The place is huge! It is pretty well organized. There is furniture throughout. There is a section for bathtubs---beautiful old clawfoot bathtubs. Oh yes, there is a section of just clawfeet too! There are tons of old doors, windows, reclaimed wood, cabinets, hardware, and so much more. I could spend hours in that place. And don't worry, I will. It was pretty cold in there today and my partner in crime was being a baby so I had to dillydally and linger less than I wanted to. The prices as marked were highish, but they are probably negotiable. I've got my mind on several pieces so I will update when I go back.

Slate is definitely one of those stores. I stopped in on Christmas Eve just to browse around and I wish I could have bought everything in the place! It is a pretty hipster little store, and everything inside would be both useful to have in your home and serve as a conversation starter with guests. The items are unique, interesting, and high quality. There are kitchen gadgets, bar cart fixings, home decor items, greeting cards, jewelry...the list goes on. It's a great store and fits well with the Church Street aesthetic.

After comparing prices, we found that Burlington Furniture was quoting us $2,000 more than a California company, even with shipping and assembly included. Still, we wanted to support a local business, so we returned to Burlington Furniture, and they agreed to match the competitor's price. We were given an estimated delivery date of 4/30. When we followed up, we were surprised to hear that our furniture wouldn't arrive for nearly two more months. We understand that delays happen, but we were frustrated by the lack of communication. I called the manager to get clarity and was told that the employee who gave us that update was no longer with the company. She promised to follow up--which she did--but she didn't provide a new delivery timeline. Instead, she told us the order wasn't actually delayed and that deliveries typically arrive two weeks after the estimated date. It's unclear why the original estimate wouldn't account for that window, and what's worse, I never heard back from the manager again. Ultimately, the delivery company brought our furniture just five days after the estimated date, which we appreciated--but the poor communication and lack of accountability from Burlington Furniture left a bad impression. We're happy with the product, but extremely disappointed in the service. Sadly, this experience has cost Burlington Furniture a customer.

Incredibly well made furniture, each chair, table, bed, couch and desk were made beautifully! If I had the money for just one thing I would have splurged on a new bed, especially the one with the over head shelves! A girl can dream. The store is well designed with beautiful paintings and rugs, throws so soft I wanted to cuddle with it right there and then, the beds coordinating blankets seemed to compliment the wood and design of the bed in a fascinating way that made me wonder a little bit about home decor (another thing I love other than food!) All in all, this is a top notch maker of furniture, well made and beautiful! I will surely stop in again.

The Electronic hospital is refusing to come out and fix my 2 year old (4 year extended warranty)…read morewarrantied dryer, they state after 2 time looking at it that Electrolux doesnt pay them for warranty diagnosis. Then they now say my problem is I overloaded dryer, yet first visit they said it needed a pulley replaced, they did that and noise never went away. Now here is the real kicker, I bought at Bouchard Pierce as reputation was to stay away from Lowes or Home Depot, yet they want to charge me $160 service call to diagnose and fix warranty. When asked about charge they said I didnt buy extended warranty through them, that I bought it with Electrolux and they wont honor labor part of warranty and its up to Electrolux. Electrolux does not show Bouchard Pierce as a qualified repair shop for Electrolux in Vermont. What a circus.
