours are: Winter Hours: 7am to 7pm Summer Hours: 8am to 10 pm

    Gazebo

We love this park! So many activities to do and large gazebo for birthday parties. Basketball hoops are adjustable to accommodate the little ones! Fun splash park in the summer. This park is usually busy because it's one of the nicest and newest kids park in Fresno.

Ask the Community - Inspiration Park

Does it have an area to Skate?

    Yes

What time does the water area turns on? Is it on everyday?

No it does not, the city of fresno dictates the days during the year and time on when the water is turned on for the splash pads throughout the city of fresno. Check with the city. But generally its during the hot summer months only.

The park is about 1.5 acres and separated into large and small dog areas, which makes for a safe and stress-free environment. There's a small agility course to mix things up, plenty of shade for those sunny days, and a pool with beach entry that's a MUST for cooling off in the Fresno heat! It's membership-only ($20/month, month-to-month--super easy) and totally worth it. The park is gated and locked, and members receive a key card for secure access. It's always clean, well-maintained, and never overcrowded. There are restrooms on-site too, which is a nice bonus for us humans. Dogs need to be neutered (if over 6 months), pass a quick temperament test, and be up to date on vaccinations. There's also a minimum age requirement, so definitely check their website for the full vaccine list, age rules, and how to apply. This place has brought so much joy, exercise, and social time to all of my dogs over the years. If you're a Fresno dog parent, don't wait--join today!

If you haven't stopped by this park before, please note that parking fills up fast-especially on weekends and holidays-but it is worth it. Nestled in a residential area of central north Fresno, this park has something for everyone. If you want to throw a party, there is a sheltered picnic area that you can use. I highly recommend that you reserve the space through the City of Fresno, as it is often booked. There is an ADA accessible path, a water feature that meanders through the grounds and can be very refreshing in the hot Fresno summer. There is a sand play area, swings, see saw, climbing structure and a lovely park path that overlooks a ponding basin filled with fish, turtles and water birds. This particular basin has a small island with large trees that are often filled with white cranes and other birds. The park grounds offer quiet benches under shade trees to sit for a while, grassy gently sloping lawns that are great for frisbee or other family activities. This is also an amazing place to find a ton of baby geese in the spring....super cute! I've seen folks relaxing and flying kites here....playing ball, and just enjoying being off screen and outdoors. Check it out, if you haven't already!
