Don't do. it !!! From the time they arrived till the time they left it was one problem after another. Their machine was burning oil filled the house with smoke setting off the fire alarms. Then while in the attic they cut yes cut one of our air condition ducts !!!! How did they repair that? with tape lol so we are left to repair the duct. stay away from this company. Would I recommend this company..NO.. Yes to the workers. Why - Here is how the day went... schedule between 7 and 9. Received a call at 9:08 we will be there in 30 to 45 minutes. Arrived at around 10:30 sat in the truck until 11:03. Backed in to driveway unloaded equipment. Did the plastic prep work and tried to start the machine for removal of old installation. Machine was broken spent another 1 1/2 to 2 hours fixing. Started it up smoke every where including in the house. Neighbors call to make sure our house was not on fire. They did something else to the machine and again smoke and oil smell in the house with all the fire alarms going off. Fixed again .. Making a long story short they finished up about 7:30 that night. I asked for pictures of what they did and was told there was a website where I could view. Did not tell me the link just to go on the website and they will be there. Guess what... can't find anything, called and their wonderful AI assistant only takes message with not 1 return call. There is no follow up from this company. Horrible experience. Was quoted a reasonable price for ceiling radiant barrier and insulation installation. When they started the work they did it in reverse order which is not what the technician quoted me for. I called them and they switched, but the quality of the job was laughable. They were not using tape on the seams of the installation so I called and they told me they will not tape it and I can either have it done that way or they will end the job. i chose Insulation Commandos off the internet so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was h to reduce fireworks noise coming through my bedroom wall and the ech of the neighbors kids as they run up and down the stairs in their condo. Their stairs run along my living room wall. All aspects of the job ran smoothly and efficiently even when we encountered snags such as preexisting insulation in the walls. I purchased rockwool for best sound attenuation. I am seeing a huge improvement in noise in the bedroom but the living room is not much better. One explanation could be that the depth of the wall turned ou to be nine inches. The area the this company could use some improvement is with tarping and clean up. This is messy work. They did not cover enough of the items in the room. These guys were great. Their price was competitive but what really set them apart was the service. My rep Albert was absolutely great. He followed up with me to get the proposal signed without ever bugging me. I don't know how that's possible. I have dealt with a lot of people in the home improvement business, and Albert really stands out.. He was responsive throughout the project and always answered the phone. He was receptive to weird scheduling requests from me and he helped me upgrade my home even more by installing attic fans and recommending air duct replacements, which was needed for my 50 year-old house. And that was just my representative. The field guys were great as well. Very respectful and very knowledgeable. They also sent a massive proof to get my house done in a timely manner. I think at one point there were six guys here. I wish I could remember all of their names, but I do remember the crew chief David he was good but every single one of the guys was absolutely respectful, but they took care of my stuff almost like it was their own. Everything was covered. There were some tight spots in my attic and they kept going up trying to get to all of the old insulation. It was just fantastic. I cannot recommend these guys more. Really rough specially on cleaning old insulation. On Inspection, found out there were many places missing insulation and old insulation left overs. Inspect corners. We had rats in our attic. I called many companies. I had several lowball offers but no guarantee. I called Rodent Stop and was quoted over 14K with no radiant heat barrier. Installation Commandos gave me the best price for a complete job of rodent removal, removal and replacement of installation, and installing a radiant heat barrier. 10.5K for their best product. House now meets California's new build standards. Everyone I contacted was very professional. The workers wore protective gear and were very courteous. They left no mess. 25 on a scale of 10. It has been 10 months since the instalation. We used out A/C no more than a dozen times and now seldom do we need the house heater. Best money I ever spent. read more

First off, Justin, who came out and quoted me, was great. He took the time to explain the process, showed me around the attic, broke down how they could make the attic more energy efficient, and explained exactly what he and his team would do if we moved forward with them. So they couldn't do the work done until the Aspestos was removed. They were great at rescheduling to another day. Working and communicating with me about the project. Then, when their day for installation came, another situation happened where the company who was supposed to remove the Aspestos did not finish the job. They were very patient and waited for the other company to remove the Aspestos. When it was their turn, they moved fast and efficiently. At first we were impressed by the process of removing and replacing our attic insulation. But if you not going to go into the attic to check their work you should think twice on using them. I went into the attic to replace a light bulb and found two areas that were not insulated and have been waiting over two months for them to come back to finish the job. I'm coming back with this new rating. They sent out an electrician to fix the damaged electric fixtures. They sent out painter to fix the issue with light bulbs bulging out from the ceiling. There were areas in the attic they probably forgot to place the BATT insulations and will come out to do it. They do not vaccum out old insulations underneath the boards. They reimbursed me for the tire that I had to replace because one of the nails had punctured my tire. We got three quotes and decided to go with this company. Unfortunately, it was a big mistake. We went with this company because the owner was very persistent with wanting our business. The first red flag should have been the deposit they wanted-the other companies didn't require this. I took the day off from work to be home while they worked. They never came because of a supplies issue, I was told. They kept saying oh they are on their way. They weren't. The story kept changing. Very disappointing since I took the day off. We hired Insulation Commandos to clean our attic, air seal the entire attic, and install new insulation in the attic for $3600. Unfortunately, 3 weeks after their service we heard rodent activity in the attic. We figured since Insulation Commandos had just sealed the entire attic, we could contact them to see if they could come check the sealing in attic. They responded with, "While you didn't get the 'Whole House Rodent Proofing' package, we can send our technician back out to ensure the work you contracted us for was performed properly. Should it be determined that our work was done correctly, there will be a Service Call Fee of $150 for the onsite evaluation due onsite." After much back and forth, they finally agreed to come out at no charge and when they did come they acknowledged that there were in fact some gaps in the attic that were not sealed because they were in hard to reach spots in the attic. Then, they gave us a new quote for an additional $3600 to perform their "Whole-house rodent proofing" service. We had two other companies also inspect the attic, and both concluded that the seal we paid Insulation Commandos to do was not done properly. Direct access points into the attic were left unsealed, which has now resulted in a rodent problem just weeks after their service was performed. This was rodents getting into the attic directly from the exterior...something that shouldn't have happened if all the gaps were properly sealed. Their attic seal cost $1055 out for their total $3600 service. I trusted that $1055 to air-seal our attic would adequately address gaps and vulnerabilities in the attic and I expected the service to be comprehensive and leave us with a properly sealed attic. We genuinely wanted to work with them to address the issue but found them uninterested in helping. Instead of taking responsibility for their incomplete work, they seemed more focused on trying to charge us more, despite not completing the first job properly. Thankfully, we hired another company for $700 to seal these gaps properly and address the rodents, but this was an expense we feel could have been avoided if Insulation Commandos had done their job thoroughly. We are very disappointed with the way Insulation Commandos handled the situation and would strongly advise looking elsewhere for a company that stands by their work and values their customers. read more

After having a new air conditioning system installed, to replace an old inefficient one, we decided to make sure our attic had the correct insulation as well as the appropriate R-value. Since our home was built in the 1950's, the insulation throughout the attic was minimal. We hired Insulation Commandos to survey and provide us with the appropriate solution. The solution involved removal of the old insulation, cleaning the area, and installing the correct insulation based on our home's location.
