All other Chiropractors would work on you for 10 minutes tops...adjust nothing and recommend you come back in 3 days when the pain would just return...many times even worse. In one visit to Dr. Van Der Veer this guy did more for me in one visit than all the other Chiropractors & Orthopedics combined. He took one look at me walking in and said your cr00ked. I said something's not right. He worked on me for over 45 minutes this was after being on a TENS unit for 20-30 minutes to help reduce the swelling in my back so his adjustments would stay in place. When I got up off his table after almost an hour I felt like I was standing upright for the first time in a long, long time. I work on my feet constantly 10-12 hours 5 days a week so it's important to make sure my spine and body is aligned properly and now I typically visit him just for routine maintenence. TRUST ME when I say there is no one better! The guy is everything you ever want when it comes to a Chiropractor. He listens and explains what he's doing as he's doing it. He also told me he was a nutritionist and if I ever had any questions to feel free to ask. I was given an ice pack and some bio freeze and told to come back for my results in a day or two. I mentioned how I wasn't sure if I could I would have to figure a babysitter out and then make an appointment. He said bring them. You'll be in and out and I would rather take care of your back and get you up and running again then to have you miss an appointment. I was a little apprehensive about bringing 3 small children ages 2,3,and 6 into my appointment but Dr. Nate was so good with them. He showed them what he was doing, he had them check my feet. He really made me so relaxed having them there because honestly I was waiting for it to be an awful idea. I have brought them in plenty times since and I am feeling better than I have in a while. I also love the little gifts I get in the mail every once in a while. As I was very…read morenervous about my first session (since I NEVER had a massage before), she talked to me about my issues and what her plan of treatment was going to be. She seemed very knowledgeable and was extremely pleasant. She made my first session a positive one as I was able to relax and indulge in the moment, although in pain. As one session will not heal you or anyone, who has an injury as I did. But I was looking for relaxation upon my first session and she exceeded that goal. Needless to say I will never fear massage therapy again. As treatments continued I became more relaxed and comfortable with each session. The treatments have been an extremely positive outcome for my healing process. She has giving me many useful suggestions on ways to relieve pain and discomfort on my injured areas.
