He also developed bed sores at the state funded nursing facility he was in. After a year they had not healed. After long legal issues, insurance came through, and I flew him here. I had found a great shortage of beds in the area, and some places were down right rude, wouldn't call back, one even hung up on me, when I got persistent. Seaside was none of that. They immediately gave me a tour, and I found a warm caring environment. This is not easy in this profession. Coming up on a one year anniversary, with NO complaints. Even the janitorial staff say Hi to my brother by his first name when he wheelchairs by. Oh, and his bed sores were healed in a matter of months, and are still gone...

I would be happy to have a family member be a patient there. The Cedars is non-profit, and their focus on quality patient care shows. The bottom line is not about money. I was proud to work there, and I would work there again. It is a clean facility, with very caring CNAs who are very good at their jobs. The nurses are smart and caring. The PTs, OTs, speech therapist and therapy assistants have excellent skills. The Cedars have had the same staff for many years. Overall I really am impressed with the level of care they provide.

I have mentioned the injury to doctors for all twenty of those years and no one has ever listened. Dr. Bechtel immediately said "let's look more at that." He took one like and went "is it here?" And without even searching the musculature immediately found where the pain was. He built a schedule for me that ramps down. Unlike a lot of other chiropractors, they aren't looking for me to be a patient forever; they want to get me feeling better. And 5 weeks in I'm walking better than I have in years.
