There were multiple rooms, all nicely decorated. Most focused on furniture, women's apparel, and gifts. Some rooms with products from other boutiques, one with bird baths and seed, and another with sale items. The employees seem to all be good friends and enjoy their job, which is refreshing to see. They host events, for instance, Christmas tree decorating. I think we arrived just after an event since they had drinks and snacks out. Once you get inside, it's a cute little shop with a variety of trinkets and homegoods. While they do have a couple of chairs and couch pieces, this place is more so for little knick knacks to place around the house. They also have some jewelry, cute socks and things of that sort. I appreciate the fact that they are requiring people to wear masks. And I can see myself returning to pick up a few decorative items. read more

I have lived in Raleigh for over 20 years at this point and never noticed Inspirations when it first popped up. With that said, when our favorite birdseed provider closed up her retail shop in North Raleigh she moved inside Inspirations, we had no choice but to go in there and grab it. BRILLIANT! I have to warn you-you will get sidetracked in the most glorious way. I have gotten so many fun, unique gifts there along with many things for myself. (One for you... two for me... two for you...three for me.) My youngest daughter is a teenager and this store has turned into her go-to store for gift-giving as well. Everyone loves her gifts bc they aren't "cookie'cutter" big box store kinds of gifts. There is a great variety of items (did I mention perfect for gifts?), from one-of-a-kind socks for dad, personalized tumblers, precious baby gifts, wedding or anniversary gifts, pampering aromatherapy shower bombs, North Carolina gifts for those out-of-state friends who just miss it back home, and all the way to beautiful furniture and decor to make your house a home. Very cute store. I have only been here twice but the manager or owner knows what he is doing! The set up of the store is very well done. The furniture is unique and special. My future mother in law has spent a decent amount of money here. He knows her by name and greets her once she walks in the door. They also have her number to update her on new items. From the outside, Inspirations does not look like anything special. I have driven by it many times and you probably have as well on the Furniture Row that is Glenwood Avenue. Inspirations is located next to where Fred's Beds used to be and inside, there are 11,000 square feet of space filled with all kinds of treasures from various vendors. There is a big emphasis on furniture and there are all kinds of tables, hutches, chairs, mirrors and decorative pieces in the main room. There are also little boutiques with soaps, jewelry, clothing, Lily Pulitzer coffee tumblers and much much more. If you are looking for unique furniture, definitely check this place out. I met the owner of House of Jewels and she was super friendly and had gorgeous urban farm pieces. Once they go, they go so the inventory changes constantly. I would highly recommend coming here for unique gifts because they have everything. Socks, soap bombs, jewelry, you name it. It is fun just to browse and get ideas as well. Follow them on instagram too because they keep the inventory up to date and that is how I found out about this neat shop. It reminds me a bit of the Cotton Exchange in Wake Forest with various vendors but more furniture here at Inspirations. read more

What a wonderful store this is! My mother in law is visiting and so I took her to this place knowing she loves checking out little trinkets and such. This store is much bigger than it looks, offering so many vendors as well as unique pieces of furniture. The price is very reasonable and we both had so much fun checking out all of the things! I absolutely LOVE this place!! They have all sorts of great gift items, locally made items, and fantastic furniture. I have bought some really unique gifts there and a dining room table. All of the staff are really friendly and shopping there is an experience in itself. About once a month they host a girls night out with appetizers and wine for free. It's fantastic to sip and shop. I drove an hour to go to this store. When I asked for the restroom they informed me they were closed because of Covid. They also stated that to let people use it they would have to clean it every half hour. I'm sorry you would be inconvenienced in any way so that I could shop and buy in your store. I know these are difficult times And we all have to do a little extra. If you can't open your restroom to the public you should close your store. I have shopped many stores and this is the first time I have heard this. Some even tell me they have just sanitized their restroom. Wow they don't mind doing a little extra. read more

Every time I go, I am inspired by the wide range of design styles, from modern to retro, farmhouse to vintage, plus huge surprises from vendors who sell unique jewelry, clothing, note cards -- truly, I know of no other place like it. I have been on the search for a unique chair for my desk at home as well as a dining set. This store is separated by so many different vendors. They have everything from clothing, candles, jewelry, and handbags. I was offered a mimosa was when I walked in so I slowly sipped as I walked through the store. I was so overwhelmed that I forgot what my main focus for visiting the store was. I did not see what I needed on this visit, but items are quickly sold.
