Now that I am in my final year at Middlebury, I have been convinced to hop onto the plant craze by my fellow First@Midd co-leaders, Alyssa and Itzel. They came here with me to buy plants because it's so close by (with a car) and there are so many options here. I guess another caveat to my prior situation is that I don't have a car nor did I have friends with consistent access to a car, not until this year that is. Now things have changed, and I have car-owner friends! The lady working here, Jeannie, is so sweet and helpful. She has two sons in college that also needed plants for their dorm rooms too. Relatable! She answered our questions so gracefully and humorously to boot. My questions included: "Which is the best plant for a new plant parent?" and "How much do I need to water this?" I'm kind of new to this plant parenting business, but also not really (I've killed too many indoor plants too many ways). I bought a spider aloe (the easiest succulent of the ones I picked out), a moss, and two more succulents (one for each of my suite mates to match my aloe). Inspired by Itzel's "I want a rainforest in my room," so too do I want my suite to be full of lush, green life, breathing oxygen into our lives. In the mean time, the plants here are a good place to start your plant collection. Indoor and outdoor plants, they got them here. I do wonder though what happens to their business during the dead of winter.

From start to finish we had an excellent experience. My 95 year old mother lost 12 ash trees on her…read moreproperty and wanted to replace trees. We took her to Horseford and a wonderful gentleman took her around to view different options. She chose 4 trees with their support and we arranged for delivery and planting in Plattsburgh NY. The team of Tucker, Ethan, Colleen and one other terrific guy (I didn't get his name as he was working hard) planted the trees and asked each time if we were pleased with the placement, gave us care instructions and cleaned up every inch of space they worked on. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful job they did. We'll be back for more trees and a great experience.

Unfortunately, the voles got a couple and we returned for replacements. Several employees were seen watering and zooming around in small trucks and no one offered to help us. We waited a long time for checkout and we loaded by ourselves. These were not small plants but fruit trees. Please instruct workers to provide assistance.

After comparing prices, we found that Burlington Furniture was quoting us $2,000 more than a California company, even with shipping and assembly included. Still, we wanted to support a local business, so we returned to Burlington Furniture, and they agreed to match the competitor's price. We were given an estimated delivery date of 4/30. When we followed up, we were surprised to hear that our furniture wouldn't arrive for nearly two more months. We understand that delays happen, but we were frustrated by the lack of communication. I called the manager to get clarity and was told that the employee who gave us that update was no longer with the company. She promised to follow up--which she did--but she didn't provide a new delivery timeline. Instead, she told us the order wasn't actually delayed and that deliveries typically arrive two weeks after the estimated date. It's unclear why the original estimate wouldn't account for that window, and what's worse, I never heard back from the manager again. Ultimately, the delivery company brought our furniture just five days after the estimated date, which we appreciated--but the poor communication and lack of accountability from Burlington Furniture left a bad impression. We're happy with the product, but extremely disappointed in the service. Sadly, this experience has cost Burlington Furniture a customer.

When I left a bad review of my experience with the company, they went and retaliated against me, making bad reviews for my company that they never used! This is the type of lowlife people you deal with there. Please look at how many bad reviews they have! Then, if you leave a bad review they'll actually retaliate.

These people don't give up until the repair is done right…read more I bought a Honda 21" self propelled from them two years ago. This spring I took it to them because the drive belt was thrown off one of the pulleys. They replaced the belt, checked it out and gave it back to me. It then became a Honda run-behind mower. It had two speeds. Nothing or run-behind it. It took them several tries to find the troublesome parts, but they fixed it. And I know that they only charged me for a small portion of their shop time. They didn't give up and tell me that "It's not under warranty and we can't fix it. You will need to buy a new mower". When we got it back, my wife said "they gave us a new mower". No they hadn't but was a clean as a new one. And works like a new one.
