The park also have a climbing area and musical play area. Over time, i notice the 'Little Free Library' nook is there. It is full of all ages book. I love these little gems. It's so lovely to have these exchange things around this side of the town. Their is a cute little creek next to the park and trail. I just love how you can hear the water runs next to the park. It's a perfect place to sit, relax, and listen to the water flowing down. While watching kids playing on the jungle gym, people running/ biking or using the free accessible work out stations. The only CONS is that during certain time of the year, the ducks from the water basin next to the park will fly over and poop everywhere.

It also has a side of the canal. Clear water is running and it looks good. You can seat at the edge and enjoy the water. I didn't see any warnings saying not to go in it but maybe is not permitted. There are bathrooms too. They are not too bad. It was a nice stroll at this park. And we enjoyed our reading time on the shaded area.

We throughly enjoyed the super clean and lush grassy area. It offers plenty of space for our portable disc golf set up and some soccer. The playground area is fairly large with multiple slides and bridges connecting all of the monkey bars and play areas. During our visit, there was a large kids birthday party happening in one of the patios and they had plenty of space for corn hole, gifting table, and a piñata set up. Anywho, the dude and I come here before the Pandemic and I can tell you that traffic definitely increased when the pandemic occurred as we would not see many people. Anywho, the first time I came to this park which is just across the street from our living quarters. The first time Clovis PD was there removing the homeless camps. Behind Letterman park there is a beautiful canal that has a princess path to get to it and this is where we saw duck couples and followed the same duck couple until they had babies of their own and started to feed their family. The park has a skate park attached to it, grassy areas, play structures and seating. Over the 5 or 6 months we have been frequenting this park we have seen which the pandemic came through and they had to shut down the park by putting caution tap all around. We seen people camp out here, do exercise classes and homeless roaming which he didn't see a lot of that before the pandemic. We walk out there all hours of the day and night. We bring flash lights as it gets pretty dark. We have met a lot of amazing people like a woman for the past 17 years will come out and feed abandoned domestic cats which there are about 10 of them. A really cool homeless dude that gives us updates on our duck babies and action going on. Teens out late probably up to no good. Met a father of three who was a cool dude who was laid off due the pandemic and his kiddos were so adorable! We see Clovis PD in back of the park all the time! So this park gets A LOT of action. However since it's so close we come here A LOT and will continue to do pandemic or not!

We brought the kids bikes so they could ride the loop around the park and our croquet set; which we had no idea how play, lol. There's a small amphitheater, where I guess bands or speakers can set up for entertainment purposes. The bathrooms are very clean and the park itself is very well maintained. There are even lemon trees planted around the grounds that in the past have produced fruit! My middle sister and I would walk to school as Robinson Elementary is literally on the same field. It brings pleasant memories. Also, the fire station is on the same field as well so I have always felt safe here. I remember as I got older I would like to watch the firemen play soccer ;) . Or randomly watch the community play soccer or friends just hanging out kicking balls. But on 10/14/21 it was just me my self and I - just peacefully eating my lunch with the abundant of Squirrels scurrying around, reminiscing about my childhood and how it was nice just to be. Just to be with nature, the sounds, life, the laughter of children playing at the school and knowing that this place will always be special to me and is someone's childhood experiences with fond or unpleasant memories. All the walks I took here when I was happy, tired, sad, hurt or injured, the laughter with my little friends, the arguments my middle sister and I get into and cry, hug , laugh, play, the crushes we would try to walk with xD and racing peers by running with our heavy back packs on! Such good times. Walking home in the rain, getting chased by dogs, hopping the fence, seeing neighbors or strangers argue...these trees have all these memories and stand to this day retelling everyone's story. It's not Just a park to me but shaped me to appreciate the simple things in life, to grow and be the best person I can be. It reminds me to LIVE and appreciate life. I love coming here periodically and I have came here with the dude, my middle sister and would to take my nieces here. There are no slides, or no play ground, no water fun but trees, peace and calm. Good place to debrief from chaotic life and appreciate gods beauty.
