There was a couple of popcorn vendors, not as much as i imagined, yet was still a great experience! I'm disabled, so i was glad to see that they had handicapped accessible porta pottys. Food booths were pretty good with a diverse offering. When reading about the festival before actually going to it, it said that vendors must sell some type of popcorn related item however, very few people stuck to this rule. Perhaps they changed the rule? I dunno I came to eat some serious popcorn but ended up sticking to the freebie boxes that Soin Medical Center was handing out. Who can resist free popcorn? Not I. Soin also had a really neat demonstration of robot guided surgery. Incredible!! Overall, this festival was a lot of fun. There was something to do for the entire family...eating and shopping, what more can you ask for???

To me in order to be a true Bluegrass Festival they need to make it a 2 to 3 day event and have some local vendors I'd suggest about 2 local music shops one of which sells high end instruments and another that sells high qualit lower priced instruments. I'd also suggest 2 to 4 local jewelry vendors that sell different types of jewelry that wouldn't compete with each other. I liked the Food Truck selection. Wholly Smokes is my favorite . I'd appreciate the opportunity to buy Festival T Shirts. I got a couple but several years I couldn't find one or they weren't available. One might ask what makes me an expert on Bluegrass Festivals. That's a fair question that deserves to be addressed. I was the Vendor Coordinator with Summergrass Bluegrass Festival for years. I did my job in good times and bad. While happily married, while grieving the loss of my wife , while going through a several relationships, I always did the best possible job I could while learning to do it. This event does bring some great Bluegrass to Fairborn. As I look into the crowd I see faces I've seen for years. It is an event I look forward to every year that has a lot of potential to be Ohios primeere Bluegrass Festival.

Buongiorno Italian…read morefall 2025 Festival My 100% Italian Wife has instructed me to provide sunny weather for the Festival, which is arguably the nicest festival in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. A weekend of wonderful Italian music, delicious Italian food, good friends, and lots of great Italian food. And of course, a large TV for the Ohio State game. Caveat: we always take our own flatware to avoid the inexpensive plastic ware provided. The John Pirelli Lodge of OSIA is located at Bella Villa Hall on County Line Road in Dayton OH, and we have been attending for 50+ years. I have never understood that many folks seek out pizza at the Italian Festival. There are at least 100 plus pizza joints in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area which offer much better pizza. There is real Italian food here - just ask all of the Italians in the food booths. I have also never understood why this festival cannot provide great Italian Pepperoni Rolls. Has no one taken the famous WV Italian Pepperoni Roll Trail (which is now extended to Davis, WV?) I always pass on Baked Italian Pasta unless it is lasagna. I have observed my dear wife making homemade lasagna, and we both comprehend the reasons that the festival cannot provide lasagna. Today it is (baked) Italian Shells plus Spicy Italian sausage and loads of other Italian goodies. As expected the shells are much overcooked and the Spicy Italian sausage is perfect. One of the very best festival offerings is the Spicy Italian sausage, which is arguably superior to any sausage offered at the Dayton Art Institute October Fest. My dear wife implores us to arrive by noon; she can easily make several laps around the grounds and scope out the many Italian Delights including 50 homemade Italian cookies and of course, the gelato. We have friends and family who delay their arrival until 6:00 PM, and we perceive controlled chaos during evening hours. Of course, we tend to enjoy arrival at the many Dayton and Ohio festivals. Great that the Italian Festive is very family friendly from newborns to folks in their nineties.

I can make it at home (I have a Greek SIL who taught me) but it's labor and time intensive, so I don't often do it. But I hit this festival early, buy a dozen (at least) of everything, shove some in my mouth and bring the rest home. I'm in and out in under an hour....parking is not a problem if you get there when they open Tonight we'll have a Greek Picnic on the patio, and I can't wait for that time to come..And the wine is cheaper here...it was $6 for what I consider a taste there. Yes, it's not cheap, but oh so worth it for the food. Already looking forward to next year.

But the food was alright…read more I liked that there were a ton of pastries you could buy and the way you order them is super efficient. They have an order sheet out with pictures of what everything is. That way when you go up to the counter, you're not wasting time and they know what to get you. The chicken gyro wasn't that good. You'd expect it to be a chicken gyro but it was really just grilled chicken breast with tzatziki sauce, onions, and tomato in a pita bread. The gyro was just alright too. We should have went inside for the lamb or the skewers. The spanakopita was good, but cold which was fine since it was just sitting out all day. It's nice that admission is only $2. The parking wasn't too bad only because we were able to find street parking nearby. Besides going there for a meal, there isn't much else to do here.

We felt for her, as she handled the situation professionally and provided excellent service despite the constant oversight. We wish her all the best. Later, when we went to get ice cream, Emily was just as friendly and helpful as Grace. Unfortunately, our ice cream was already melting and dripping down the cones when we received it. A kind employee offered to have them remade, and we gladly accepted. However, the replacement order was made incorrectly, and at that point we decided to simply eat what we were given. While both Grace and Emily provided outstanding customer service, the issues with the ice cream unfortunately put a damper on the end of our visit. As visitors from Oregon, we were excited to compare the experience to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. The visit started off wonderfully thanks to your staff, but the ending left us disappointed. Overall, we enjoyed our time, but in our opinion, Tillamook still holds the edge.

More of a fly-in for area pilots and aviation enthusiasts. Not huge like the Dayton airshow or anything. Very accessible, very family-friendly. Plenty of nearby parking, with even a few shade trees. Food trucks, ice cream, etc. Crafts for kids like compressed-air rocket making. Pedal planes. And biplane rides! Sign up early, there's a wait. Then look around, at the planes on display, the large car show, etc., while you wait for your call. Friendly people. No big crowds. Plenty of porta-potties. Shade. We had a blast. Baby K wanted to go up in a plane, so we did. $80 adults, $60 kids, for a pretty long ride. Cheaper than the WACO fly-in I think. She also loved making rockets. Lots of dogs there too, just a nice atmosphere all around. Some of the feel of Oshkosh, without the immensity.
