The only reason I knew they were there is that I heard them on the roof. I acknowledged the techs but they left without further communication. Following up they indicated they would fabricate a new pan and once complete would return to finish onsite. Now is your chance to respond Batt's. Last communication from Batt's dated May 5th, 2026: Mr. Hammond, I wanted to provide you with a quick update regarding your upcoming chimney work. The project is still moving forward as planned; however, we do need to make a slight adjustment to ensure everything is installed properly and performs as intended. We found that the existing pan is undersized and does not fully seat down onto the chase. To correct this, we have taken new measurements and are currently having a properly sized pan fabricated. Once the new pan is ready, we will also paint the existing shroud surround on-site the day of installation so that it matches the new pan for a clean, uniform appearance. As soon as fabrication is complete, I will reach out to you to get your installation scheduled. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions in the meantime.

In need of (shingled) roof replacement on our 1978 home that we bought just 9 years ago (getting…read moretoo difficult to convince the home-insurance agents that it's less than 15 years old - absent documentation). We'd had several outfits here for inspections and estimates, most of them wanted us to submit "hail-damage" insurance claims, and then they tried to tell us, "Oh no, that won't raise your premiums at all!" We called BS on each one of them. The "WAG'd" verbal-ONLY estimates that we got were all over the map. Enter HomeSafe, and John May. Phone call "about 15 min. out." Firm handshake, and some get-to-know-you conversation about history on the property and roof. Well prepared to discuss several grades and price-points of shingles, drip-edge, flashing repairs, brick-to-roof transitions, ridge-vent, decking repair, snow-and-ice treatment in the valleys, vent coping, clean-up, et.al. Probably a good 15-20 minutes on the roof, and further discussion about what he observed and documented. Our position: "done right, and with the best materials." Then the BIG question..."how much up-front?" We were surprised. John: "Nothing. We get paid when you're happy with the job." A few days later we had a WRITTEN contract in-hand, and for a VERY reasonable amount (double-digit thousands less than one very prominent local outfit). We went on the schedule for 3-4 weeks out. Dump trailer arrived day prior - parked on concrete - all debris to go directly from the roof to the trailer. Crew showed early AM for two days. Brought tarps to collect stray materials that fell from roof. Clean-up afterwards was pretty good, considering bushes / flowers / pool to work around. Had a couple change-orders (adds) that were easily accommodated. After they were done, I did my own hard look at the work - found a few nit-noids - let John know. Together, we hit the few points on the roof, confirmed the needed tweaks, and folks were back the next day to make the fixes. Money changed hands the next day, and John even brought the wife a new "hummingbird swing" that had inadvertently "disappeared" in the cleanup! We've been in the area almost 9 years, and eight times have had to contract for work that we couldn't do ourselves. HomeSafe is only the second time that: we've felt we'd not been taken advantage of; we've not had to "fight" to get the job done correctly; we've not been displeased with the final result; we'd not had to pay at least 50% up-front. John's card in on our refrigerator - permanently - for other services we might need. Y'all can't go wrong with these guys!

Integra was the right choice for me in looking to buy my first home with my wife. The detailed inspection report we received has become the foundation of my knowledge of the house itself and homeownership and upkeep, and allowed us to bargain effectively with the seller and get to a place where we are now quite happy and satisfied. Going through the process Todd our inspector was helpful the whole way - I never for a minute worried about his work or whether I would hear back from him. I would just note that Integra does not do reinspections - he explains why in his literature, but just FYI because some inspectors will do reinspections and you don't want to be caught off guard by this like I was. I would recommend discussing with your agent (and whoever) to form a plan for how to handle the reinspection. read more

Todd was very friendly, knowledgeable and I trusted the information he gave to me during my home inspection. Different than a lot of inspectors, he asked that I watch his entire inspection so I could fully understand every aspect of the things I might need to correct at a later date, even if they were small things. I now understand the potential challenges of my new home from top to bottom, and was able to get the homeowner to agree to take more off the purchase price because of the inevitable repairs. Todd's phone got wet because of the rain on inspection day, and he pulled out his trusty camera and kept working. He was VERY thorough and took the job very seriously.
