I cannot say enough amazing things about Jane. My daughter has been in counseling for about 3 years…read morenow and we never saw any results until we started seeing Jane. Jane doesn't just help our daughter, she has given me countless tools as well. I finally feel like I'm actually equipped to be a parent for the first time in 10 years. I also picked up her book Raising Humane Beings and I couldn't put it down. I read the whole thing in 2 days and had so many "ah-ha" moments. The way I parent has basically done a complete 180 since meeting Jane and our family feels so much more calm and connected now. Jane was born to do this work. I've even decided to start going to her myself for non-parenting counseling as well. If you want actual results from counseling, look no further. Jane is the real deal. Edit: After reading through some of the other reviews I feel the need to add that some of the tools Jane offers may not be considered "conventional"... and that's a GOOD THING. That's why her tools actually work. Don't expect the same old song and dance you're going to get from any counselor you go to. If you go into therapy with an open mind and a willingness to do the work, you will see results immediately. An example for me was her "talking stick" exercise. I thought to myself "there's no freaking way out family is going to sit down and do talking stick"... and after Jane had my daughter and I practice it in a session, it's our new favorite thing! It instantly made me feel so much more connected to my daughter and helped her feel heard and validated. But again, having an open mind and being willing to try something different is key. You have to actually want your situation to change, otherwise no counselor or amount of therapy will work. Seems like the only negative reviews were from people that either never actually had a session with her, or went in and didn't try the tools she recommended, which says less about Jane and more about the reviewer IMO.

Since meeting Jane, my relationship with my partner has transcended any space it's been in before…read more We have ben able to lean into the tools and see real change occur between us. It was difficult and the methods never felt helpful in the moment because of our patterns but we learned that they were doing deeper work in spite of our resistance. While there's a long road ahead, we finally feel like we're in sync.

This was an assigned visit, not a facility we personally selected, and after our experience I would…read morenot choose to return for behavioral health services. The problems started before we even arrived. When scheduling, I provided insurance information and was told they did not accept/cover our insurance, followed by a discussion about an income-based payment arrangement. That didn't sit right with me, so I contacted our insurance company directly and confirmed that not only are behavioral health services are covered at 100%, they're covered fully at this facility. We later received another call from the facility regarding insurance, and I again explained that I had already verified the coverage myself. The entire process surrounding insurance and payment felt unnecessarily confusing from the facility standpoint. We were also told registration paperwork would be sent ahead of the appointment. It never was. There were two appointment-reminder emails, but no registration paperwork that we could find. When we arrived, we were asked whether it had been completed and then told there wasn't enough time to complete it before the appointment, so it would have to be done afterward. The lobby experience was extremely chaotic. This location appears to serve a wide variety of community needs, and I absolutely recognize the value of that. There is a hydration station, pharmacy services, security, and even a Narcan vending machine, which I genuinely appreciate seeing available and accessible in the community. That said, the environment did not feel appropriate for the type of behavioral health experience I would personally seek out. The lobby is large, loud, and busy, while the staff behind the glass speak so quietly that both of us repeatedly struggled to hear what was being said. There was also a constant flow of activity involving the secured restroom and people coming and going. Overall, it felt much more institutional than therapeutic. The actual assessment was perhaps the most disappointing part. He was taken into a room where his assessment was conducted with someone appearing remotely on a tablet. He came out feeling that the interaction was rushed and impersonal, and he also had difficulty hearing the person conducting the assessment. For something as personal as behavioral health, I find that setup incredibly disconnected. It gave us the impression of getting people through an intake process rather than creating an environment where someone would feel comfortable opening up and being properly assessed. The staff members we interacted with were pleasant enough, and I recognize that this facility provides important services to people in the community. My criticism isn't that those services shouldn't exist... they absolutely should. It's that if I were independently choosing behavioral health care for someone I care about, I would look for a smaller, calmer, more personal environment where the experience feels centered around the individual rather than the process. For us, this was a required box to check, and it was checked. We will not be returning voluntarily. The two stars are primarily because I appreciate the community resources available here, particularly the Narcan access and hydration services. Unfortunately, the behavioral health experience itself was not one I would recommend.

My experience here was horrible. I was persuaded to return "for my own good" after suggestions that…read more I was "too sensitive" and so on. This is a terrible place. The counselors have questionable training, shaky ethics and often seem to bring personal bias to their interactions with clients. There is a streak of cruelty and a disingenuous quality to their advice. Record keeping is sloppy and test results lost. At one point they insisted that I'd never had a particular test, thus nothing to report. Some weeks later, the results miraculously surfaced. Sadly, many of the clientele appear to be extremely vulnerable folk with limited choices. I realized that I had a choice. I heartily recommend that you avoid Terros. This place is toxic.

Janet Callahan is one of the best in her field, I've been seeing her for more than a decade and…read moredon't know what I will do when she retires. Janet is not a counselor, she's not there to talk about your feelings or give you "homework" to make you feel better. She's there to manage your medication and ensure that it is working as it should. She's not a teddy bear, but she is friendly and professional and intelligent about what she does; I'll take that any day. I've found that Janet is not typically late and she expects you to be on time as well. If you are late, she reduces your appointment time so she's not late for the next patient. This is how it should be in my opinion, as I don't want my schedule mucked up because you couldn't be on time. If you're looking for someone who is simply amazing at what she does and who gets results, I highly recommend Janet Callahan.

I have a…read moredegree in social work and have been a little apprehensive starting therapy because I worry it would just be things I have already told myself or came to the realization of in past classes and in my line of work. In the end, while very emotional, I asked for some concrete details on future sessions and how it would be effective. This apparently offended her as she stood up and told me I could have her refer me to someone else and walked out. She didn't even give me a second to collect myself, shake my hand, or look me in the eye as she very quickly said bye. I was then forced to be in front of a group of strangers still crying while I paid my co pay. I was embarrassed and felt that someone who has been in this industry as long as Dr.Drake should understand why people want to know their treatment is going to be effective as it can be expensive and takes time out of their day. I left feeling guilty and hurt which is not how an individual should leave a therapy session. Dr. Drake if you don't enjoy your work do not push that onto clients/patients.

They have made what seems the impossible, a realistic goal to strive for to achieve. I am helping a friend of mine who was in need of their services. They were able to set up an online evaluation within days of my call, not like the others who said they were booked for weeks. To be able to have the evaluation completed online was a God send. It makes it so much more do-able for people that don't have their license and don't drive to be able to meet and complete the requirement set by MVD. Even after the screening when I had questions about the next step for my friend, Nathan was so knowledgeable and cut out all the confusion. He even made a recommendation of a provider who can help... I know someone else who will benefit from a Stonewall Institute and will be sending him over next as well as let him know it's not as frightening as one might think...just get it done!!!! Thank you Nathan and Stonewall.
