"You can't put a price on your health" and no truer statement can be made by myself. When I had insurance and was seeing a doctor, it was constant visits (that I still had to pay for AND constant blood drawls to check my thyroid hormone levels). Nothing ever changed and I never felt any better. What no doctor ever told me was to change my diet. Dr. Torres and his knowledge of the body and how your gut works with everything to your heart, your brain, your hormones, your metabolism and on and on...you can't even imagine how it all ties in together and yet it all makes sense. I went into the IFFH completely exhausted, depleted of energy, a metabolism that didn't work, a heart that palpitated, anxiety that Ive never had before and found out through extensive detailed blood work (that was inexpensive, I don't have insurance anymore) that all my levels were no where near where they should have been and Dr. Torres couldn't even understand how i was functioning. I needed someone who could guide me through step by step and get me where I needed to be and by the literal grace of God at the right time, he helped me turn it all around. There are other clinics similar to this one that are popping up which is nice and they are about the same price if not more. Unfortunately to insurance companies this is not considered medicine since it's natural and functional. Some insurances will take care of blood work and some hormone therapy I've recently seen in their office. I didn't realize how sick I was with Hashimoto disease (joint pain, major body fatigue, mental haziness, lack of sleep, heart palps, hair loss...) until the cloud was lifted off of me and i could see, feel, and think clearer. I want everyone to feel how I feel. I never went in the intention to lose weight but that was the by product of my body actually working again. My mother did the weight loss program with me since she was post menopausal and couldn't lose weight. She lost over thirty pounds! My program was more for health and each plan is catered to YOU. Sorry this is a long post, but I just have too many good things to say and I still visit the office after two years just for maintenance. I went to Dr Torres after seeing multiple doctors for my gut issues. I had tried many protocols with minimal improvement and definitely not long lasting. I was told that it was in my head, that all my tests were normal and to just watch what I was eating. I was frustrated, angry and depressed, I really felt hopeless at this point. At my first appointment I was literally in tears. I was embarrassed and humiliated by these gut issues that I was having. Every area of my life was affected.
