Vincent arrived on time for a service call because our air conditioner was not cooling. He was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem and explain to me very patiently why the problem occurred, how to prevent this from happening again in the future, and did all of this in Laymans terms that I could understand. In addition, he was very patient with a family member who has some learning disabilities who was president at the time. I have used and will continue to use Hiller almost exclusively for all my services in Murfreesboro that they're able to perform. Too much to say in in one review. So I'll stick with plumbing. I asked for RFQ's post inspections received 2 out of three. First company didn't take me seriously on looking at replacing a fixture and installing a bidet and quoting me on inspection repairs. They missed out on a $14k job plus $7k more on additional work. Ian from Hiller, Murfreesboro came out and took me completely seriously and sold me a replumbing job... Removal of a butt ugly hot water heater in a bathroom and installed a new gas tankless with recirculation unit outside. And what a job they did... Quick, complete, clean, and very friendly and respectful. While Ian was here I also had him look at my AC and we asked for a filtration system along with ducting and vent repairs. The repair man told my warranty he didn't know what was wrong so the warranty company refused to pay for any repair. He also tried to sell me a new 14K unit when mine is only 5 yrs old. He also turned my digital thermostat off so I could not see what the temp of the house was. read more

Nathan Steele with Hiller Plumbing came out last weekend to give us an estimate for a water leak in our bathroom. He gave us the estimate and had asked us to pick up the parts to save us money on costs from Lowe's or Home Depot. We did pick up an access panel as well as new bathtub shower fixtures. His original time was to come out Saturday, which was a week from the time he came out previously, from 1 to 3 PM. Hiller's customer service called me and said he was running late, and I said that was no problem with the new time being 3 to 5pm. He showed up a little bit after 3:30. Again, no issues at all with that. He did not have a partner which he desperately should've had because it took him over five hours to fix the water leak. This entailed cutting a hole in our drywall to create a space for the access panel we bought for him, and changing out a 3/8" pipe work to 1/2" pipes in the bathroom. He also added new bathroom fixtures, which we also bought from Lowes. In total, he was here over five and a half hours and did not get to leave until after 9 PM on a Saturday night. He should've had a partner. Nathan did excellently, but Hiller needs to do better. I strongly suggest if you use Hiller Plumbing, that you request two people come out and do the work because if you have something as simple as the bathroom leak that you thought was simple, but turned it out to be a little bit more complicated with new piping, drywall access, panel, etc., etc. like we had, Hiller needs to have at least two people come out to the job. This was too much for one person to handle. We highly recommend Nathan for any job. He did an excellent job fixing our leak issue. However, Hiller needs to be more mindful and more respectful of their employees and not overwork them like they did Nathan. He should have had a partner to help with such a lengthy job. read more

I had a water leak. They had repiped my whole house except that pipe that was behind the vanity. He said I would have to get my own contractor to remove my vanity and mirror to get to the leak. Hiller would replace the pipe. Then the other people would have to come back and reinstall the vanity and drywall my ceiling hole from the leak. I called Lee Company and they were able to do the entire project for me. Their plumbing and home improvement teams would work together. The Lee Company employees used to work for Hiller. That should tell you something. read more

Hiller was out today for a heating issue that left us in the cold. Kevin is terrific, so knowledgeable, and even showed us what he worked on with pictures he took of our unit. We have had them come to two different properties and tell us we needed to replace full HVAC and all new piping.... only to have another company come out and tell us that is not at all the case. It's absolutely criminal. Will never use them again. read more

Our plumbing project began with a small leak, in which we called for a repair. As the repair guy came to fix it he created a much larger leak that resulted in us needing to replace the entire plumbing in our home. I will say, our plumbing was going to have to be replaced eventually so its not entirely the plumber's fault, but still very frustrating that it turned into a much larger problem. We were appreciative of how prompt Hiller was initially in coming to exchange our pipes. The incident happened on Monday and by Saturday they were finished and we had all new functioning pipes! However, I was very incredibly disappointed by how little respect the team had for our time, property, and landscaping. They absolutely destroyed our yard. Our project manager was initially responsive to our concern; however, gave incredibly false timelines and was spotty at best at responding to us. Every week we were told they would come to level out our yard, lay grass seed, and poor new concrete. It took 6 weeks in sporadic, random, and unannounced intervals to "fix" the issue. I understand these guys are not landscapers... but there's no way they would have left their own yard looking the way they left ours. UPDATE: A day after submitting this review, Hiller reached out to me, acknowledged my concerns, and had a team out to fix the issue by the next day. We really appreciated the follow up! Bought new HVAC on Dec 13. Now Jan 16 and I have limited heat. Indoor temp 58. Called office and all they would do is 24 hours out apt. Text sales person who said two hours ago he would get someone out ASAP. No communication. Same thing with service two yrs ago with old unit ( under warranty and sold by Hiller) did same. At that time Jimmy Hiller called admitted that was to long with a unit they sold maintained. Seems he is good at apologies but NOT at correcting his problems. read more

Update: they are issuing a refund on 4/28/25 after learning of my issues. Thank you for the prompt follow up. 1). Set up appointment online for Dish washer repair a couple of days out. Also purchased a single access kitchen faucet to install. 2) received call 8 minutes out they don't service dishwashers but can look at line and discuss other needs, told them to come on. $92 to clear line, didn't fix issue. I asked for estimate to install kitchen faucet, after looking at his tablet for awhile, came back with $750!?!?! I passed. Just got a non related value comparison, I looked up a round trip flight from Nashville to Los Angeles for 5/5-5/6/25. All flights but 1 were under $500. So I will be helped by check in staff, stewardesses, pilots and ground crew ... twice for under $500, and to change out a faucet is $750? Wow! No thank you...ever. 3) I asked if he at least put in a new line? He said no, they don't keep that type of stuff on the truck and would have to drive to Lowe's and charge me for the trip. Wow again? Our State water cracked and started leaking on Saturday night. We contacted State and the water heater has 2 more years on its warranty. Had a case number and when the technician, Nathan came to install a new one we were told since Ferguson was closed on Sundays there was nothing he could do even though he had a new water heater on the truck. He was here less than an hour and we were told our cost was $249.00 and when we gripped he said he would cut the cost in half $124.00. He then proceeded to tell us that tomorrow when they get the replacement water heater it would cost us $1,000.00 for Hiller to install. We feel that is poor business practices and hope we never find ourselves needing to use Hiller for anything! read more

I don't understand the poor reviews. I have been a faithful customer for over 6 years and have never had any issues. They are always prompt and on time. The employees are very professional, honest, and go out of their way to make sure I am pleased with the work. I have a maintenance agreement that I renew faithfully.
