This pool is everything. Especially on a hot day in Madison! This Sunday we went here on a whim for the first time. It was so nice! So much space for all people. There's areas for lap swimming/more adult centric activities, and kiddo friendly sections. And it has a slide!!!! No need to wait for hours at a water park to go down a slide. This slide gives you the thrill you seek, with no wait. Less the kiddos also waiting for their turn! The chairs are ready great quality for a public pool. They aren't the most comfortable thing in the world, but they are sturdy and do the job. Water was clean. I saw one hairball in the drain, which was a little gross, but for a public pool I felt safe. I didn't venture into the bathrooms this time so can't speak to those. My partner went to see the snack station and said there were plenty of affordable options should you get hungry. You are allowed to bring in food and drink, but there is a designated area to eat them. I saw a full season for residents is $85 and a daily was $6 (at time of writing this review). It's worth checking out for how reasonable it is. I'll definitely be back again! read more

We love Goodman pool. There are concessions back now - Ice cream, chips and candy plus sodas and water. Big community pool with two fun slides and two diving boards. Lifeguards do a great job. Tons of deck chairs plus lawn to sit on. Zero depth pool for the little ones. Super family friendly. Diverse attendees unlike pretty much every other pool in Madison. All inclusive swim and dive team and morning swim lessons too. We love it here! read more

It's taken me years to finally go here. I assumed it was crowded, obnoxious, and I had heard stories about "Code Brown" incidents. But, with two middle schoolers in tow, I braved it today. There are plenty of pool options for everyone and lots of spots to hang out. The crowd got bigger as the day wore on, but I didn't notice any obnoxious behavior. Plenty of life guards paying attention, and the parents seemed on top of the kids. Maybe I was just lucky, but it was a good time. read more

This is the best outdoor pool for lessons that we have been to. It's beautiful, well maintained, and the instructors are great. The classes are also very affordable especially considering the high quality instruction you are given. The lesson coordinator, Oliver, is a real gem with some of the best customer service skills of anyone I have seen. His kindness has made me a long term customer! They are really great with kids who are nervous or anxious as well. Made my nervous swimmer really come out of her shell and get more comfortable. The only negative I see about the pool is during open swim and that's only because it's so packed and there isn't much room in the pool and it's near impossible to find a seat. Though this is likely because they are such a great pool. So my only negative is because they do what they do so well that everyone wants to come. read more

$5 for a great multi-use aquatic center that's open to all? Yes, please! I got the chance to check out the Goodman Pool today with some cousins, my sister, and their various kids of various ages. A bunch of adults and children from 8 months - school age and everyone had a great time. Lots of safe places for splashing about for the littlest ones, deeper water for proper swimming for the older ones as well as fountains, spray features, and 2 slides to be enjoyed by all ages. I had a blast and we plan on making it a regular summer family event. read more

Its almost criminal you cant bring in anything but water, there are no concessions, the soda machine is closed too. Only a government could spend so much money on a nice facility and make it uncomfortable and inconvenient. Of course no chairs either. read more

Great pool and it is clean. The water slides are wonderful for kids and adults. I like that there are areas that are shaded for people. There are some safety concerns though. The lifeguards are pretty much powerless. Really no one listens to them and people are crawling over each other. People sit in front of lifeguards so they couldn't access the pool to save anyone. I saw one lifeguard repeatedly using her whistle to try to stop people from crossing over the lap lane. She ended up just stopping because no one listened. Many kids jump off the diving board and can't swim. Life guards tried to talk to the kids but they go right back in the lane to jump off the diving board. Some lifeguards were talking to their friends and not paying attention. For the amount of people there, there wasn't enough people supervising. It really was a free for all. read more

Great place for people of all ages! I like the zero entry for very young kids and dive boards for the more developed swimmers. We had a season pass this year and certainly got our use of it! A great was to cool off on a hot summer day, without sacrificing water safety. Several guards keep mischief under wraps. read more

Why all chairs? So stupid! When you go to a water park or any swimming at that, you want lounge chairs. Cheap place, you would think they could afford it after 10 per person for a adults. They couldn't even get a comfortable chair at that matter. read more

This pool would be great if their hours weren't completely exclusionary​ to people who work second shift. Only open from 1pm to 545pm most days because of lessons, so I guess I'll go elsewhere pretty much every time. At least the pool is saline but it doesn't matter because no one but kids will be able to use the place. read more

I love the facility but what makes a facility is how the workers treat their customers. The other day I was there at the concession stands and according to the workers at my transaction, their computers "crashed" and they couldn't use cards as a form of payment. So the hound girl and maybe her manager asked if I have any cash I told them no, which I really didn't. And the girl said that they were only excepting cash now. And I flat out asked, so that means that we can't get any food. And they both nodded and said yes. Not only that but I went up to the main entrance area to ask those people behind the counter if they can compensate anything since it happened on our transaction and the girl said no that there is no way to do that. I was so taken away at that. And we didn't have anything else to eat. Also, every time that we go there almost everyone who works there always seems annoyed and bothered by us "customers". My kid loves it but I'm not happy with their workers. read more
