I got paired with a queer therapist and it has made a world of difference. They have the option of seeing me online or I can go into this office, which is basically an old beautiful house. The building is really nice and they have noise makers so you feel secure talking about your feelings. My therapist has helped me already reach so many of my goals. Def try this place, if they have an opening! I had to get on a waiting list at first!

I was a client at Waters Edge for almost two years. I really loved it for the first year, and…read moredidn't really have anything bad to say about it. I did the adult ED IOP for a few months, saw an therapist and dietitian, and even saw a medication management provider. I LOVED my therapist and dietitian. They were such great fits for me, which I was not expecting because I have been through so many providers historically that were not great fits. However, after one year, everything changed. My therapist was randomly dropped off the face of the earth, and out of nowhere I got a phone call saying "sorry your therapist doesn't work here anymore." Then, I was assigned another random therapist who just happen to have an opening. Shortly after, several other providers also dropped off the face of the earth at waters edge... and out of nowhere patients were all without providers. Patients who already have trust issues, were given no closure with the provider they had built trust with, when the owner of waters edge could have at least allowed providers to explain they would no longer be working for waters edge. That aside, I also was really frustrated with the financial department. I am so blessed with great health insurance. Therefore, I only had a $20.00 copayments each visit. I was pretty good about making my copayments at the time of service. However, there were a few weeks I would forget- sometimes even a couple weeks in a row. And, at one point, I had $40.00 outstanding (two copayments), and Kristy called me several times to threaten "placing my account on hold, which meant cancelling my current standing appointments and not allowing me to be seen, until the balance was paid in full." It was $40.00!!!!! TWO VISITS! I simply forgot... and, I explained this to Kristy. Therefore, I was so frustrated that she would call me more than once, and over such a small amount of money. I feel guilty posting negative things, because as I explained- when I was seeing my original providers, everything was great! I sung praises about waters edge and was more than willing to make the commute to Burnsville. However, things dramatically changed over the last few months I was a client there.

Nothing has changed about my initial review which was extremely positive and I've run into my fair share of poor health care in the last 7 years and 362 days. The Minnesota ketamine health and wellness clinic is one of the few institutions I'm aware of with their intentions facing outwards. By that I mean YOU. They are focused on you and your care and quality of life. This is a systemic ordeal throughout the clinic. Meaning whether from the front desk to the owner or vice versa every person or mechanism in place is in your best interest. I've had nothing but positive experiences here and have absolutely no reason to change that train of thought ever. Sometimes I have a tough ketamine session, the owner (Christy) is right there along with a nurse or two. They always alleviate the situation and are pure and simple salt of the earth people!! The owner, Christy then will use her extreme knowledge and wisdom to help assist me in anyway possible from a tough ketamine experience or train of thought I'm struggling to articulate. I was getting tossed around the system for my psychiatrist needs and decided to do medication management with Lindsey which was one of the best decisions I made this year! She's smart as a whip, implements some very practical principles which make life easier when dealing with multiple rx's and insurance. That alone was a blessing in disguise. Not to mention you can tell she is truly invested, wants to improve people's lives who are stagnant and simply suffering. Combine this with the rest of the staff like the nurses who are always a joy to see and could light up a room with their smiles and attitude and you have a business running perfectly. After my third infusion I thought it wasn't working so I was going to stop. Well a few days later I had some thoughts pop into my head about things I had previously thought negatively about; however, my feelings were changed about them. I was kind of blown away. So now it's been a year and I am so happy with the person I am today. Even other people tell me how I've changed. The office staff here are so amazing. They are very professional with a side of absolute compassion. I just love them like family. I've loved my treatment so much that I have added a Ketamine Integration Therapist who works here. My therapy is going so well. She is amazing. I've also added an MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC professional to work with me on medication management. One other great thing is I am a 59 year old woman and was finally clinically diagnosed with ADHD and finally being treated for it. That has made the biggest difference as well. Located in a strip mall, the unpretentious place is easily missed. They great everyone pleasantly and quickly handle the paper work. My therapist, Matt, is thoroughly prepared with all the information to help me recover from my broken leg. He is friendly, respectful, gentle and eager for my input. Throughout the session, he encourages me to ask questions and make suggestions. He gently pushes me beyond what I imagined I could do. I am amazed at how quickly I'm progressing. Matt makes me eager to do my home exercises. After just a few sessions, under Matt's guidance I've ditched my cane. Matt provides me with an interesting variety of exercises specifically aimed at my personal level and needs, and he explains them all perfectly. He urges me to do more without seeming to pressure me. He enjoys my successes as much as I do. At the end Matt encourages me to call or email anytime for questions or further help, and he replies almost immediately. I know OSI is a busy place, and I can easily see why.
