I honestly can't say enough good things about Dr. Trish Phemister, Dr. Sean McCain, and their amazing team--especially their nurse, Kimberly. From the very first visit, I felt like I was in the best hands possible. Dr. Phemister is everything you'd want in a doctor: kind, attentive, and incredibly thorough. She actually listens--like really listens--and takes the time to explain things in a way that makes sense without ever making you feel rushed or like just another number. They helped me through the most difficult period of my life. Dr. McCain is just as wonderful. He's calm, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. There's something really comforting about the way he approaches care--professional but also warm and down-to-earth. You can tell he takes pride in doing things right and won't just send you away with a prescription. And Kimberly--wow. She is such a bright light. She's always upbeat, so helpful, and on top of everything. Whether it's getting back to you quickly or just making you feel at ease during a visit, she goes above and beyond every single time. Honestly, she's one of the best nurses I've ever come across. The whole office just runs smoothly, and everyone treats you with kindness and respect. I've never felt more confident or comfortable in a healthcare setting. Both my wife and I have been going to Integrated Health's office in Carterville for several years. Dr. Ashby really does a good job of LISTENING to understand his patients. As for the Massage Therapists, both Scott and Christy do excellent jobs. I always felt that pressure and heavy handed massages--as opposed to very light touching were the best (I call it "Body Slamming"--after the wrestling shows where they flipped and slammed the opponent to the ground -- just a joke). I have used Christy during the last six months and she really strikes a balance between pressure to stretch/loosen muscles and P-A-I-N. Scott is very similar. Integrated Health has several physical therapists available so that there are always convenient times for scheduling physical therapy or massages. Although our six children 'beat us down' over the last 40 years, I always come out of my massages feeling 'taller'--again just kidding. We recommend them unequivocally. read more

Destiny the PA is a great listener and makes sure she gets answers to any questions or concerns that you might have. Dr.Ashby is an amazing chiro! I will sing his praises to everyone who needs chiro. He has greatly helped me get back to having more mobility and much less pain and tightness in my neck and shoulder. Amy Kinzie is the bees knees. It had been a while since my last visit to Integrated Medicine in Carterville. My back, neck and hip were hurting...I was a mess. Usually I don't have much pain so I knew I was well over having an adjustment. So, when I called for an appointment they got me right in. I was so thankful to get an appointment in a timely way. Once there I was told Dr. Ashby was going to be away from the office for a week. When Dr. Ashby adjusted my back I yelled out twice in pain, and laughed both times at the same time because I knew he gave my back EXACTLY what it needed. Since my adjustment I have been much better. Called the office to get an appointment and they set me up within two days! When I walked in for my appointment the front desk lady was extremely nice! Everytime I have contacted the office they have been nothing but great! Dr. Ashby is excellent! The day after treatment he personally called me to see how I was feeling after treatment! His assistant has been so caring! It is hard to find doctors to pay attention and take care of them problem! Dr. Ashby did that and more. I always get good information to be more healthy in general. This place has helped me in so many ways. They found out about food sensitivities and allergies that no other doctor could figure out. I had covid and much inflammation for 8 months post covid. I was on the diet that reduces inflammation for 2 and a half weeks and was able to get off the bp meds that covid caused me to be put on.
