Even when it's busy, there's plenty of parking to be found. Some of the main lots were full, but we managed to find a free spot just off of the main road. Bring your walking shoes! Even though it's a small village, you can definitely spend a few hours perusing all that they have to offer. There's a few cute little eateries, and if you fancy a beer, you should definitely check out Yellow Springs Brewing. Many spots are also dog-friendly, if you want to bring your furry friend along for the fun. You should also plan to make the short drive up to Young's Jersey Dairy for some of the best ice cream around.

Antioch College noted for it's abolitionist history and human rights initiatives is located here. Today the town is the home of poets, university professors, artists. musicians and nature lovers. Dave Chappelle has a home here. Loretta Scott King and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine have lived here as well. The town has an artistic ambiance reflected in it's color schemes, business properties and even it's trash cans. It is home to the largest LGBT community in Ohio. Other attractions in Yellow Springs are Young's Dairy Farm, John Bryan State Park, Glen Helen and Clifton Mills Nature Preserve.

It gets very crowded and in recent years that would scare me away, but the vendors and patrons are very friendly. My only negative is, I wouldn't bring multiple kids that are 5-12 years old, its so crowded keeping track of them would be difficult and I think many kids would be bored. (Maybe your kids are different) The town of Waynesville was so charming, I want to come back to town when the festival isn't going on and check it out.

Food booths were pretty good with a diverse offering. When reading about the festival before actually going to it, it said that vendors must sell some type of popcorn related item however, very few people stuck to this rule. Perhaps they changed the rule? I dunno I came to eat some serious popcorn but ended up sticking to the freebie boxes that Soin Medical Center was handing out. Who can resist free popcorn? Not I. Soin also had a really neat demonstration of robot guided surgery. Incredible!! Overall, this festival was a lot of fun. There was something to do for the entire family...eating and shopping, what more can you ask for???

We felt for her, as she handled the situation professionally and provided excellent service despite the constant oversight. We wish her all the best. Later, when we went to get ice cream, Emily was just as friendly and helpful as Grace. Unfortunately, our ice cream was already melting and dripping down the cones when we received it. A kind employee offered to have them remade, and we gladly accepted. However, the replacement order was made incorrectly, and at that point we decided to simply eat what we were given. While both Grace and Emily provided outstanding customer service, the issues with the ice cream unfortunately put a damper on the end of our visit. As visitors from Oregon, we were excited to compare the experience to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. The visit started off wonderfully thanks to your staff, but the ending left us disappointed. Overall, we enjoyed our time, but in our opinion, Tillamook still holds the edge.

There are mostly good vendors above all else, but it's also the best blooming onion (and I look forward to it every year!) We park for free and walk a bit of a distance. I love seeing the homes decorated for Halloween! We don't ride fair rides, but we do live to people watch and, this year, we caught the pet parade which was really great! So much bigger than I ever expected and some very sweet pets in adorable costumes!! Love trying the different treats. Though it's not homemade, I got a pumpkin roll from the Shriners booth and it was pretty tasty and for a good cause. Also purchased some homemade buckeyes from a church group that were awesome. Always love seeing the giant pumpkins, too! I do wish they had more local vendors for buying gifts. The vendors are mainly cheap mass produced junk shop goods (and a lot of gross political things.) Just not my vibe at all. I still think it's worth a visit though! It's well run and a great way to get into the spooky season!

Not an employee in sight. The food and bar always seem to be closed. Can't even find where to purchase their famous doughnuts. They built the huge play area for children which is great! But please don't advertise all your food and drink options if it's never going to be open or an employee around to check you out. Nothing like your toddler melting down because they want a juice and you can't find a way to pay for it. I love the baby animals and all the kids activities but until they figure out how to properly run this place I probably won't come back.

The Harvest Home Fair is a downright ancient tradition here on the West Side of Cincinnati. Every year on the weekend after Labor Day a little fair pops up to take over Harvest Home Park in Cheviot. It has all the fair essentials; rides, animals, and of course the wonderful fair food. They even manage to fit a little rodeo area in, too. The one downside was the expense. It was $5 just to get in! And then you had to pay for everything else, too. Well, the rodeo was free actually. But the rides and food were not cheap! All in all we spent $31 for my wife and me, and I can imagine a family would seriously spend some dough. But there's no point trying to deny your child the joys of a fair once they know it's there. Hey that rhymed. Awesome.

I've been to the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival a couple of times. Frankly, I enjoyed this one…read moremore. It seems smaller, but there were many good food vendors. Also other vendors and events. It is very kid-friendly, and dog-friendly. We were there for the corn, but mainly for the amazing corn dogs from Bite Me, a "gourmet" corn dog tent. Someone talked me into entering the corn eating contest. It was a weird, team event with several heats, so there really weren't any winners (or we were all winners, right?) The corn was good, the competitors were friendly, it was well-organized, and I had fun. Afterward we had a couple of corn dogs, including Sweetie's first-ever. A few sweet treats, a little wandering amongst the crowds, and we were off.

I agree with supporting local businesses but the price was almost double what you would pay elsewhere. There was a nice selection of food. We may or may not be back next year.
